You have a beautiful family Josh! Thanks for taking us along and sharing them with all Of us ❤ The kids are so stinkin adorable, and your wife has an infectious laugh ❤❤
I live an hour and a half south of Helen. I love to visit during Christmas and during the hot summer months and tube float down the Chattahoochee River.
I live about 35 minutes from Helen and it holds a very special place in my heart....I met my husband at Paul's Steak House over 35 years ago. It's a beautiful little village to visit.
If you want to come back to Georgia, and we hope you do, you might want to consider Dahlonega, also north of ATL, or Savannah. A lot of people do not realize that Georgia has the mountains (lots of hiking) and the coast (Savannah, Jekyll Island, Brunswick, etc.). And of course, my home town of Athens, home of the Dawgs!
You went at a good time. I watched another TH-camr a few weeks ago who visited Helen, and it was way too crowded. My husband, son and I went there around 1984 in the summer. We also went to Dahlonega to the gold museum and to Tallulah Gorge where Deliverance was filmed. The gorge was awesome! Have a wonderful Christmas!
Helen Georgia is an interesting town. I've been there twice. I highly recommend going to St. Augustine, Florida during the holidays. The nation's oldest city really goes all out for the holidays! There's Christmas lights and decorations EVERYWHERE!! It's so beautiful!
I never heard of Helen, Georgia but it did not disappoint! Wow! The lights, the ambiance, the restaurants, the coaster but especially your adorable twins made it an absolute gem. I can’t wait to see where you guys go next year!
Twice in one day I've heard about these "boiled peanuts" after never ever hearing about them! lol So cute and special how the boy (I think, going from memory) thought the leaves were sparkly when it was just ice...very imaginative! Those kids are the sweetest & cutest kids! I also loved how fast they wanted to go...braver than me! lol
Awesome Video Josh! I knew you guys would eventually get to Helen! We live in Georgia and have been to Helen about 20 times. It's pretty touristy but there are a lot of hidden gems right off the main square. A great putt putt course, a huge model train museum, go kart riding, record stores, axe throwing, escape rooms, etc. There's a lot there that people don't know about. We're glad you finally stopped by!
Glad to see you’re traveling and videoing with the whole family now. We did Helen a couple years ago, but definitely found Leavenworth more magical. Solvang is still the best for the Holidays🎄
Your kids are absolutely ADORABLE!! I think I need to be a grandmother now but neither of my kids (31 & 33) have a child. In the meantime I'll enjoy everyone else's.
I’m a Southern person and I’ve never heard of Anna Ruby Falls!! Been to Helen a couple of times! First video of you and your sweet family I’ve ever seen!! I’m used to seeing your Dad with you!!
Hi. Dec. 24th I went there with my family and friends. It is a nice place to visit, but park was closed. We went to place has PAULANERS sign and order one cup beer and two mugs. The bartender charged me $48 and no receipt. Bartender charged me $15 tip without my permission !. Be careful !!. Bartender had attitude toward us because we are foreigners. Anyway we had bad a memory from this town. I wanted to share this experience.
If you ever want to head North for some Christmas cheer, Minnesota offers the Holidazzle parade in the Twin Cities metro, with light shows in Mankato, Stillwater, Red Wing, Winona, and "Bentleyville" in Duluth.
I love Helen Georgia, we stayed at the Heidi motel after it had been refurbished, it was absolutely beautiful, it was all done in farmhouse style 🫶🎄 great video And i love Betty's country store🤠
"It tastes like a seasoned pinto bean" - ah ha ha! I agree. We spent a lot of time in Georgia in the last 3 years, but just didn't make it to Anna Ruby Falls or Helen! Georgia has so much to see & do, but we travel with our big Lab, so... So fun to see your kids - my niece has 8 year old twins. McAdenville near Charlotte, NC has incredible lights!
Helen is a wonderful little town! I spent several nights in a windmill there a few years ago in September! I'd love to see it in all it's Christmas finery in person. Thank you for sharing!
Wow!! Awesome you checked out Helen, live an hour south. They don't stop celebrating, after Christmas decor is up till Fasching which I understand is a German celebrating holiday. There is also some great hiking trails nearby. So happy you made the Trip! CHARLESTON has an Amazing Christmas Drive. Thanks so much for Visiting, Happy Holidays!!
Helen is one of my most favorite places to visit. One day you need to visit Cleveland , GA. It’s not too far from Helen. It’s the home of Babyland General Hospital and the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids. It’s fun to see even if you’re an adult. Another recommendation is going to, The Dillard House. It’s a neat place to stay and go horseback riding in the mountains. The restaurant used to be good to eat at but it’s kinda went downhill. Next year you need to go to Old St. Charles, MO and see both Legends and Lanterns and Christmas Traditions. I highly recommend both. If you go you must get a Chocolate Chip cookie from Grandma’s Cookies. It’s life changing and you’ve never had a chocolate chip cookie like it before, trust me.
I hope to one day see you making videos with your children the way you make videos with your dad! Your children are adorable!! Edit I love boiled peanuts!!
