Thank you for your video. I have 4 bottle art pieces that need to be protected from dust and you helped me resolve it. I can now make my own display cases. ❤😊
Wow it looks fantastic!! I can definitely appreciate a good display case!! These are those moments when you test your skills!! I had no doubt that it would be flawless 👀😁 I definitely wouldn't pass up a job like this. It gave you a nice change. Nothing better than a little jingle in your pocket 🎉🎊💃 Happy Friday my friend! I hope you have a blessed day 🙏🌿🐟🌿💚
@@FishmanEricRussell 🤣💃 Did you see the poor tanks in the background sloshing!! You have to walk lightly in this camper and I just love to dance 🤣🤣💃♥️🙏🎉🎊
Awesome! I've been thinking about making acrylic boxes for my scale model kits for a long time. May I ask what glue did you use to glue the acrylic sheets? Thanks in advance.
Hello, I am in the process of making a 20"x20"x20" display box using acrylic / plexiglass and it's 1/16" thick what I'm trying to figure out is what type of adhesive and tube you are using to connect all your pieces. Thank you for your time your video helps a lot.
Hi. Nice job . I've been asked to make some display units out also. Two questions. What glue did you use and what was the blue block used to rub down the edges. Thanks
Can I order one? 20' tall x 10 x 10, and with a wooden base. how much would be? I like clean lines and easy to the eye like that one. My name is Oswald
Nice build wish you could list where got the material to make it set so fast and how long did It take for each side to set before you moved onto the next I want to make one for a 1/6 car model what size thickness do you recommend
a long time back now I worked for a bespoke lighting company they made some amazing things with acrylic unfortunately I didn't spend much time in that side of the shop so I don't know exactly how they did it they could make joints all most impossible to see what I do remember is they used a few different table router/grinders to shape the joining edges for straight joints they used a lap joint with 45s at the end and shoulder like a dove joint for corner joints at various angles they used mitred lap joints most of the time they spent a lot of time filing and polishing the edges before joining them and they had walk in ovens for different things I think the one for setting the joints had vacuum the guy's at that side of the shop segregated them selves from all the people with dirty jobs but we had to help them now and then on big jobs
Don't apologize Eric! Anything you do is inspiring!
So very kind of yo Kerry!
This made me want to make a display case myself
So glad you liked it!

Yours has been the simplest video thus far. Thank you. I have been considering hinges, suggests? And did the number of comments surprise you?
So glad you liked it! Yes. I didn't think there would be much interest

It's called methylene chloride
@@FishmanEricRussell Thank you so much.

I use methylene chloride
No fish???
(Storms out)
Just kidding, it was interesting. Have a good weekend.
Lol! Wouldn't blame you. Have a great weekend as well Aaron!
simple and fantastic. !
So glad you liked it. Thanks!
Hi. Nice job . I've been asked to make some display units out also. Two questions. What glue did you use and what was the blue block used to rub down the edges. Thanks
They are held together with methylene chloride. It chemically welds them together.
I had to rewatch the video for your second question. The blue block is a sanding block and it was just for the plywood base
Thanks .

Sorry. I tried that and it's not profitable
Nice build wish you could list where got the material to make it set so fast and how long did It take for each side to set before you moved onto the next I want to make one for a 1/6 car model what size thickness do you recommend
It sets in seconds. You could get away with i/8" but You should probably use 1/4" to avoid sagging in time
@@FishmanEricRussell do you have a link for that glue ? I can’t seem to find it thanks
@@CHB_98 I get mine locally sorry
This is amazing. Do you know how to remove the adhesive haze on acrylic glass?
Thanks so much! Yes, but it's tedious. Here's a link I did for aluminum, but I do cover the acrylic process as well

It looks great.. I was just thinking why was this not on your other channel.. then you commented about it at the end.. lol.
Hey Tim! I will post it there as well. I just don't have time to make four videos per week
@@FishmanEricRussell All good I was just wondering...
Very nice case. It is relatively large. What are they going to keep in it? Thanks Fred O
Thanks Fred! I think they want to display a Nativity scene in it
Would a dryer sheet help reduce the static on the the acrylic?
Sadly as soon as you rub it in any way the cling comes back. If I wasn't lazy I would get out my compressor and blow it off lol. Thanks for watching!
Very nice build...
So glad you like it Raymond!
nice, I am an extreme novice. what are you using in the needle to make the acrylic adhesive so quickly?
The needle contains methylene chloride. Thanks for watching!
@@FishmanEricRussell That stuff’s hard to find now
how is the name of the glue ??? and its normal acrylic glas yes ?
Methylene chloride and it welds acrylic
Sehr toll es funktioniert sehr sehr schnell
what are you using to glue it together?
Methylene chloride
Is this expensive to make?
Not when you have the equipment. The acrylic was about $50
What’s the size of this beauty?
It's bean a while, but it's about an 24" cube

Hey Colin! I've thought about getting a job in a fabrication shop to up my game. I just never seem to get to that point. Thanks for coming by!
link for the glue?
Soory, but I get mine locally
how much would be 25 ' tall x 10 x 10 ?
Sorry. I don't sell them
Is acrylic display box same as perspex display box I bought some masks helmets and want them on display without getting dust
They're both polycarbonates. They have some different properties but both would work as dust covers
👍
Thanks!
Do you make them to sell
Sorry no. Thanks for watching!
👍👍👌👌💞💞
Thanks so much!
🐸👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Happy Friday! Full watch and view!
