it's overbuilt these days compared to 1990. Houses and stores all over.... nothing compared to the good old days...last there 6 years ago. Climbed to the summit many time on Bell Rock.... illegal now. thanks for the video
When you say its a kodak moment , your showing your age Russ. I lived close to a kodak factory in Rochester new york when they were booming . Thats how old i am. Thanks for the boondocking spot .
early in the morning is the best time of the day...and you are able to enjoy beautiful (crowded) spots like Sedona...but sometimes i wish to be back in the 80s :-)
First time I spent time around Sedona was September 1974. Just out of HS with a couple of buddies in my '66 VW Van. We parked on the side of the road and hiked down to Slide Rock. There was no park, no fees, just a bunch of hippies and freaks having a good time. Went back in 1979 with my first wife. She endured the hike and I endured her lack of appreciation of the area. Then in 2000, I took the love of my life and two boys. We had a great time as snow flurries began to fall. By the time we made it to Flagstaff is was a full on snow storm. Ah, the memories. Thanks Russ for this and all your videos!
Russ have freind in sedona been going there years . Best place on the planet . Only green McDonald arch sign in the world .was there when they put the first roundabout in at camp Verde. With a straight drive through centre for fire trucks . Great state Arizons . 👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
We love Sedona as well the red rocks are amazing a great alternative to Sedona is Valley ofFire State park in Nevada actually I like it a little more everything is in a smaller area & if you’re lucky 🍀 there is RV camping & tenting within the park we stayed a week and was amazing
We were there in May, glorious days. Yeah it’s busy, yeah there are plenty of crowds but tickle my whiskers and call me Susan, it’s worth it every single time. We been many times and will continue to go back many more. Life is short so do what makes you happy. Xx
My trip taking has been little to none for the past couple of years . I love Arizona and miss our summer travels to all the neat places in which you have shown. Your videos make me a little sad and happy at the same time. Thanks for the video ride along. Looking forward to your next stop. Be well
While in the area check out slide rock north of Sedona 40 years ago when We would go there it wasn’t a state park then We had to find a place to park down the road and walk to slide rock.
Beautiful scenery and great videography to. It’s nice to see somebody that knows how to pan with their camera correctly. None of this back-and-forth as quick as you can stuff. Take care and safe travels my friend.
Just visited area 3 months ago… ahh amazing 😻 driving down on 89A from Flagstaff is an amazing drive … Slide Rock State park ❤️🚗… really really beautiful… thank you Russ 👌
Wow beautiful scenery. Some friends were in Sedona in May and were treated to a display of UFO's. Love the hot air balloons...I wanna go on one!!! Thanks Russ.😊
The Sedona area is, indeed, beautiful and well-worth visiting - particularly the Oak Creek Canyon north of Sedona. I've always regretted that this area was not protected by making it a national park decades ago, before it became so heavily populated. Thanks very much, Russ!
I love the red rock mountains, cliffs…..So pretty….It’s hard to believe it’s as green as it is….What a video..Thank you Russ…HAVE A GREAT DAY….SAFE TRAVELS!!!!
Absolutely Stunning Scenery in Beautiful Northern Arizona! Thank You for so many great videos of the American West. Keep living the Dream!-Love The Channel!
Great video. We're going there in about 10 days. We're like you, our 1st visit was late 80s. What a transformation. Thank you. Now we know where to boondock.
OMG. I can't believe all the changes since the last time I was up there. It's been a few years. Looks like it's time for a road trip. Sure can't beat 89A up to Flag.
MY FAVORITE place ~ SEDONA and the red rock energy and so many things to see there ~ Oak Creek Canyon always so incredible and that freezing 🥶 ice cold water running through ~ Downtown area w/ so many shops and places to eat / drink and gotta see Talaqapaque ~ beautiful area full of just about everything ~ Airport Mesa Vortex area and a hike around Bell Rock / Castle Rock ~ just amazing magical scenery everywhere ! Boondocking is def on my list of things to do there . That would be wonderful there W/ the stars shining down there ⭐️ You def made a good choice to stop in Sedona ~ and thanks for the ride along ⭐️ Look fwd to the next video Sir 😀 Safe travels 🚐
Wonderful video, Russ, thank you. Sedona is such a beautiful area and nice to visit. The "spiritual" aspect of Sedona, however, is related to dark origin, sadly. Everyone have a great day. Greetings from central Florida.
