AIRFORCE CONDOR REVIEW: 2023 STILL WORTH IT ?
Great video. You’re very clear in your explanations, your pace is excellent and you don’t waste any time. You also seem to pick really excellent subjects. Thanks.
Much Thanks My Friend ! 😀
So I Subscribed to your channel because on other videos you have stated there is no videos out there really on this gun which is true,I was really ready to pull the trigger on the FX m4. I am new to the airgun world, completely a newby. so when I seen some videos obviously from airguns of Arizona and when they showed this Delta wolf I was really intrigued by the computer portion of it. Which basically sold me and I purchased the gun and it will be shipped to me in the beginning of this week. After seeing your videos it’s actually kind of scaring the crap out of me on this purchase 😂. after owning the gun, do you like it? Is it worthy?
Yes, very much so. Its probably the easiest to get to shoot well if you wan to swap barrels and get your speeds to what you want. Enjoy its a great rifle.
@ Thank you for getting back to me. Appreciate it.
Mount it on the scope too.
AMEN ! 🤭
THanks for the video. I am about two weeks into over 30 configurations into my 25 condor. from 252, 251s 250s all being sized to 249 and 248. all sorts of types, even big box swaged slugs. I have yet, in dozens of PCPs ever had such a time finding a combo. It seems like as mentioned, the most usable , in a stock out of box condor, is 2.3kpis to 1.5kpsi. It is something else, the power wheel. on my texans,tx2, the power wheel just works, over radar instantly upon a change. now with the Condor, it seems to take a little time, 10 to 29 shots to settle in.... your video gives me hope, but my patience is sure wearing thin, so is the tendonitis from all the sizing down slugs!
I feel your pain. I kind of am living with so so accuracy. Its hard to explain. I think my proiblem is that I expect FX/Daystate performance which I do not think it is possible. I heard guys say it is but out of every Condor/Texan you can get in the ball park. For me the platform is tough to get super accurate. IT can get accurate enough out of the box but I thought with fine tunning id get super accurate. It acceptable and you can beat the crap out of them and not have 2K in it.
Very cool. I love the Vulcan's looks and from what I've read, its a winner. Waiting on my order from Talon Tunes for a Vulcan 3 .30 chassis
Much thanks !
I thought the SS was a sound moderator? Is it not back yard safe?
yes it is, hmm depends on power... not totally silent
It’s all just a continuum. As you go bigger the pellets get more expensive, use more air, have more noise and power potential and even at the same power levels, bigger pellets hit harder. Certain calibers are better for certain activities, but none of them is superior in general. It’s like debating the best tire size or the best magnification for a scope. If you’re all about close range target shooting, then .177 is the obvious choice. If you’re into pest control and hunting then you’ll want to.22 or larger. I’d personally want a velocity of at least 600 fps in any caliber however unless it’s a pistol. Less than 600 fps and your trajectory is too much of a rainbow. For long range target shooting you’re going to want larger, heavier projectiles that won’t be as affected by the wind and a velocity up around 900 fps or higher.
Yep totally agree. thanks for watching.
Hi ! Mate , look like your NV 400 reticle cross hair site drop down below your center point of aim .
Hmmmm….. 👃
Happy new year 🥳🎉. If you can share some of your expiriences i have a question. If you aim for the lower end of the power for hunting, What would you favor in windy conditions a 177 10gr slug at 900fps vs a 15.89 hades at 800fps? 50yds? 75yds?
Yes, no problem. So i would take a .177 slug over a light weight .22 pellet. The .177 jsb slugs are great and can be a little faster. To me the slugs out perform the pellet by a wide margin. I have a video slugs vs pellets in .177 huge difference.
@ShootingTargets727 👍
This is misleading because you are mixing velocity and power as well as muzzle velocity with time to target. Given the same muzzle energy (in ft/lbs) the .22 is much more efferent than .177. For example, at 12 ft/lbs, which is the licence free limit here in the UK, you'll get roughly 20% more shots from the same airgun in .22 than you do in .177. Sure, the muzzle velocity of the .177 is higher, but that's not the whole story when it comes to bullet drop or energy at the target. ALL bullets/pellets drop at the same speed (9.8m/s squared - Newtons law), so it's not muzzle velocity that determines the drop - it's the average time taken to get to the target, so you need to account for the greater retained speed of the heavier pellet the target and use the average time it takes to get there. Granted, typically the .177 will still drop less, but the .22 will retain more energy, which is very important for pest control. Ballistic efficiency of the pellet also makes a big difference with slugs retaining a much higher velocity at the target (and therefore average speed) than the shuttlecock shaped pellets do.
Yea, it gets confusing, i was going back and forth. The big picture is if you match speed you increase power and air usage in a .22. If you match FPE you reduce speed with the heavier pellets. I could of done that better. Thanks for watching and commenting.
