What Language does Klaus speak? Xeno Christmas Special
Merry Christmas!
I finally made a video on Christmas just so I can finally say it to you all!
I think this is a very interesting topic that doesn't warrant a fully fledged video and it fit to release in this video style so enjoy and let me know if shorter videos are a good idea.

It's only been over 2 weeks and I still can't stop thinking about Xenoblade X DE. For now I want to discuss possible retcons for the game that I think will happen to tie it into the main series better. But there aren't as many as you might think. A lot of stuff can stay as is, so let's discuss what needs to be changed and what not. Interviews: www.vg247.com/xenoblade-chronicles-2-postmortem-bre...

Which Xenoblade Should You Play First?
มุมมอง 9K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
In what order should you play Xenoblade? Well the answer seems simple but I actually think the true correct order is to just start with any game that you want to. Let's talk about why limiting yourself to an order is a bad idea. I go through every game and how I personally would rate them as first time experiences but in reality the point I am trying to make with this video is that you should j...

I've seen a lot of praise for XC2 combat, and now I think it's XC1's turn. And maybe I'll understand XC3's one day. What I personally appreciate about XC1's combat is it's kinetic nature. Visions and cooldowns make things exciting, trying to figure out the best way to change the future with the limited Party Guage you can spend, or the cooldowns on your party. In 2, I think it's more focused on optimising lots of seperate buffs, like the bonus for Fusion Combos, or something like Mythra's and Azami's buffs below 30%. Maybe why people gravitate to Shulk is because he is the best at changing the future.
yes, knew all these. if you dig on forums far back enough you'll find that reina/smalt and I were the ones that discovered and documented JustRange
canon language was extremply probably english from united kingdom. because english was a dominent spook today (Klaus time !) and in Xeno 3 is said the language stay in both world (probably a side efect of zanza minde/blades language) but the witten english was probably lost and humanity re invente witting (so they cannot read actual english in ruines). however Klause was probably german origins ans was or known japnese and the grec name od the trinity processor wasnt ths choice but co worker or boss.
The mystery is still here. I personally bet the Black Knight was a known person... maybe the original body of Laos (if Mimes become doppelgängers of the original person because the original reanimates their soul). But I personally think it's an old game character (like Shulk, Pirate Moebius, Noah...), and Laos was also one, but hidden in the game (and used the Laos Mimes). Another possibility is that the Laos in the post-credits scene wasn't Laos but another Mime or was controlled. But for the "Laos puppet controlled by another" theory, we need a character known on Earth before, and the last non-Xeno X character known to have ties with Earth and a grudge was Alvis/A. After the end of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC, she became part of the machine again and would need a body to return to the physical plane-same for Rex and Shulk. And A could act like this if it meant saving the future (she has visions). So, the Black Knight could be Rex or Shulk reincarnated. I add this because they said we would see them later, maybe in an XCXDE story sequel. (Please, Monolith, add a new zone to explore-it was so good in the original.)
I start with 3 and it's DLC and fell in love with the serious. So I want to know more about Rex and Shulk. So I played all Xenoblade Games on the Switch. Now I wait for Xenoblade X.
As a fans of Xeno's series from Gears to Blade. As long as Takahashi is not yet confirmed anything. Fans is free to make wild theory or judgement and I am happy about it because Xeno's fasn it os much bigger now, which is could make Square Enix to remaster Xenogears to modern platform that we all can enjoy
I've beaten the game three times and never knew that auto attacks had a sweet spot lol
I don't think Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma mean anything since when Malos asks the Architect what Logos means, he responded "It has no meaning. All it represents is the ego of those who named you." Which implies that he was not one of those people, and even if he was, "ego" suggests whoever named the cores chose greek names because it makes them sound smart even though they don't actually know greek. And about Telethia, It has an in-universe meaning (that which eliminates impure life), although tbh that could just be Lorithia saying that to be rude and intimidating to the party. If we take it as fact, then I think its more likely in universe that its a coincidence that its a bit like a greek word. Obviously the out-of-universe derivation is still that though.
The ultimate plot twist is Zanza not knowing Japanese but Chinese, since kanji are based on sinogram.
after 400 hours i knew all of them but nice to see a reminder. When i discovered the trick of using a special to run faster , i used to call it the home run
god i cant wait for Xenoblade X DE😢