Thanks for the great tours of places I have always wanted to visit but wasn't able 😕 I was out west in the early 70s but there is so much to see 2 weeks just was not enough.
Wow. Gorgeous. What a pretty town, with gorgeous views. Here in far NE Minnesota we are also national dark sky certified...with special street lighting. " Coo'l " ✨✨🌘
I agree Russ. Sedona is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Been there a few times and can't wait to go back. I actually had s coworker whose parents lived in those homes right below the church with the cross. This was years ago. Now, they say lots of people have bought homes as VRBO rentals. The citizens of Sedona are not happy.
Visited Sedona in 2018 and it was great. Hope to make it back one day. I visited Red Rock State Park. I hiked some of the trails there. Very pretty and not tough to hike.
Beautiful drive, and area. Would be neat to ride an air balloon in that area, imagine the views. Heck yes, looks like a great spot to boondock. Enjoyed! 🙂👍
I had a g/f there years ago before all of the roundabouts and crowds, it's now like a lot of places in AZ. He gets out and about before most people wake up.
God Bless , United States America , Russ , RVerTV Fans. Russ Too Cool 4 School. Will Russ ; In future videos - ASK Local Cows 4 directions ; COW HUMOUR. We Love RVerTV - Grand Journey Thru U.S.A. - Grand Videos - Grand Music . Happy Trails Amigos.
It has been several years since I was in Sedona and Oak Creek. Nice to watch your video and see the changes and it still is just as beautiful as I remembered it being
Gotta give you an unfortunate update: Dispersed camping in the Sedona area is now limited to designated areas. For example FR525 there’s only 5 small areas to boondock, and it gets very tight by the end of each day.
"Sedona" was the name of the wife of the founder of the town of Sedona. Nice Red Rocks everywhere and the temple built on a red cliff. Sedona is a city rich in Arts and Culture, like Santa Fe in New Mexico. There is a "d*mn" Red Rock Canyon in every western State ... lol ! "Arizona Highways" magazine always makes a yearly special about this area. Adding to all the woes we have to live through (politics, inflation, high gas prices, the war in Ukraine, etc), there is a new resurgence of COVID with emerging variants. Be very careful around groups of people. We love so much the documentaries you offer us 2 or 3 times a week !! RICHARD
We boondocked south of Sedona near Palatki historical site. Got a very good tour by rangers. Learned a lot about the early people-made a Video on it. It’s on TH-cam. You can look it up with my name & the words Palatki or Sedona. We found it too but crowded & too expensive for us. Most properties taken up by the rich crowd near the town. Only the scenery is cheap in Sedona.
Hi, Russ, I was in Quartzsite last week just to take a look around but only stayed for a few hours it was just too hot so I headed back to my off-grid property outside of Bonanza Oregon. I'll come down for the RV show when the weather is cooler and try to meet up with you. I'll email you with my contact info so you can let me know if you are ever in my area so you can stop by for free camping. Take care, Mike
For all your Farmers out there diesel is going very fast now so people need to load up on their diesel because once it's gone it's gone they're having a diesel shortage and they just said that it's going fast so there isn't much time they didn't give us a Time when they're going to run out so God bless you all and stay close to God
We boondocked there in a large lot just off the road that led up to the cliff dwellers. WATCH OUT FOR GOAT HEADS. I ruined you to bicycle tires with them
It's beautiful but doesn't have great camping. The boondocking spots are crowded and also where locals come to shoot whatever ridiculous guns they have right where everyone is camping. The last time i was there, someone was firing something that sounded like a cannon.
it's overbuilt these days compared to 1990. Houses and stores all over.... nothing compared to the good old days...last there 6 years ago. Climbed to the summit many time on Bell Rock.... illegal now. thanks for the video
Totally agree. It was much better before
And in 1990 it was overbuilt compared with 1970. Time marches on.
When you say its a kodak moment , your showing your age Russ. I lived close to a kodak factory in Rochester new york when they were booming . Thats how
old i am. Thanks for the boondocking spot .
Thanks!
I'm planning to up there on the 3rd.......
My favorite place Sedona, Az. Beautiful.
Nizhoniful...Thanks.
early in the morning is the best time of the day...and you are able to enjoy beautiful (crowded) spots like Sedona...but sometimes i wish to be back in the 80s :-)
Great video! Gorgeous area. Thank you for always letting us know where and how to get there! You are so generous and detailed with information🤗
Sedona is a beautiful area to visit.