25? 😊
Yea, you want to add in your 2 cents ? Thoughts ?
Nice to see you again Jay, I missed your videos. Hell no, what 2 cents? If I knew I wouldn’t own 4 .177s 3 .22s a few .25s and a .30. Talk about being confused lol.
@@226eagleeye ohhh i know...
An "upgrade" can also be from .22 to .177 It's all about the kind of rifle and what you want to do with it. A caliber change would be better said. Downgrade to a .177 😆 A lot of guys do prefer a .177 for hunting others a.22 or .25 and they have all their good reasons.
Good points, yea in the old days we were always thinking bigger is better. Not such the case !
@@ShootingTargets727 Just an example.....22lr and .17hmr.
@@rapalaron6348 ohhh interesting. thanks for the idea.
No way there he is!!!! Good to see you buddy!
lol, thanks for writing and watching....
Good to see you back. Happy new year. I really like .177 slugs. air usage is higher but ballistic performance is better than even larger caliber pellets. As far as air usage you really see it in bigbores. Big difference in .308 & .457. The .308 will provide 5 shots with 120 grn slug that will print under 3” at 100 yards. The .457 (same brand) will give 3 shots at 3” at 100 yards. Supporting bigbores requires air at another level Vs fueling a .177 or .22. Even 25 cal for that matter.
ohh yess, its it not even close my man. The bigger bores suck up the air.... Thanks for watching !
Your right buddy but I don't even mess with 22 caliber all my airguns are 25 and 30 caliber. I look at it like why even waste your time with 22 when there's 25 and 30 and I know there's 9mm and higher but that's when you start getting into paying alot more money for them and getting less of them.
Yea, I think I might do another 1 .22 vs .25 pros /cons. You got anything to add. I think i know why you went .25 but if you could give me a list. Ill take it under consideration. The argument could be made like you said, .177 to .25 or .30
😊
😀
Have you tried the 68 grain griffin slugs
sorry i have not !
@ShootingTargets727 they shot really well in my condor
@@justinlenard6705 ill have to check it out.
How has the built in hand pump held up?..... also, if the hand pump failed as people have said....can I still fill it up by compressor and will it still hold the air????
I cant say on the build of the pump. I can say there is an adapter to fill it up with a fill probe for sure. IT has held air.
Greetings from Buenos Aires. Actually, in a couple of days I´ll be buying the .177 version of that SENECA ASPEN (Nova Frredom) rifle. As you say, I use springers and single shot multi pump rifles / pistols for paper taret shooting; hence I don´t want to spend "fortunes" in a traditional PCP. Guess it´ll work fine since I won´t stress it. Regards.
You bet thanks again for watching !
Nice information indeed. Well, digital scopes are fine for certain applications, not a "do it all". They are digital, and they can fail in certain circunstances. Until now, the military don´t use it and they have their reasons for it. I found the best solution for me. A good day scope with a decente glass + a night vision rear Clip-On from Pard with a LRF. Get your ballistic data for your ammunition, and stick turret tags on your scope turret for estimated distances and fast aquisition of targets. With this set, you can have a night vision for hunting and a reliable day scope for any task you want without spend $$$$ of money. Just my 2 cents.
No doubt, actually trying a version of that now. Thanks for the information and watching !

Try The Apollo 33 Gr Slugs are Awesome 25 cal Talon ss
Will give it a try.
My M3 keeps switching between 0 and + 1 mil. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with are temperature and humidity and barometric pressure and all that. It's always off by exactly 1 mil elevation at 25yds
hmm stange yea i mean i have heard that the barrles and supporting barrel supports can heat up and move impatct. Some percision shooters noticed this as well. They noticed if the gun heats up on 1 side in the sun an it is cold it willl throw off the impact fyi
I just purchased the Condor SS in 25 cal. Looking forward to getting her dialed in. Excellent platform for the price point. A true tack driver !
The ballistic calculator on this is amazing. I just bought one and I like it.
nice to hear... Thanks for sharing !
Thank you for the video I think I made the right choice. I recently ordered the Hatsan Sortie tact .25 version, I have a portable compressor I bought for my Airjavelin pro that fills to 4500 psi, but for the sortie I will be hiking and wanted something easy to carry with me so I just ordered DOT 98ci/1.6L 4500psi carbon fiber paintball tank with a dual gauge valve. Thank you for the video, I have lots to learn, but it'll be fun learning
Nice thanks for sharing !
This is my take in a nutshell after being very disappointed by digital. If you are going to be doing a lot of night shooting/hunting by all means go digital with an ir light. They look pretty darn good at night and are very affordable. If you are buying digital to primarily use during the day take that money and invest in really good glass. It will look 1000000x better than digital. Most of these decked out digital scopes are 6-700 bucks. You can get damn good glass in a regular scope for that. It will blow digital out of the water in clarity. If you mainly just shoot targets especially paper avoid digital at all costs. As you zoom them in to get precision groups the clarity gets shittier and shittier. For daytime use they just don’t hold a candle even to moderately priced glass.
