An easy way to tell if your herbs are finished steeping (infusing) is that the herb will look spent. The color of the herb will fade out. The roots of dandelion will take longer to finish, than the above ground plant (leaves, blooms, stems.
It depends on what you need it for. If it's as a general tonic I would say 1ml to 2ml per day. Personally speaking then, if I am taking it to fight something off (if there is a virus going around or I've gotten ill) I would take 1 to 2 teaspoons for the short term.
Any volume of vodka. I am not familiar with the types f vodka but I have heard that for tinctures it should be 80% but you mentioned any, so if I get a lesser volume it will be okay? Thanks so much ❤
Thank you for asking the question. It's a good one! I have read that too, and there are different schools of thought on it. As far as I know, I don't think it's strictly true. I normally use 37.5% proof vodka, because it's far more practical to get that, and it is totally fine.
You can if you like although I don’t normally bother and it’s always been fine. Personally I don’t think it’ll change potency much as far as I know since the helpful compounds are infused into the liquid.
I have watched and made tincture from videos. I have all stored in dark bottles. I labeled them what they can help with. ( antibiotic, inflammation, coughs, flu so on ). However, not one of the videos ( 100s) ever say how to use these. 😂 Drops, droppers, teaspoon, so on. Same with this video. 😢. So does anyone know of any herb books with this kind of information. Or videos. Thanks for this video.
HI there, I totally understand. i have a teaspoon when needed and take it from a teaspoon. We aren't really allowed to give advice on it other than that unforunately. Anastasia
I am an alcoholic and so alcohol in this would not work for me. I think I will use a coconut glycerin. Do you think I should add water to it or just use the glycerin? And for the same amount of time?
Ahhhhh yes, I am trying to get hold of vegetable glycerine so that I can experiment with it and develop an alcohol-free recipe. I'd really love to do that too as I have people like you who have zero alcohol. I have never done it before with glycerine so I can't say for sure, but I do know it's supposed to be a great option.
@@KindEarthTV Here's a recipe I have and a link to the glycerin: Lemon Balm Tincture making Not difficult. Super easy. Was more difficult to find a clean glycerin because there is soy, corn, palm and some coconut but I needed more than 8oz. I finally found a coconut source. I linked it here. I use a 32oz glass jar with a plastic lid. Clean /boil the jar. Cool off. Add to jar: ¾ cup vegetable glycerine ¾ cup filtered water 1 cup dried leaves (lemon balm) Stir gently Seal and store in a dark place. Once a week turn jar upside down and back to blend After 6 weeks it is ready. Add to clean tincture bottles. Enjoy Other prep and storage tips: Have fun in the making and processing. I saved any brown or blue glass tincture bottles I had used up (with dropper), as well as any glass supplement bottles that color to pour the liquid in that didn't fit in bottle with dropper lid - all cleaned very well of course. Then just label with tape. I put mine in the fridge afterward because there could be a contamination factor with keeping them in the cupboard, although I never experienced that. But I just keep all backups in a little cubby in the fridge and the ones I'm using in a little plastic basket in the fridge. Best reason to keep tinctures in a basket is because the bottles weep from the dropper as you may know. wildlyorganic.com/products/vegetable-glycerine
Hi there, personally if I’m fighting something off I might have a couple of teaspoons day. If there are lots of coughs or contagious things going around I’ll take a teaspoon or two a day to ward off any infection. That seems to work for me along with a healthy diet.

Oh, wow!
Thanks so much, Anastasia ❤💞🌹🙏
You're welcome 😊
Awesome, I'm going to try this. Thanks Ana
I am happy to hear that. Enjoy making it. It's a real game-changer for me!
How much should I take, and how often? My knees have been hurting, and I'm looking for a natural remedy.
Can you just juice the roots and add the juices to the vodka directly to shorten the time to make a tincture?
Thxs so much for this video. 💐 please can you tell me the benefits of making this tincture?
Thanks Ana

I did mine and the color of the liquid is like a dark/bright green. Still smell the vodka too. Is that good? I also let it sit since June 28, 2024.
Great video. Thank you so much
Glad you like this 🙏✨

@@KindEarthTVnext step, make your own vodka using potatoes from the garden!
Kind Earth: pls show us potato vodka. ThQ. Mumbai
Should I additionally strain through a cheesecloth or would that mess up the potency?

The government is NOT giving anything to anyone without TAKING it from people who have worked hard to EARN it and DESERVE to KEEP it!! 😢
Anastasia, can you flavored vodka? If not, I need to buy regular vodka. Ty
Any vodka would be fine. The flavour might clash with the bitter dandelion… but hey might also taste good 😊 The tincture will work the same though 🙏✨
@KindEarthTV ok, trying it, got a batch started yesterday.😊 Also I put moonshine in it. That should be interesting. 🫠
@@vikimacht3130 excellent - I am happy to hear that you have started your batch! Let me know how it tastes when it's ready
