Got my wife her spouse non-o visa in the US and it was super easy and fast. Her multi entry was approved in 14 days.

Thanks for sharing your experience, just wondering if come in on Visa Exempt, 30 day and get a 30 day extension, how to open a bank account and have the required 400,000 BAHT for marriage visa or 800,000 retirement visa in your account for 60 days. Some people say that the 60 day time requirement does not apply to the first application...any information on this would be appreciated 🙏. I hope that you have you own visa situation sorted, God Bless from Ireland 🍀🍀.

If you come to Thailand before March 31, 2023 I believe you will get 45 days and can extend for 30 days giving you 75 days. Try Bangkok Bank as I know people have opened an account (in Pattaya) on a tourist Visa. You may have to pay an insurance component.

Hi Bret, I am a 78 year old australian, is it possible for me to retire in Thailand with my Thai wife of thirty years, do I need health insurance on an O visa if I apply in Thailand, I know about the $800-000 in a Thai bank or $400-000 if I have a Thai wife and go for a marriage visa. Kind regards Bill.

You can enter Thailand on a Tourist visa and then extend. Open a bank account to put your money. After 2 months you can apply for O Visa. It may be better if you use an Agent to help you.

Application is 2000 baht, Extension is 1,900 baht. There are incidentials like Bank statements etc with most costing about 100 baht each.