Agree totally. I mean its a thing where if you do a majority of shooting at night or want to record you shots for later without hassle of strapping something into an optical scope. But Fine good glass is so hard to beat during the day. Thanks for sharing that.
What would be super helpful is when using the auto mode if the computer would tell you the voltage and dwell it was using once it settled into that speed. That would give the user a great base to start from a make small tweaks to find the ultimate tune. This concept is so elementary yet slid right past the designers. Almost like they don’t really want you tuning it.
I Know, i voiced those opinions as well ! It is kind of flying blind sometimes....
Confused! I've been saying this for quite a while now which is that understanding calibers, slugs vs pellets, grain weights soft lead slugs hard lead slugs Etc in terms of understanding accuracy and penetration energy / fpe is difficult to understand. About a year ago I had the understanding that shooting a 25 caliber pellet compared to a 30 caliber pellet, the 30 caliber would have more penetration energy/FPE when shooting in an object. Then I saw a test shot with a 25 caliber pellet and a 30 caliber pellet through Pinewood and ballistics gel and the 25 caliber actually did more damage and penetrated deeper than the 30 cal which surprised me. This was shot at anout 20 yards but again this test result could have been different at 50 or 100 yards. It seemed to me that it was conclusive that when you're shooting slugs you're always going to get more energy and penetration as compared to a pellet but your test results don't show that unless possibly the slugs were of a softer lead in your test compared to the pellets. That's another thing to consider when doing penetration tests. I think that if you're shooting a 25 cal slug and a 25 cal pellet of equal grain/weight with the same gun and the lead used in the pellet and slug is equal in terms of hardness, the slug is still going to penetrate more than the pellet. What's your opinion? Sincerely Confused
Yea so many variables. I will say many times when we try to get an answer we must take into consideration all the variables. Soft Lead, hard lead, BC of the object vs weight. Diameter of the object and the subject it is penetrating into. I wish I could give you an answer but there are so many factors that it really does depend. So one example is Pellets VS SLugs on say a sparrow. My believe is that the pellet expansion puts more energy on the little bird than a hard nosed slug. Both the projectiles go through the little sparrow but the pellet being soft can spread out more and mushroom impacting more energy on the bird vs a solid slug and no expansion. So things get really weird. Then we have BC where the pellet slows down alot more on the way to the bird so it does not have as much power when it impacts the bird. So wow hard to say all things have to be considerd on a case by case bases. Hope this helps.
@@ShootingTargets727 Yes. Thanks for getting back to me.
The best metric of lethality was established by the U.S. Army before WWII. If you can meet those metrics you have a reasonable expectation of lethality…
Hey can you share any of that info in a link ?
@ It has been in my head for 35 years. You could probably get pieces of it from various army field Manuel’s. Try Improvised Munition Manuel, Sapper Manuals, Old WWII Manuals, the FBI website may have it. Sorry, it is a lot of info destined to be lost forever because I have never seen it online.
Sock I bought a marlin sixty barrel on ebay and machined it down to fit inside my talent p, and i'm getting great results
Nice looking forward to the results.
first know the speed likes the ammo and barrel, when you know that must look the stabilization considerating the hammer tention and valve pressure, you have to know how match presure need to get the speed with the less hammer spring tension. that way you minimize the spread. if you have the rigth speed for you ammo and barrel with minimun spread and you have balance the ammo and clean it you can have smallest group posible. one over other in seventy meters with slugs.
ahh thanks for sharing.
Please come back 😢
ahh i got a small video should be out shortly. Good to hear from you my man !
How many different sizes are there in the threaded necks of the tanks? I bought a nice one, but the threaded insert was around 1.5 mm too large for the tanks. The old regulator has multiple leaks. It measures 0.618 inches, so I think it takes a 5/8 regulator. I have my own SCUBA compressor, so refills are easy for me. I do use SCUBA tanks for lower pressure.
Sorry cant answer that one, but I feel your pain. There are so many little connectors and hookup pieces ahh frustrating and expensive. to get the right connections some times.