@message me 👉👉@rvertv1 not sure how to message you about that.
Beautiful place to live Sedona and Oak Creek. Wow.
That color contrast of the reds, blues and greens is eye popping!!
Russ have freind in sedona been going there years .
Best place on the planet .
Only green McDonald arch sign in the world .was there when they put the first roundabout in at camp Verde. With a straight drive through centre for fire trucks .
Great state Arizons .

Agree the area around Sedona is just beautiful. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
When I lived in Cottonwood in the early 80s I don’t remember a village of Oak Creek. I remember Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona. It’s a pretty place.
Moved to the Village in '81, so it was there.
@@susanclark5260 I guess I just don’t remember it. It was not something that was important to me I guess. I was a teenager and all into cars.
Nice video of beautiful scenery; you should have seen it in the early 70’s😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👌
I was a little kid when I first went through back in the 60s and 70s., there wasn’t much there then.
Hey, Hey, Hello RVerTV Russ Great To See You Today My Friend. THANKS For The Day Out.👍

Absolutely gorgeous amazing nature with the magnificent mountains. Arizona has such amazing nature.

Well that is very beautiful

The Sedona area is, indeed, beautiful and well-worth visiting - particularly the Oak Creek Canyon north of Sedona. I've always regretted that this area was not protected by making it a national park decades ago, before it became so heavily populated.

Beautiful area, It's definitely on my bucket list. Thanks for the beautiful drone video!
Great video. We're going there in about 10 days. We're like you, our 1st visit was late 80s. What a transformation. Thank you. Now we know where to boondock.
Amazing beautiful view, your boondocking videos are really educational, thanks for sharing. 💯💯💯
Hey Russ "SEDONA RED" will "LOOK" good on "THE BEAST"!!! Be Safe!!!
Missed the sunrise, betcha that would be a sight to see on those red rocks. Quite a beautiful area. Glad you flew the drone. Thanks Russ.
OMG. I can't believe all the changes since the last time I was up there. It's been a few years. Looks like it's time for a road trip. Sure can't beat 89A up to Flag.
I believe it is one of the most beautiful drives in the US.

By far my favorite place in America, I describe it as the cleanest desert in America , God Bless safe travels

It takes money to make it beautiful. Expensive to live there. No poor people..😉
I visited there a few weeks ago and I just loved it. Beautiful place.
I always go there in mid March, I think it's the best time of the year.
Great video. Thanks
This is the nicest video I have seen of Sedona. I enjoy all your videos thank you so much for sharing them. Charleston SC
Nice work, Russ
I've never been to that area of AZ but would certainly enjoy seeing the Sedona area. Thanks for the views and tips.
I enjoyed the drone footage. It's been a long time since I was there.
Wonderful video, Russ, thank you. Sedona is such a beautiful area and nice to visit. The "spiritual" aspect of Sedona, however, is related to dark origin, sadly. Everyone have a great day. Greetings from central Florida.
Why do you say dark origin?
Rich people make the "spiritual" aspect of Sedona not so spiritual.
Thanks for the great tours of places I have always wanted to visit but wasn't able 😕 I was out west in the early 70s but there is so much to see 2 weeks just was not enough.
YAY!
Ty, Sedona is an awesome place to visit

Beautiful drive, and area. Would be neat to ride an air balloon in that area, imagine the views. Heck yes, looks like a great spot to boondock. Enjoyed! 🙂👍

Sedona, in the late 90's, had on average, the most expensive real estate in the continental US of A. Can't imagine what the costs are these days.
Wow it looks really nice out there have you ever been to Yosemite it's beautiful there too really beautiful
Great video
Nice!!
It has been several years since I was in Sedona and Oak Creek. Nice to watch your video and see the changes and it still is just as beautiful as I remembered it being
I live in the Village of Oak Creek 😉

Hello Russ!
I ve went to that Town
And liked it a lot!

They are working on controlling boondocking along the 525 and Bill Grey Rd. Will restrict camping to 8 designated spots I believe
Is Sedona effected by the Mead lake drying up?
For all your Farmers out there diesel is going very fast now so people need to load up on their diesel because once it's gone it's gone they're having a diesel shortage and they just said that it's going fast so there isn't much time they didn't give us a Time when they're going to run out so God bless you all and stay close to God
Hi Russ. We're looking for an rv solar specialist near Kingman. Any suggestions? Thank you.
was that fr525 you pulled off on ?
Russ. What dashcam do you use? I love your channel.
go pro hero 10
We boondocked there in a large lot just off the road that led up to the cliff dwellers. WATCH OUT FOR GOAT HEADS. I ruined you to bicycle tires with them
I have been there so many times but it's always very beautiful...just kinda boring if you don't have a lot of money
You put this video on utube the other day. My husband and I watched . This is not a new video for Wednesday.
Thanks!
It's beautiful but doesn't have great camping. The boondocking spots are crowded and also where locals come to shoot whatever ridiculous guns they have right where everyone is camping. The last time i was there, someone was firing something that sounded like a cannon.
Those roundabouts are rediculous