We went to Helen for Oktoberfest and it was a wonderful time. I love all the little shops, and the German restaurants are delicious. I would love to visit at Christmas time, it looks so pretty downtown!
I really enjoyed watching your family have a wonderful time in Helen. It looks gorgeous similar to Solvang. I would love to see your family enjoy Dahlonega. It looks gorgeous by the pictures
Thank you, Josh and family! Me and my husband experienced Helen around Oktoberfest, we never have the opportunity to go for Christmas. We had a nice cabin by the river. Did they have horse and buggy carriage rides during that time? There were some areas that it looked like the land that time forgot.😂 there was also a meat jerky store that served any type of jerky imaginable.. thank you and merry Christmas
As a German it’s always so interesting to see these Germany inspired towns and their… let’s say interesting twists on the German cuisine 😆 Loved the video as always😍
My husband and I visited here one Christmas and didn't know that it was like this! When we drove in in the middle of the night we thought we were hallucinating or something!😂
went to helen years ago, but we just missed the Octoberfest, bummer. but I'd love to see it at Christmas time. we also ate at hofers, went to candy shop, etc. lovely little town, now looking for a small house or cabin to move there. MERRY CHRISTMAS
It’s not a traditional European Christmas, but Fredericksburg, TX does Christmas pretty well. Our family loves going every year, as it makes a great day trip from San Antonio.
The twins have shot up since last spring! I've never been to Helen, GA. I was always passing through too early or late in the day. I miss going to Hastings Ranch in Pasadena every year for Christmas lights. That was 30-40 years ago.
I've lived a short drive away from both Leavenworth WA & Helen, GA. Both are great places to visit but I like Leavenworth more. However, North Georgia is one of the nicest places to live and explore that I've ever lived and I've been all over.
My suggestion for next Christmas would be Frankenmuth Michigan. Whether you have been there before or not it would be nice to see it documented on your channel. Safe travels ✌🏻🙂
Christmas Tree Lane, Alameda California was a fun Christmas visit. I hear Solvang is good too but haven't been. Here in Ontario, Stratford, niagara-on-the-lake and Blue Mountain are pretty cool at Christmas
A Christmas place to recommend: Prescott AZ...go on Acker night 🌃 lots of lights in the downtown (Teddy Roosevelt liked coming here) lots of museums and craft shops and old western bar's. If you have a day to spare but it is a serious hike, check out the Hot Shots memorial in Yarnell. (Too hard for little ones though...). For "old" movie buffs, the movie Billy Jack was filmed entirely here.
Too bad you didn't make it to Jolly's toys-it's the best and so is Jolly. I used to work there in college when it was by the river. Your kids would have LOVED it, homemade toys and many unique toys.
I'm from South Carolina and my family all comes from Georgia but I've never made it to Helen. I live in Seattle, though, so we're regular visitors to Leavenworth. And I've never acquired a taste for boiled peanuts
We were there some years ago for Oktoberfest , enjoyed the German food and festivities, and enjoyed the Elvis impersonator at a theatre show there, not sure they are still doing that or if they still have that theatre venue there if so let me know ? We stayed overnight in dahlonega Georgia , wondering were through the lens family stayed, let me know we may want to do the Christmas event there next year there 👍👍
I got married in Helen, GA. It’s so beautiful and has a lot of charm. I grew up about 30 minutes from there so it was a good way to show my husband the area. Only word of caution is, whatever you do, PLEASE do NOT stay at the Radisson Country Inn & Suites there. It was a nightmare. The Holiday Inn Express was much nicer, though. They booked us a room on short notice and even upgraded us to a suite with adjoining rooms for the family visiting from out of town free of charge when they heard our horror stories 2 days before our wedding!
Very interesting, had to look it up on the map. What is the ranking here for the best Christmas towns? How many are there? haha I have only done Solvang / Leavenworth / Vail
This is SO much better than watching the news
Amen!!!! Uplifting!!!
My very favorite part of being a parent is watching my child enjoy the world through her own perspective. She’s also 4.
Love the sparkly shiny leaves! The best way to see the world is definitely through the eyes of children 😊
It's really so beautiful when there's frost... it's like the earth is covered in glitter!!
You have a beautiful family Josh! Thanks for taking us along and sharing them with all
Of us ❤ The kids are so stinkin adorable, and your wife has an infectious laugh ❤❤
God bless you for having your children pick up trash on the trail and God bless them for doing it. I believe those lessons will last for a lifetime.
I live an hour and a half south of Helen. I love to visit during Christmas and during the hot summer months and tube float down the Chattahoochee River.
Your children!!! They’re so so precious!!! What wonderful video!!! Made me so happy!!! I love them “ Cheer phone!”
“Cheers tree” Lovely family
"Dad go faster!" lol
Looks like lots of fun for the family. 😊
My gf says the same thing...😮