I worked for one of the biggest specialty compressed gas suppliers for a few years, coming to that from a related trade speciality. While they did have some of the carbon fiber wrapped cylinders for some applications (ie portable medical oxygen bottles) they phased them out because of the short service life. I think I'd avoid them if possible, but I note that some gun manufacturers may be using them because of the weight considerations. If I had a choice of two rifles and one had a carbon fiber cylinder and the other was an alloy cylinder, I'd take the one with the metal cylinder every time. I also note that the maximum supplied pressures for many industrial bottles is 200 bar. HPA (high pressure air) is often sold at 250 bar. There's a damn good reason most manufacturers recommend 200 bar charges and not higher, but if you're running a bottle system it requires charging those to higher pressures to charge your PCP rifle. It's a case of the more you know, the more terrifying it becomes. Here's a heads-up from someone who has worked in this industry. All certified cylinders are marked with some very specific information: Capacity (liters), weight (empty, minus valve), date of manufacture/first test, manufacturer and serial number, test pressure rating (ie max safe pressure which is about 50% higher than the recommended working pressure) and container material (DOT 3A for steel, 3AL for alloy) Regarding the 3A numbers, it's more complicated than this but not worth going into here. 3AA is steel with higher tensile strength, I've seen up to 3AAX eg " DOT3AAX2560". Your guide needs to be the stated working and test pressures, not the material as such which is more of an engineering concern. The most likely failures are the cylinder falling over and snapping the neck off the regulator (instant bottle rocket) or the whip splitting or having a fitting come off. I'm not sure if the name "whip" isn't some kind of attempt at dark humour. Catastrophic failures are very rare, but have the potential to be life changing.
Thank you for your information. I really mean that. I know what you mean by the more you research the scary it goes. I been accused on this video of being overly dramatic. Well, again, it could change or end your life if you are somebody messes up. Some of the cheaper airguns that have 5000 psi in the guns and you put your face next to the tank really make me scared hey, you know but to each their own.
great food for thought ... will have to try it out ... i need to find a method that does not use so many slugs
No doubt so much time involved right ?
Diving bottle cheap and effective...pcp equipment over priced....!!! There is cheaper ways....!!!!
Yea, sadly if you can get buy on lower PSI that is the way to go as the pcp tanks are expensive.
With slugs you have to swab the barrel after every different slug. They lead the barrel 10x faster than pellets. I figured out slugs the same way. Started with 12 in .25. There were 2 clear winners. Using a dreamline tac, with dual plenums, Huma tuning reg, Huma 11.5gr tungsten hammer and 12.5% increased tension hammer spring, dual hole hi flow huma TP, running 119bar 66% micro, 15 on the 23 position cam wheel or 'power wheel', Max TP, and superior 1:16 slug barrel. 600mm/.250 Clear winners at 840 all the way to 950 were H&N .250 30gr HP slugs, and Zan 30gr new style cup base slugs, the original ZAN flat dish base worked very well too .. but 1moa vs .6moa. The H&N were doing single hole. And I do mean single hole not jagged hole at 30y. 1 ragged hole at 60. H&N 30gr at 880fps . 51fpe. Has 35fpe at 150 yards. Just because I can go another 70-80fps doesn't mean I should. At 862-885 my results were freaking insanely good. That's what I'm running with. My point. Was to acknowledge this man is absolute right, the less precision tuned the real barrel/harmonics matched projectile will shine.. anything thats not doing less than 1moa at 25-35. Toss em. Rule of thumb. Take your 25y group and multiply by 4.. if you're okay with those expected results at 100y. Keep it. But, adding. METICULOUSLY CLEAN YOUR BARREL AFTER EVERY PROJECTILE . Shoot 3 or 5 into the ether after clean to season the barrel and continue.
Great comparison, as far as noise level goes (spring pinging noise and muzzle bark), is the .30 significantly louder than the .22? How does the noise compared to something something like the FX Impact MK2/MK3?
THe fx is much more reserved in the ping and humming. There is a anti-pinger that you can install. The gun is built heavier. Id say its close to the FX impact but you will notice it is louder to shoot next to year ear for sure.
Such a good video! Thank you so much. Im just ordering all this stuff and there is a lot more to it than i ever would have anticipated. You have made me aware to some of the dangers and i really appreciate it. Subscribed!
You bet take care !
Very helpful video, thank you brother!
No thanks for watching !
this is why i use crossman red flight it penetrate way harder than any lead and since it has no skirt on the back it doesnt slow down even at 100 yards
I will look into the crossman
@@ShootingTargets727 it doesnt deform or expand like lead pelet and i noticed at 30 joules muzzle energy it made clean hole through metal spoon where heavier normal pellet at 40 joules energy still couldnt made hole through spoon since they just deform so much too much surface area so im assuming thats why it cant penetrate
Can You switch precharged PCP tanks in the field??
Yes in a pinch. You have to be careful because sometimes it blows out the washer/rubber gasket. These sadly are not made to be taken off too many times.

yea that is only natural... I mean it is like 4500 psi and more. I just am paranoid always be safe my man.
Definitely prefer AGT, they make the best high-end guns in my opinion: 1) Robust 2) Precise 3) Practical (No bare metal around the action, no angled gauges ready to crack, etc...) 4) They look great especially the Uragan, not too thick, not too thin, more like slim-thick 5) Surprisingly low priced for what they give you.
no doubt !
