I couldn't agree more on the side content. The way I played XCX for Wii U on my second playthrough, was to treat the main story missions as a way to unlock new things to do. Really did all I could until there seemed to be nothing left to find and only then would I take the next main story mission, which would populate the world with more stuff to do. I found it a lot more enjoyable to play it like that.

I... can't agree with the wormhole theory simply on the grounds that... A. Literally that would've been something too big not to have mentioned right before being attacked by the Ghosts. B. That's... just too damn convenient. Like, too convenient and too obvious. Also, there's the whole issue of the Ghosts' using tech that relied on antimatter. And uh, last I checked, matter-antimatter pair annihilation is was what destroyed the Earth in X. Like, you literally see the explosions happening in the cutscenes... Now, I'm not denying a possible connection, but... I think it's a giant leap to assume that the Zohar had anything to do with it until we play the postgame for XCX DE and see if we can do some more retconning before going oh, it was definitely Origin, or whatever. Frankly, I'm fine with X being its own world separate, but adjacent, to the numbered XC trilogy. Too many little inconsistencies to neatly tie up over just the idea of synchronicity here. Well, it'll be fun to puzzle out either way and I do like the ideas bubbling up and around the topic, but... considering that most of the new content for XCX DE will be based on the cut content from the art book, we can at least be rest assured that there will be some sort of connection, even if it's not the direct one some ppl are hoping for. Me personally? I'm of the mind that it isn't a direct connection honestly. I'm more of the type who would prefer it be left just ambiguous enough to let it be part of the greater Xeno multiverse but stand on its own even without the numbered trilogy there and maybe build more off in its own direction.

Another funny thing about language in Xenoblade. iirc in the JP voice over of XC2, the word for human (hito) is written with katakana (ヒト) in the captions, except when Klaus says it, then it written with kanji (人). I don't remember the context in which it was said, but it's cool nonetheless.

Great taste! XC2 is a masterpiece! Then again, all XCs are. I'm happy to report that I knew nothing other than the healer and other class effect stuff! So now I'm a bit giddy to do another playthrough :D

After the end game it always felt as if some story was missing. The DE is looking to correct that. I hope they fixed the overdrive stuff. I could never fully figure that out.

Definitly going the Xenoblade DE Route of increasing the color saturation and going for brighter shades. I am still not entirely sure how to feel about it. On the one hand, I still actually prefer the "more dull" colors, but the color direction of X in execution really wasn't as solid as it was in Xenoblade 1, it lacks proper contrast between elements and kinda blends into a grey mush sometimes. Otherwise, the change is less subjective and more of an objective jump. Model diffrences are generally for the better, image quality is noticably improved, textures (that actually were adjusted, some seem to be the same) look generally better, etc.

It makes absolutely no sense that 3 would be connected to X without a multiverse, but I would like to point out that antimatter also plays a massive role in both games.

What I’m seeing from this is better texture detail, less aliasing on edges, better lighting and a more consistent frame rate. Given how stunning XCX was to begin with, we’re in for something special here

Yeah, like some of the Mims have artificial memories, and are called J bodies meaning most of them could just be J bodies, because their are Mim project probably didn’t work properly and didn’t save everyone. Well, not their minds anyway. It also would explain why no one’s body or Mims shut off because they’re all J bodies, human minds are long, dead or absorbed into Mira ???? cause it would explain why their bodies didn’t shut down, even though the lifehold damaged. My theory is that All Mims are J bodies that have artificial emotions and feeling, and personalities, and are based off of the original humans that died. Because the human soul actually can be copied, but the originals are dead.💀 I also heard a theory that the main character , is actually just an empty Mim with no human memory, it explains why our character doesn’t remember anything because it doesn’t have any. It’s literally just a AI learning and growing on its own.

Now the coalition government is not the same one. I know that the coalition government in earth 2.0 are there descendants they pretty much left earth in the 2000s and colonized the a planet and after earth disappeared, they renamed it earth as tribute, but because of the events of Xenosaga 3 they got cut off from the rest of humanity and forgot the other humans colonized the entire universe. I have my suspicions that X takes place billions of years in the future.

