  • NASA and SpaceX are bringing the Internet to the Moon and then Mars. When that happens, EVERYTHING will change. Here’s how.

Great video! Very nice quality, and the metaphors were easy to understand. I was sure this channel had thousands and hundred or thousands or subs, not a hundred

Every time I hear about colonizing and mining Mars I think about all the money and brain power that could better be used to solve the myriad of problems that we have on THIS planet. Besides if the ISS can't produce enough oxygen to be self sustaining how will Mars?

It's definitely a double-edged sword. A lot of the desire to colonize and mine Mars seems to be private companies that want to earn literal TRILLIONS from those resources. But at the same time, we've made sooo many advances because of our space exploration. In technology, communication, energy, even medicine because we invented better x-rays and prosthetics. Might be too hopeful, but I feel like we can focus on Earth and Mars at the same time lol

Lost me at measuring distances in soccer fields.

I’m a fan of soccer so that’s how my brain visualizes distance 😂

Can't get around the laws of physics... Once internet reaches the moon, ping times will be atrocious due to the 2.5 second average signal round trip! Internet between the Earth and Mars would be absolutely impossible because of the 40+ MINUTE round trip signal delay.

Very good point. It’s crazy how no matter how much we advance, there’s always that pesky thing called physics there lol
