I'm also in Parker at the moment. Last year at the same spot I'm in now, a camper fed these donkeys. But apparently they wouldn't leave. He had an elaborate outdoor setup with awnings, table, carpet, etc. He said the donkeys destroyed his camp. Leaving for higher ground toward the mountains at daybreak. Temps are rising fast here!
Black Meadows has really changed in 50 years my parents had a old 1950s ham can 48 ft long back in the day so cool to go down on weekends and holidays I miss the old black Meadows still have the 1948 ham can but not there Black Meadows has really changed

🙋♀️Hello Russ! Beautiful day for a scenic drive with a beautiful clear blue sky. Interesting history about Crossroads. Sad in a way wondering what became of all those people? Like you said, if those walls could talk. Interesting tree. Unique. Has a character all. of its own. I love the aerial views reflecting the various OHV trails to explore, the beautiful turquoise color of the river, the various browns of the dunes & surrounding mountains. In hopes you have a wonderful weekend! 👍
@@mariemorgan7759 Marie, If you on I-40 Texas a must stop is The Big Texan in Amarillo. On my Places&Travei 2 playlist video #8 shows why. I first ate there in 1985. An experience and great food.
That's definitely a nice drive. Beautiful area, great drone footage. So nice to see the burros. Glad they saved part of the town, and put the story boards up. 😊👍
I was through there on a motorcycle last week. I saw plenty of burros, but I didn't see the usual cop that sits around the stop sign at the hwy 62 corner...
When we were down there in January we went out into the desert with the side-bys. I came across fresh donkey poo and fresh foot prints or shall I say hoof prints. I also found some fresh kitty cat prints. I kept looking around. I had not seen them all day and this made me pause because a lot of times these prints don’t stay with the wind and maybe a little rain but they were absolutely fresh. Kind of scary
The housing you mention where run by Met Water, there’s some more housing up by the HQ for Met. Desert Branch. We had a little o once store there too. All the way up Chopper Basin there’s a lake w used to get water across the canyon.
I hope you didn't have to purchase fuel in Cali? Hell, I hope you didn't have to buy fuel anywhere. Good luck Russ when it gets to 10 dollars a gal. Crazy. Oh ya,, hope you don't have to eat either the way food prices are rising.
I can only imagine how many people have come to visit Arizona because of your videos. Someday I will be one of them. 😁

I agree. I'm hating Ormond and bike week nonsense.
I like Needles, Blythe and Yuma. Laid back and minimal traffic.

You drove right past our RV at Riverland. We are back to Montana in three weeks.
I’m probably turned around a bit. Isn’t there a memorial nearby commemorating WW2?
Happy trails!

People feed the mules that are in Custer State park in South Dakota.
How ru handling high fuel prices
How approachable are wild burrows
Some are used to Human contact. The ones that aren't around people, are wild and will run off.
What's up Russ! I'm back!
Are you full-time in your RV what do you have a home in Arizona love the videos
Where does the Colorado river begin , what supplys the water