This is just my take on the timeline pretty much from the radio broadcast, which confirms X is Canon what takes place either millions of years in the future or billions??? Xenoblade 1-3(2000s- 4000s) take place in a pocket dimensions Xeno Saga 1-3 (4000s - 10,000s) takes place and the rest of the universe. Xenogears (4000s- 10,000) and the starting cutscene where the ship that came from earth, in the early 2000s before it disappeared. Was destroyed by some type of monster that came from the Red Zohar, which could be a prototype copy of the original Zohar. Kill the entire crew , and there was only a loan survivor that somehow gave birth to new humans???😮😮😮 and this happens 10,000 years in the future after Xeno saga 3. And finally Xenoblade X(billions) takes place billions of years in the future, because the game literally tells you at the beginning by Linn that humanity spent 4 1/2 billion years on earth, which is actually a colonized planet that was renamed earth. Which is earth 2.0, because the galaxy Federation colonized about 500,000 planets, but half of them were destroyed in Xenosaga 3. so earth 2.0 was renamed. But the humans on the planet were caught off from the rest of humanity for probably billions of years. Mira is the original earth, but because of the events Xenoblade 3 planet Earth changed and be came Mira billions of years later. I have a theory that it absorbed earth 2.0 and became one with it similar to what happened Xenoblade 1&2, his histories just repeating itself.

I don’t know why some fans are just stubborn, the radio broadcast literally confirms that all the games are connected. They literally put it in the game, which makes it canon. The writers say it’s Canon, and the creator of the entire series planned out from the very beginning all the way back to Xeno gears. His original plan was to create six games at different time periods , but in the same universe which he has already done with the entire Xeno series he just added more games to it. and the radio broadcast confirms all this. They’re also hints, multiple cameos, and as I mentioned before the radio broadcast which confirms that the games are all canon.😅😅😅

I have a theory that Clorian, Elma’s race and other aliens are rebelling against the ganglion and Saamar Federation and we’re planning on using. I hate to say this humans from earth 2.0 to fight back but their plans sort of backfired. Cause it would explain why their ship was there, they’re probably trying to fight back by helping humanity, but because of the massive explosion that absorbed earth 2.0 they crashed landed on Mira.😮😮😮😮

I knew it, the Clorians and Elma and her partner shared their technology with humanity, cause I know that Celica mentioned her people and humans are very similar. It’s probably because they have the same ancestors not exactly the same, but they all came from the original Earth, Mira billions of years ago or a long time ago. Because the great one , Home planet is earth/Mira itself it’s just the Ganglion and the rest of the Xenos didn’t know that at first until they found that Black Skell proving that the great one is a human from earth/Mira 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Cause there are a lot of hints that the Ganglion, the other humanoid Xenos,Saamarian , Clorian are descendants of humans from earth/Mira Now the humans from earth 2.0 which is a colonized planet that was colonized either millions of years ago or billions of years ago but because of the events of Xeno saga1-3 : Abel‘s Ark (Giant Gnosis that literally destroyed half of the universe by disintegrating planets, killing trillions of humans) Because of that event, the humans on earth 2.0 , completely forgot they were other humans on different planets, cause their ancestors just assumed all the other planets were destroyed, since they weren’t getting any signal back from other planets for probably millions of years. Because the great one might be Architect from Xenoblade 2: who recreated humans back on earth/Mira millions of years ago, the Ganglion and humanoid Xenos are their descendants and eventually joined the galaxy Federation that was left over and eventually after millions or even billions of years form Saamar federation. But something tells me they did it by force by conquering planet after planet, forcing other races to kneel to them.

Black and white levels are better. Pre-rendered cutscene are at a higher resolution and/or uses Anti-aliasing. Facial expressions seem to look better. No cel shading, looks like an upgrade of what they were doing with the OG.

Brighter colors, deeper blacks, everything is sharper. Can't wait!

For me, the pop-in of NPCs in Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Wii U was the issue. I hope that has been fixed.

Wow it really does look worlds different in some scenes. I can spot details that are just a blur on the WiiU and then there is the depth of colour. I can wait to play this again.

This is not a good comparison. The Wii U footage should be black-level adjusted. Wii U outputs black (0,0,0) as a dark grey (16,16,16). Wii U captured footage has to have its black levels lifted to 16.
