V3 barrel loves slugs well , but based on your saying that the barrel is dirty , I can conclude this is a problem for slugs as they need a clean barrel first .Thanks for your effort
I've heard the current A.R.T barrels like whats on the alpha/delta wolfs dont like the slugs like the LW barrels of the Red Wolf do. Thats quite likely part of it. Though others have commented that through alot of testing they have found some to work in them.
i reload ammo ,the cause off leading is pressure and speed (and incorrect fitting projectiles) the remedy is lube ,powdercoat and the correct size (gaschecks).
Is the vulcan 700 mm or 500? I have the 700mm in 30 cal and it has a weird size barrel. It needs a .306 slug so most 30 slugs don’t do well at long range. No idea if the 22 is like that though.
This is the 700mm barrel. Have you tried the 60 grain javelin slugs in your vulcan 3 ? Mine run nice at 55 meters going to stretch that out as well later.
Hello !! What JSB means for pellets, H&N means for slugs!! Try H&N slugs 1st on every .22 Cal !!Great job ,keep it up and thank you for your honesty !! Cheers from Greece !!!
Absolutely love your channel because you are honest! I apologize for this nit: I’d be willing to throw a couple bucks to see you drop the paper plates and use grid targets. Your knowledge and delivery are superb…it would just be easier for viewers to follow along with a grid vs a bunch of white blobs. Again, totally love your content…I’m just being selfish so I can see what you’re talking about!
Hey thanks again, Yea I am always looking at trying to improve the content. So you make a fair point I never really considered. I will pick some of those grid targets. Maybe for the longer distances use those plates. I is hard to see those grids at longer distances and the hit mark. You know sometimes you hit and it hits a dark line and your are is that where it hit versus a plain white plate where it jumps out. Curious are you curious about the group size or what comes to mine with the grids on that ? Thanks again,
@@ShootingTargets727 The group size. I’ve watch most of your videos, and though I have the largest iPhone, it’s still hard to see the pellet holes. It’s also hard seeing on a 55” TV. Again, your content is incredible, and I truly wish to follow along as you talk about rifle, slug, and pellet performance. Your channel is unique in that it presents useful data, and not just another FX influence feigning giddiness over killing a bird or hitting a balloon.
I noticed the accuracy kept getting worse and worse from the first few groups. When you see your accuracy go down from where it use to shoot really well you might want to check the barrel and clean it. Hope this helps and thanks for the sub.
@@ShootingTargets727 Yes, but WHY do you believe the barrel should be cleaned? What is it that would cause the inconsistency? From a technical point of view...
@@redgum1340 ahh so when the barrel gets fouled up the rifling fills up with lead. Thus spin with the slug, possible nicks in pellets or slugs, slowing down speed and harder to push the slug through the barrel all contribute to inconsistent behavior. Hope this helps. Might be a topic for a video.
Maybe try zoom 33g ZAN @1000fps I get sub moa at 150yards with mine. I know for sure you can’t push those Fx hybrids past 950 they can’t handle it unless you have the right barrel possibly? They do ok close range but long range🤔🙈 my issue is 9 times out of 10 they don’t expand when you hit pest more likely to collapse than expand
I appreciate the videos you make helps out a lot. V3 shot pretty good 👍 daystate, not so good, with slugs, but it does shoot pellets really good 👍 thanks for the info. Be safe, buddy 👍
@SHOOTING TARGETS yes sir I just watched another video on the V3 the guy said that it shot better then his fx m3 in the beginning of the video then said the opposite through out the whole video lol 😆 I think the channel is Hondo1
🤣🤣 it was my channel I didn't say it shot better than the m3... I said it took alot more time to tune the vulcan 3 and if both are tuned with the ammo it likes, they are just as accurate as each other.
Guessing those hybrids are going way too fast. I do not have a .22 however they do shoot really well in my .25 and my .30 at 960-1000fps once i start pushing them 1020+ they really open up. Also these v3 barrels really like to be clean.
@@ShootingTargets727 oh wow! I figured you were probably pushing them closer to 1060fps or something lol!! Well In that case it might be worth adding a bit more speed, but again I haven’t owned a .22 however i do know from friends those .22’s do very well with 34g slugs 980-1020 fps I clean my barrels every 200 shots. That’s probably a bit excessive, but once these barrels dirty they really lose accuracy. Love the videos man, keep up the hard work! 🍻
Excuse me for being honest, I think that it is from 100m onwards when you can clearly see if an ammunition pairs well with the weapon, it is good to take time to practice, thanks for your appreciation.
I wish I could give you an exact setting. This was factory from Talon Tunes. Unlike some rifles being, daystate, or Airforce the setting are not as easily visual. The Regulator has an internal setting of about 150 ish bar. The hammer spring setting not so sure. Sorry can’t be more help
Good morning from South Africa!🤠 I don’t feel this was one of your best video’s! To much of this and that and what not’s!!! To be fair to both rifles and ammo and to the viewers and your ability as a marksman, both rifles must be in good shooting condition(cleaned and shot in. When I saw the 55jard grouping on both rifles,I said to myself, there must be something wrong with the Vulcan 3. Can’t comment on the Daystate because I don’t own one.I own a Vulcan 3 22cal standard out the box and up to 75 meters the grouping is exelent. JSB 25.39 redesign pellets. H&N 25g slugs. I don’t need to shoot more than 75m. I stay on a 2 hectares plot and that is what I need to control the vermin. And I do a lot of target practice. After tis video I am going to set up a 100m target and test my Vulcan properly at 100m. Will keep you up to date on the progress! Thanks for your videos! Love watching them!🤠
You bet yep lots of things going on actually too much. Next time try to keep it a bit more focused. So many rifles so little time right? Thanks for watching...
I wouldn't say it likes anything that you shot this day. I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I can shoot way better with way less of AIRGUNS. I think they need a proper tune.
There's no skill with this everyone I see now puts the gun in a vice. I mean your literally just pulling a trigger wonder why now I can come in and win in 3 gun against supposed great shooter's . I don't understand the fun in pulling a trigger with no skill .
Kevin, I come from a hunting background understand where you are coming from. This video is more of an overall test of the rifles accuracy and I no way results in a realistic shooting condition in the field. I have heard of some guns that are like 25lbs with all the gear bolted into the bench. That is not really for me but if we are talking accuracy and removing all the variables of the shooter for testing I kind of thing that is the best way. Hope that make sense. Thanks for watching, commenting and the sub.
I like this in depth and honest content. Is there a follow up on testing the Delta Wolf with slugs with a clear barrel maybe?
I could try another another video once the weather clears up.
@@ShootingTargets727 Just had contact with Daystate. Shortly they’re coming with a slug barrel first for the alpha/delta and later for the red wolf!!
Nice......@@BT-st4ho
