Hi, My immigration office has told me I don't need to do TM30 when I return to Thailand but just do my 90 day report 90 days after I return. Probably best to check with your Immigration office as they all have different rules.

On a multiple enter marriage visa, does anyone know how long you can stay out of the country? I know one year and it'll expire. How about 5 months? I want to work in my country for 5 months then come back and still have valid marriage visa.

According to lawyers Tilleke and Gibbins "Under the notification (2020), there will still be a duty for landlords or hotel owners to submit a T.M.30 form to an immigration office within 24 hours of a foreign national staying at their premises. However, they are no longer required to resubmit a T.M.30 form every time a foreign national returns to stay at the same place, which was an onerous requirement under the previous version of notification, issued in 1979."

What you get at an Immigration Office is not a visa it is an extension of stay or a right to stay. Visas are only issued at Consulates or Embassies and are a travel document that allows you to enter the country under certain conditions and for a limited amount of time. What this guy did was change his status from having an extension of stay based on retirement to one based on being married to a Thai. He could have left the country and applied for a new visa based on marriage to a Thai but I guess it was easier to change his status at the Immigration Office.

HI, just found your informative channel and subscribed. Very helpful advice on this confusing subject. I myself am heading to Thailand in may to looks at the local rural rental options as I plan to move there permanently at the end of the year from Australia. I was told you can apply for this Non Immigrant O retirement visa in Australia before I leave permanently ? Is this right? And that the multi exit stamp is applied for over there ( Valid how long? ) All I then do is the 90 day reporting during my new life.... Cheers mate

I understand you can apply for the Visa in Australia. Not sure how long it takes. The Re-Entry Permit is valid for the term of your Visa or at least mine is. I do my 90 Day reporting by mail but some do it online or in person. Good luck with everything.

The TM30 doesn't have an expiration date and immigration only knows a change of address when someone submits a new TM30 with your passport number. If you leave Thailand and return to the same address as the TM30 in your passport the address in the immigration system and the TM30 in your passport are still in synch. I don't believe for a moment that your visa doesn't require a TM30, it does. I do believe the immigration agent looked at the TM30 in your passport and saw that the address was the same as in the immigration system and that you don't need to do anything because they are in synch. I think the assumption that the act of leaving and re-entering the country somehow cleansed your TM30 records is incorrect. Unless you stay somewhere else in Thailand and a landlord or hotel submits a new TM30 for a new address the original address will remain on file. I could be wrong but I think this is a far more plausible explanation than your current understanding.

Will be returning to Thailand in Late January and will apply to immigration for an O visa based on retirement. Already have the financials in place that was for my expired visa so all ok there. I half expected to see you suddenly emerge onto that drag strip on your motorcycle. 🙂 And in this video, you were turned away from the Petrified Wood Forest Park just like I was. I guess you got lucky on your second visit, and there was nobody there to stop you from just riding in.

I didn't read the sign and no guard there. The lady at the kiosk didn't say anything. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be open.

Many of my Thai friends works at Thai Airways got Sinovac about 3-4 months ago and good to see that Pfizer is available in Thailand now. Good to have one anyway. Thanks for the update

When I was there most of the others were hospital workers and emergency staff. They were getting Pfizer. A lot of the locals around my village aren't that happy that foreigners are getting Pfizer and they can only get Sinovac. Most are waiting for Pfizer or Moderna.

I got my second dose of Pfizer yesterday. To my surprise, I had a fairly strong response to this one. I barely noticed the first shot three weeks ago. But after this second shot, I experienced a night of full body chills and fever and extreme fatigue. My arms and legs felt like they weighed a thousand pounds each. 🙂 It was no big deal though. And I was kind of glad my immune system was having such a strong reaction to the vaccine. It seems to me that means it was working.

I'm sorry to hear you had that reaction. Like you said though it probably means you are now well prepared if anything happens. I only had a slight sore arm at the injection site. Seems every vaccine or injection I have the same result.

It looks like those that have got Pfizer will need a booster in 6 months.

That’s looks like a lot of water! Does it flood like that regularly during rainy season?

I've been living here for 3 years and that's the most water I've seen. I think this wet season is the worst for a number of years.
