I keep being told that you have to masters in ABA to become a BCBA. Is this true today? I’m not sure if they have changed the rules. I’m currently in school for Early Childhood Education. I would like to Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Would this qualify me as a BCBA.
Great question. There are some master program that would qualify for the BCBA certification program. For example a masters in psychology or special education. But I would call a recruiter or admin department at an ABA program to see if Child and Adolescent psych meets the requirements.
I think it would, but you want to know for sure for sure if a BCBA is the end goal.