Jekyll Island is my favorite place to explore so many wonderful things there
Omg the twins are cuteness personified 😂❤

What adorable kids! Loved to see their faces beaming with joy. Beautiful beautiful video❤❤
German food is definitely appropriate for the colder months! I love the Christmas displays in these smaller towns.
Twice in one day I've heard about these "boiled peanuts" after never ever hearing about them! lol
So cute and special how the boy (I think, going from memory) thought the leaves were sparkly when it was just ice...very imaginative! Those kids are the sweetest & cutest kids! I also loved how fast they wanted to go...braver than me! lol
Merry Christmas, and thanks for taking us along. Love seeing your beautiful family having fun.

Love all your trips, and is more nice with your kids and family, thanks for sharing, great job 😊🥰
What a pretty town I never heard of this town before. Thank you for sharing ❤
Josh your children are precious! Thank you for sharing!
Our home county,we love Helen and go often.
We are planning a trip Dec 20-23rd. Will it still be busy with Christmas festivities, food, and people or was that just when vendors are there?
Best one yet! Love your family videos!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this adorable video. I loved your family. What a sweet bunch. Your kids were so well behaved and you two were very relaxed. Thank you
Frankenmuth Michigan is the best little Christmas town you should definitely check out next year!
So nice to see your family and your adventures. Helen looks really cool.
Glad to see you’re traveling and videoing with the whole family now. We did Helen a couple years ago, but definitely found Leavenworth more magical. Solvang is still the best for the Holidays🎄

Love Helen, GA. Been there twice but not at Christmas time. Can't wait to go back!
Absolutely Outstanding

Cute family! Great video! If you ever go back in the summer, they have a river that you ride a tube on.
Beautiful town 🤩 great Christmas lights 😊
My kids loved the blackberry cider from Fred's, we like fried peanuts but not boiled. Helen is a very fun town. Lots to do in the area.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Thank you for sharing!
The sweetest family trip ever!!!!!🌲🌲🌲I'm ashamed that I only live about 3 hours from Helen, and have never been!!
Thanks again for another great video you need to visit Frankenmuth Michigan merry Christmas!!!!
You're a great dad! Keep up the good work!

Been to Helen several times in the summer, beautiful & fun
Being a Californian, but spending a bit of time in No Georgia, I always thought of Helen as Solvang with a “twang!”
Helen is a wonderful little town! I spent several nights in a windmill there a few years ago in September! I'd love to see it in all it's Christmas finery in person. Thank you for sharing!
I have seen this on Tik Tok and so glad you did a video on it! This is amazing and we are definitely adding it to our list. Thanks Josh!!!!
It's Christmas time

That is such a great adventure for the kids
Have a great week guys

Great video!! Tip when eating the boiled peanuts….eat the shell and all…just pop it in your mouth.
Too funny, i grew up not far from Helen, I've spent many Christmas moments there's
I looooove Helen! I have been there a whole bunch of times. 8hr drive from our home in West Central Florida. Great fun, winter and summer.
Can't believe your in my back yard been going up there all my life Goergia has so much to see like Stone Mountain ,Calloway gardens,to much to list
Christmas Tree Lane, Alameda California was a fun Christmas visit. I hear Solvang is good too but haven't been. Here in Ontario, Stratford, niagara-on-the-lake and Blue Mountain are pretty cool at Christmas
You gotta go to Algonquin Park and Huntsville in the fall when the leaves are changing colour. It's in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
We're hoping to take in the Biltmore next Christmas in Asheville NC
A Christmas place to recommend: Prescott AZ...go on Acker night 🌃 lots of lights in the downtown (Teddy Roosevelt liked coming here) lots of museums and craft shops and old western bar's. You should go to Bethlehem PA. Their Christmas Market is very European inspired.
Next try the Golden Isles of Georgia specially Jekyll Island has a fantastic Christmas light display.
You and your family should come to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo.
Please go to Frankenmuth, MI for Christmas.
Frankenmuth, MI
Wish I knew you were here. I would have liked to meet you
You know just an hour down the road is an ACTUAL hallmark movie town. Dahlonega Ga was used to film a Christmas Hallmark movie a few years ago.
You should do a video about Rt 99 😊
Frankenmuth, Michigan
You should have gone to Cleveland GA about 10 minutes away to see cabbage patch babyland general.
Very interesting, had to look it up on the map. What is the ranking here for the best Christmas towns? How many are there? haha I have only done Solvang / Leavenworth / Vail
you should visit Frankenmuth MI/ Bronners christmas store
Would love to!
