Great video guys! So glad to see you making videos 😁 loved seeing your home, so spacious and welcoming! Would love to pop around yours for sundowners 😅🍻
Wow, that is a beautiful boat! Thank you for the great tour. Definitely subscribing so I can see more! Also, y'all are so cute!! Congrats on the new channel!
I love your boat, I envy your life style! I did find a blooper...you mr subtitle V-BIRTH...it should be V-BERTH. I know it's a small difference, but I got a good laugh!
Loved your video! Thank you! We are going to look at the exact same boat next week in South Carolina, we are from Long Island New York and are planning to do the loop and thought this would be a great match for myself, my boyfriend and our three small dogs! Love all the storage for the dogs, lol! My bf would be rolling his eyes!😂
Hi y’all, from NC. New subscriber. You are a lovely couple, and your channel (one episode in) is very well done...good content, good audio and excellent editing. Looking forward to following your journey!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate your encouragement. We are a couple of newbies, definitely a work in progress!😜 So far the journey has been fun and we’re so glad you’re joining us on it!
I bet it would plane if it only weighed 4,400 pounds. The whole thing would probably AIRplane, with only the props in the water. *lol* What a beautiful boat! I love the DeFevers, and that engine room and those tricked-out/chromed Lehmans!! I love the older, more classical-looking boats, but being claustrophobic one problem I have with almost all of them is the small port lights, and that DeFever is one of the very few older boat models that actually has large windows in the master stateroom. I'm still in research mode now, but I'm hoping to start actively looking for a boat in late Winter/early Spring 2022, and although it's not exactly what I'll be looking for, if that boat was for sale I'd at least consider it in a New York minute. If you weren't behind enemy lines in California I may have came out and made you an offer you -couldn't- wouldn't refuse. *lol*
I know this is an older video, but I love the DeFever 44. The 49 and 53 are nice too. But I think the 44 is the perfect size. Especially, if your kids are grown and out on their own. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I love your Boat. The DeFevers are not just a big boats. It's a Ship !! Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year ‼️🎅🎉🎊🎅
Thanks! We love it too. I just can’t get past the limited outdoor living space on the 49 and 53… For that you can’t beat the 44! Merry Christmas!🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
Hi guys hope your all well , just came across your channel, love the engine room episode, I live on a princess 470 in England just love the life and the people you meet, keep up the good work 👍
We have a 2000 CTF 44 DeFever. Interesting to see the many differences and similarities between the model years. Keep these coming. Makes me want to get off the computer and onto the boat! Make sure you plan on coming to th6e DeFever Rendezvous in September. Ubiquitous
Definitely! We usually notice that, even though there are differences, the similarities are rather amazing. Stay tuned for next week and our tour of the rest of the boat! And thanks for watching. :)
Thank you! 😀 There are literally only two houseboats in my marina… They’re very old and we’re grandfathered in. The marina doesn’t allow any more houseboats now.
Thx for the video. Note that it is V-Berth not V-Birth unless you have had an onboard delivery. Fellow boater in San Diego with a Hatteras 48 Long Range Cruiser.
My wife and I are shopping for a DeFever 44; I'm green with envy seeing your 44. What a beauty! I'm curious with the access to the ICW in Texas how you happened to end up in San Diego. Not that San Diego isn't a wonderful place but the ICW offers thousands of miles of places to visit.
Hi. I’m new to your Channel. I like that you have a trawler here in San Diego. I’m not a boat owner yet, but been kicking around the idea of buying a trawler to travel up the coast to the Puget Sound and San Juan islands area. I’ll be watching your adventures to learn what boat owning is like here in San Diego which is where I live.
Thanks for following us and our journey! Trawler life in San Diego is truly wonderful and we look forward to the day we can take much longer trips like the ones you mentioned!
I like that your port side door is back near the galley and your setae is forward. Do you know how many Defever 44’s had this type of layout? This layout type should be easily recognizable from the port side since the trunk cabin window pattern is very different from the common layout.
Awesome! We’ve been looking for a 44 but can’t find a nice one. And just missed one that was a knock out. We have an adopted Cairn. 3.5 yrs old but only 1.5 with us, along with a 15.5 Cavalier King Charles. She never has barked in her life. The boy Cairn like to chase and bark. How has your adapted to life in a marina. Barking? Any info would be helpful as when we find out boat, the has sells and off we go! Ok, we’re about to start part two. Gotta go 😃
@RobertKleiman Sorry we just now saw this months later! Since you commented here, we lost our Westie, Rowdie. Rosie, our Cairn, now barks about 75% less!
@@TheSeaYallLife So sorry to hear that news. Our hearts go out to you both. We dread the day our Cavalier, Darcy, passes. Ugh. But on a happier note, we found our ‘new-to-us 1985 Defever 44 OC! We’re even naming her after our Cav. ‘Lady Darcy’. We’ll be moved on by next week and are full time live aboards. We have a slip here at Sunset Bay Marina in Stuart, Fl. Exciting!
Congrats on your DF 44… That is so exciting! And I love that you named your boat after your dog.😂 Best of luck for a very smooth transition to full-time liveaboard life!
@@TheSeaYallLife Yes, our dog. Darcy is a very special special cavalier that for 13 1/2 years and over 1350 hours as a volunteer therapy dog. She is a certified, registered therapy dog here in South Florida and work mostly with children of all types young wheelchair hospital CF on the spectrum all kinds she just loved it we did a lot of stuff together so we could not name her or rather the boat after her. And since she just celebrated her. And such since she just celebrated her 16th birthday at the beginning of October, it just fell into place. We’re supposed to be having a name change sometime this week but you know how that goes probably won’t happen till next week. Anyway we watch your TH-cam channel we watch your videos all the time we really love you guys I think we’d probably be pretty good friends if we lived out your way. Thanks
Man that is nice. Adding it to my boat search. Lucky you found it
Thank you!!!
I absolutely LOVE your home!!! So happy for both of you!! Wishing you all the best from Oklahoma!
Thank you!!!
Great tour , that engine rooms looks immaculate. See you in the water.

