Air Force is an excellent platform and I hope AF continues doing what they have been doing for over 20 years. Making an excellent air rifle. One of the best! 🏆
I have been shooting AirForce rifles for a long time, and I've never had an issue shooting slugs through the choke. I've also seen sub moa groups at 100 yards. I have regulated an AirForce rifle, but the issue is that it pushes the bottle too far back, so your LOP is terrible. Yes, it would be nice to have a pic rail machined into the frame. I personally prefer the single shot. I can easily load a follow-up shot if needed. Frame flex usually occurs because many shooters will immediately get a heavier hammer and spring in an attempt to "over power" the rifle. Even after adding a Maddog stock and an aftermarket suppressor...it's still cheaper than most rifles today.
Monkey, good to hear from you. Yea, I actually like the single shot and really really enjoy shooting af single shot rifles for some reason. Sounds crazy right. I have a few condors I am working through right now. Thanks for viewing , commenting and the sub...

Bro, I tell ya, you have some of the best airgun reviews on the "Tube." I like how you give the negatives without "dissing" the airgun as a whole. For some of us that have been in the sport for a good while (more than 10 years), and have had the opportunity to own a wide spectrum of airguns from the top end to the extreme budget guns. Your outlook and commentary on whatever said airgun is always clear and informative. Thanks bro keep them coming! Now, gotta question for ya. How do you feel about putting a regulator and a plenum on the airforce platform? Seems to me that the few guys that have done it are quite pleased with the results, and I was wondering how you feel about it. Or were those enhancements just too far for this particular airgun?
First off thank you for the kind words about my reivews. I really try to make it balanced. So as far as the regulator and Penum goes that is still on the table and will be discussion for future videos. I think those items have some really positive additions to the platform but there are a few drawbacks as well that people will have to weigh it out. So stay tuned but for this video it was just too much to cover as many people are new to airguns and it might be too much info. Thanks again.
Nice review, I just ordered a regulator and am going to try to tune my condor ss .22. I have always liked my rifle and am excited to try to improve its accuracy. I glad to see someone reviewing this in 2023.
Another impartial accurate review. Jay you nailed it. My personal experience with these guns is from many years ago. I really tried to like them. Bought and sold 3 times. What you have there out of the box is an overpriced old style, single shot rifle that delivers springer accuracy. (Out of the box). For me the power adjustment knob never worked. Never repeatable. The top asshat back years ago when I owned them would never stay put where I wanted it. Chronograph results were a disaster every time I picked up this rifle, different velocities. Also in my opinion the way that hammer spring works with the bolt weight to hit the valve is to say the least not very precise from pellet to pellet. You pay $900 to get a rifle worth $400 and you put another amount of money on top of that to make it quiet and shoot in a way that I don’t trust it from shot to shot. Again my disclaimer is that my experience with these guns is from 10-15 yes ago but based on what you say, not much changed. I mean FX comes out with a new gun every year or so, this company basically plays with the bottle valve. No regulator, no magazines, no new way to release air, adjust power, nothing.
lol, yea so right now my older experience was just like yours. Some things have changed a little. I am going to try like so many others who have had good luck with these rifles and a tune. I do not know if it is possible to do. I would like to get 1.25 to 1.5 inches at 100 yards with at least 5 shots. I think that be really something. Anything additional accuracy wise would be icing on the cake. The question that I have in tuning it and really researching the rifle are some things are making more sense than they did years ago with the tune. My experience is the same as yours. We will see what it takes to get some good results from this and if it can be done. Ideally I am going to write down eveything I have done and see how much it costs and what effort. It might not be as bad as it seems but we will see. This week I shot 1.25 to .75 inch groups at 55 yards in 20 to 30 mile winds with this rifle so it shows some signs of coming together. Again another journey to take people along with. Thanks for watching and your input.
@@ShootingTargets727 What drove me nuts it was the inconsistency and unpredictability of the rifle. I've been looking at the AirForce products forever. Always wanted one as a long range, heavy hitting sniper rifle. There are a lot of options in PCP Airguns . Accuracy is now available in much less expensive PCPs . That is a good thing for first time level entry shooters . As a single shot , the Air Force is a good reliable gun ! To go along with these PCPs is the price of cheap compressors that has greatly helped to promote PCPs . They can do the job reliably as long as they only fill the the required pressures of the Airgun (you personally use ) . You need to do a in depth segment on 4500 psi compressors . In all fairness to PCP compressors, 4500 psi is a lot to ask of any compressor .
With the pcptunes extreme flow valves and 580cc carbon bottle it shoots 64grain spitzers in .25 at over 950 fps from 3000psi down to 1900 with minute difference in fps , with close to 40 full power shots on a single fill on a good day.

The deal breaker for me is the air usage , compared to a an FX . The price is much lower. I agree with most of you said about small improvements. Regulator , slug barrel etc.
Yea, air usage is chugging it down and burning alot of fuel right.... Older simpler design but not efficient for sure. There are ways to top hat it off to get better shot counts but nothing like regulated rifles.
Good overall assessment. I agree with your observation that Airforce has gone a bit stale. I think they are aware of that, because there is been a recent 20% price reduction among many of the online dealers for their products. I think they are getting squeezed from the high-end as you mentioned, but also by many of the feature packed PCPs coming out of China. I for one would certainly welcome more product innovation, as well as new introductions.

My Condor SS is accurate but my full power Condor is awful...even returned to factory but no change...the valve is terrible...going with a regulated set up next on it.
Why I get condor.. 1 Power 2 Tough simple not much what will brake o-rings.. 3 takedown 4 easy to change calibers. I use it 100-150m shooting. Silencer is must. Using most heavy pellets/slugs what I find it is still supersonic. Custom top hat custom hammer o-ring back of the valve helps air usage some or much depending how you tune it up. That is gen1 .22.. If I don't have that and getting now something I think I look one of Evanix rex offerings.. Is it better.. Don't know might be just bored after years of use of condor.. Some short airforce rifles are really sexy tho too... After years I like things shorter smaller easy to carry easy to store... This is one ass long boomstick... But vs new stuff like steyr pro x leshiy 2.... So much nice choices.

Yes they are build like little tanks right !
@@ShootingTargets727 went to shoot the condor an air is leaking out the top hat i call airforce i going sent both tanks in first time in like 13years that i had a problem witchis cool they get lift time warranty
Im not to sure about the 1" groups at 100 yards out off any airforce gun I'd have to see it
no doubt.. i am curious ...
No Doubt… Thanks for watching and the sub.
You nailed it
100%!👍👍
Thanks for watching !
@@ShootingTargets727 when you going to look at AGT? I got a Vulcan 3 and couldn’t sell my fx quick enough. Now I have 2 Vulcan 3’s and a uragan 2 most hassle free accurate slug shooters on the market. And now with the 56g zan pellets I wouldn’t be scared to shoot a bench match with my Vulcan 3 in .30 caliber. I’ll never buy another airgun that isn’t AGT
@@Oregon-airguns They are in the mail. Bought some from talon tunes. Start testing next week.
@@Oregon-airguns Thanks for the offer might have some questions so stay tuned.
The airforce condor ss in 25 cal is plain awesome
😀oohh yea !
My Condor SS is accurate but my full power Condor is awful...even returned to factory but no change...the valve is terrible...going with a regulated set up next on it.
nice what accuracy you getting from the ss ?
Buy American...
End of Story! 🎯
😃Thanks For Watching !
Think before I spend that much on a pellet gun I’m go buy a real gun
Yep I have thought about that many times lol...
So much nice choices.
ohh yea tons of guns now a days.......
