@@Black66I replaced the ignition coil assembly and new spark plug on my ct100u since old boot broke off now my bike won’t idle right sounds like it’s idle too high then turns off in 5 seconds after turning it on the could gap was set at .018 idk ifs the correct gap I called Coleman they said they don’t know
I've noticed this before on my 225 when I had set it at .30 to .35 thou on the coil Gap, I opened it up to .75 thou & that's solved all my high RPM breaking up issues
The coil primary wire to the plug...I have done this on a Hammerhead go kart...From the coil take solid core wire uncoated...One end make a ground connection to the engine block...Then start coiling the solid core wire tight one layer to about one inch from the end of plug...Then wrap insulation tape or elec. tape to cover exposed wire...When I first did this the spark was much more intense than the normal spark...Brighter, defined, more horse power...This simple mod may make a difference...Try it and see if it works then do a video on it...
Getting the coil further away, causes less magnetig drag on the flywheel. .080" is probably max distance or close to it, before you lose too much spark energy. Pretty cool experiment! Thanks for running that test!
Another great instructional video bro. You should find you an old greyhound motor and compare it against the predator. I had a greyhound given to me and got it running and now it's on my doodlebug holding up strong
Didn't say which fuel or timing key. I believe that flywheel is timed for methanol with a straight key. If it's on gas the timing would be too high so more gap would retard the timing for more speed. ARC has factory specs for timing and coil gap that are pretty much right on. Also, I would get a pair of racing gloves and shoes that cover your ankle.
You ever had issues with the slipstream coil gap to close? Under .05 would it give no spark? I’m having issues with spark on my 200 hisun. Wondering if I burned my coil setting to close. I didn’t realize they needed that gap I had set mine at .035 I get spark occasionally but if I gap it that far no I get nothing. Assuming coil is bad now?

Maybe you can help me i have a tillotson 212 and when i first start it it takes a few cranks when i start running it say around the block then come back turn it off. Then wait a minute or so and try and turn it back on it will not start even when i have choke on. Could it be timing if any or gap between ignition coil. But when i finally get it running again it will sometimes bog out when i give it gas. Hopefully you can help. Love your videos too.
Seemed it struggled a bit from 57-60 when it was set to 30 thousands but looked a little stronger from 0-20. Cool video 👍🏽 Quick question. I have a 79cc predator that couldn’t run WOT without choke. Tried 2 new stock carburetors and a pz19 carburetor and even jetted the 19mm but still had the same problem. Any idea what is causing that? It just bogs and dies when given full throttle without choke
Things I'd pay attention to first: good fuel, good carb gasket seal, clean air filter, correct spark plug gap, good contact with spark plug boot, fuel lines of appropriate size, enough height difference that fuel makes it to the engine, proper flywheel/coil gap. If none of that works, you might have gotten a lemon or it's worn out enough that it doesn't have good compression. I'm not a mechanic though, so maybe you'll get some better ideas from others
That's all the surface-level stuff I can think of. I'm assuming the engine hasn't suffered any catastrophic damage from running without oil or something. I hate to waste a salvageable engine, but those 79's are cheap enough that it might save you some grief to just get a new one.
I just watched a video saying the new ghost engines are rpm limited by the coil. The video said it's printed on the coil itself. I have a preditor 212 hemi. I am not sure it's true or just a ghost thing. Do you have any coil recommendations or do you run a stock coil. I was just going to upgrade my plug wire not the whole coil. 7mm 0 ohm wire solid copper core and lower profile boot. Does it matter in your opinion. If wider gap .080 made a difference this might . Thanks!

How do I remove the old valve guides on my Flathead Briggs & Stratton and put in the new valve guides I got a 10 over alcohol breathing flat head at the valve guides are toast and is there a way for me to regrind the seats without having the tool using sandpaper?
Not really man. You need a good solid fitting pilot and a trued grinding wheel on an arbor or a carbide cutter. Good news is, you can buy a small engine cutter set for only 60 bucks nowadays. They have the pilots, and 45 degree seat cutter. Plus they come with 30 and 60 degree cutters for narrowing/moving the actual sealing area on the seat. Make your money back by doing 3 angle valve jobs for your buddies. :)
@@Black66 Good way of thinking 😁 I have an idea for you... Yes Master, now I have to go to garage and play with coil gap, until I get top results😅.
To me it seemed like the closer the gap the more acceleration you had.
I’m going to try this on my 236cc Tillotson road course kart. Any top speed gain will be a great advantage.
Great video, was wondering, have you done any videos on timing yet?

Dumb question, but it's .060 inch right? Like on my feeler gauges I'd be the inches part I'm looking at right?
Ya it say 0.60

Not sure if you're carburetor has a air/fuel adjustment screw but I'd check there and see if that helps
Also depending on what elevation you live in you may not have the correct jet for your air density, unlikely tho
So for a billet internal build 60 is ok? My all billet but nothing crazy it’s just a stronger cruiser
hey! where can i find that fuel tank? i can’t find a nice one that mounts to the stock tank mounts
I actually made this tank out of a car overflow tank. I will have to do a video on it. Thanks for watching!
Should’ve tested the 0-30, so we get “quick” answers

What gear ratio are you using on this bike to make it go that speed?
What is the GPS app you are using for your testing?

I would say a 265 cam with 22lb springs is a good choice for around $60
How do you know if your predator is a hemi or not? I bought a fly wheel and now i fear it won't fit the shaft
One easy way to tell is the hemi has a cast aluminum squarish valve cover and the non-hemi has an octagonal stamped steel valve cover like a stop sign

About .060 with the ARC billet ...on a basic build 😀👍

Definantly sounded weaker with smaller coil gap and sounded rough at idle