Thanks so much for joining us our tour, John!
Great video guys! So glad to see you making videos 😁 loved seeing your home, so spacious and welcoming! Would love to pop around yours for sundowners 😅🍻
Thanks! A shared sundowner someday would be awesome!😎⚓️🥂
Love it, such a great tour! We can’t get over the space for a 44’ boat and amazing layout 👍
Wow, thanks! The space is definitely amazing, but your Nordhavn has some pretty envious features for us classic boat dwellers😜.
Such an awesome channel glad I came across it, those Defevers are my dream boat.
Thank you so much Brandon! We think DeFevers are pretty dreamy too😊
Fantastic!! Love the boat and the two of you😊
Thank you for the encouragement, James!

Great work on the premier video! I will Sea Ya'll on the next installment!
Thanks for checking out tour, Butch!
Great tour… love love your trawler
Thank you, Mike!

I discovered that blooper about a day after I published it and I’ve had to live with it ever since😳

Great video! Best neighbors! looking forward to episode II
Thanks Raffy! We love being neighbors! ❤️
Great Tour!!! I learned so much.

Gorgeous boat, excellent use of colors. The Ford Lehmann engines are amazing! I have engine envy lol!

We are so grateful for your encouraging words! 😀
Thank you. I really enjoyed your video. Your DeFever is in such great shape!
We were incredibly blessed to find a 44 in really good condition! Her previous owner took very very good care of her.

Thanks again! You both present very well.
Thank you so much! ⚓️
One of the most beatiful DeFever 44 that I have ever seen. Greetings from Sweden!
Wow, what a compliment... thank you so much!
Great tour! Well done. The Defever 44 was on our shortlist. Wonderful boat. Keep the vids coming!

Great boat ! Thanks for the tour.

What does your boat burn per hour of slow causing? 3 or 4 GPH?
2 GPH per engine
Nice boat

We like it too but don’t know how many were made this way😊
Lots of love and detail has been poured into this boat!!!
Yes indeed! Thank you, Kirk!
Beautiful Trawler! Aprox. How much will a boat similar cost?
Around 150k-200k, depending on year and condition
