I have the same problem with my k3 optical low profile. I intend to open it and discard the battery. Thanks for the video.
Is the battery only neederd for wireless? I was thinking of removing the battery from my K6 and so I can foam mod that part of it and get a more consistent sound.
Yes. Battery is only needed for wireless. After removing its swollen battery, I'm using it with its USB-C cable. And, it is working just fine.
