Of the 4 or 5 other Ombar dashcam installation videos, yours is the FIRST one to use the electrostatic film to mount the cameras! Well done sir! I do have one question about the rear camera. Couldn't you have ran the wire through the factory grommet? No leak possibilities going through the grommet and a cleaner install. Otherwise great video!
Great job but next time I'd run that rear camera wire inside the trim and through the wiring boot. It would make it a much cleaner install, and your customer won't see an ugly black wire every time they open the trunk.
Ah, you referring to the rear camera? I thought he was going to tuck the wire behind that plastic trim panel by the window... He almost got everything tucked away 😢
Mine is hardwired it turns on automatically when the Car starts the wires are all hidden except for 6 inches sticks out to hook up camera . That camera you had was dope. I want one . All love and respect Ernest but they do sell wire kits where you can hardwire cameras without needing cigarette lighter.
Can you remove these from the window easy when you leave your car? I just had my car broken into and I'm sure they would've taken this if it were in there.

Yeah That should work! Just what we came up with.

Looking into a dash cam but that hanging wire would drive me crazy 😭
Ernest I do not like wires in plain sight when you walk in to vehicle. Mickey Shorr installed mine with no visible wires super clean Job.

The customer did not want the power wire hidden.
Isn't that what I did?

@@RoadsideRescuehe meant the very top part of the rear door is my guess.
You did go underneath the weather strip on the other side 😅

Youd have to work to pull the film off, but you could break it off just like a rear view mirror?
Dashcam companies need to start making dashcams that can upload the footage to a storage cloud instead of usb card.
I just bought this cam not too long ago, and for some reason, the downloads don't show up on my phone.
Neat it has an anti glare film in the kit... I dont see that included in other camera set ups
Does the camera have good audio too?
the clip at the end at night was the original audio
@@RoadsideRescue nice. Looks like I will be getting one or two
How is this camera powered?
USB 12v
Ah, Ernest didn't show that part of the install?
I would think he was going to hard wire it to the fuse box😢
He did mention at the first part briefly 0:30
You can. I offered, but this customer didn't want that.