THANK YOUUU happy holidays to you too!!💖💗💖
I think we may have found the setting of Xenoblade Chronicles 2's hypothetical Future Connected-style epilogue
Why would Morag be considered as a female character in the gameplay, if they are clearly the XC2 non binary character ? Please Morag, do the smash now
Klaus is probably a British scientist who moved to Rhadamanthus to work with the Zohar/Conduit. Klaus certainly knows Greek and Japanese. I think it’s very possible that other scientists were responsible for developing the trinity processor. If a Japanese scientist designed the processor that would explain the Kanji on both Malos and A/Alvis’s monados. The presence of greek is probably just a choice of theming to go along side the 3 beanstalks which were also named after Greek mythological figures
The topic of real culture and language coming into Xenoblade is kinda odd. I mean, when we have references to moon rabbits and oni, aswell as diffrent languages and real fighting styles being taken as a source, then several questions obviously arise. Did these things re-emerge naturally or are they somehow leftovers from the old world? Like, did Zanza, using the last fragments of his lost memory, teach the first homs what a Sobat is and that eventually ended up with Reyn many generations later? For the actual question of the video, that's kinda hard to say. We can at least assume that Klaus knows japanese because Zanza's reaction at the end of Xenoblade 1 feels less like "That's a symbol I have never seen" and more like "I know what that symbol says and I am in trouble". Assuming he named the first core crystals(It is not really confirmed if he did or not. He essencially only says about them that the names have no real meaning besides the research project having been pretentious), he would probably also have at least a vague understanding of greek. There are also other cultural influences related, like one of Malos' sword tonfa arts being named after french boxing(Savate), and it is hard to say if we can source that to Klaus too or not and if that means he knows french aswell if we can.
Both are insane
Klaus is likely english or german given his name is klaus but also knowing multiple languages
10/10
I want to add my little grain of salt. In XC2 Japanese language every time someone says "people" they use the words "ひと" in the subs, but when Klaus say it (and only with Klaus) the subs use the kanji "人". This is a form of implying that only Klaus remembers what Humanity really was 'cuz at the end of the day the people of Bionis and Alrest aren't really full humans. The people from Bionis are more or less made of 100% Ether and the people from Alrest are offsprings of Titans that look *almost* human.
That fact is actually fascinating but it doesn't change the fact that the people would adapt a similar type of speech if Zanza creates and governs the people and Klaus send Blades down that probably had the language installed as well. It also makes more sense that they can communicate with each other throughout the different worlds if they have the same language. As I said I definitely think the actual alphabet is lost but they speak similarly.
Iirc, the same kanji is actually used in XC1 in dialogue. Obviously still meaning "people" rather than "human" because the idea of the word "human" is entirely lost to the world of the ether sea. Kinda weird tho that it is specifically missing in 2 then.
12:45 reallly killed me lmao.
Klaus is most likely of German heritage, but I just realized something cursed. He could also be Dutch, and if he was the one to have actually found the Conduit in Africa, he might be from South Africa, and the canon language in the game is Afrikaans.
If we take saga to be canon then the Zohar/Conduit was found by a scientist named Dr. Masuda so I think it is likely that Klaus got brought on to the project later. Regardless Klaus definitely could be of German or Dutch descent
To be fair Santa Klaus gave us some compelling and hot characters with huge lineages. He really keeps on giving.
zanza klaus
Tora explained in a heart to heart that he got the name for Poppi QTpi, who was originally named Hana Judgement Day, because of the day he decided whether he should put his left foot or his right foot in the bath first. This would imply that he knows what those English words mean. Also, the localizers decided to keep the bath joke despite changing Poppi's name, which just makes it feel random.
Localizations and being consistent are a duo that won't happen any time soon. Poppi QT is Hana JK in japanese, being short for justice knight. One of her special quotes is still "Poppi justice!", even tho that makes no sense with the changed name.
Clearly you don't see the vision with the choice of left and right foot in the bath first representing the binary choice of left or right potentially being both true at once under Quantum superposition, hence the Q in QTPi
Clearly Xenoblade takes place in an alternate timeline where the British successfully retook the Americas. Hence why everyone uses British slang, you spoon.
The few remaining Americans fled to Mira

I knew 100% before XCX was born on Wii U that MonolithSoft is going to connect all of the games together. How well once Nin started to let NamcoBan work on Nin ips that was a HUGE light bulb that Nin was trying to get closer to NamcoBan so that they can get their hands on Saga so MonolithSoft can continue working to finish his story. I believe once S.Iwata heard Takashi story on challenges leaving SE & NamcoBan that he granted him his wish.
Maybe if we get a Xenoblade 2 Definitive we'd get another story that takes us to one of these missing titans? Pre-Xenoblade 3 Rex, could be there, or even an adventure with his and Zeke's kids.
If I'm being honest. I've started with 1 way back on the Wi, and my recommendation for the order(s) you should play is: STORY ORDER: Play 1 or 2 first, whichever one tickles your fancy more and play it's respective post game DLC afterwards. Play the game you didn't choose to play first from above. Finish with Xenoblade 3 and it's DLC after finishing the main game. As much as these games have enough standalone content to realistically start in any order. I firmly believe 3 MUST be the last game you play. There is way too much in 3 that is rewarded for having the other two games on your belt. GAME MECHANICS ORDER: Play 1 -> Play 2 -> Play 3. If game mechanics matter more to you, play in numerical order. Until X comes out in March, 1 is the black sheep in terms of how combat works. But when you get to 2 and 3, while there's a lot that differentiates the two, the UI for your main way of attacking remains relatively the same between the two which makes for a much smoother transition between games. As a response to your somewhat controversial recommendation of playing 3 first. I can understand where you're coming from, however even with that benefit you're using as the crux of boosting your recommendation, I truly do believe that 3 as the closing game of the trilogy closes out the Saga the three games are involved with is too important to even take the chance of spoiling by playing first. Additionally, as much as it does make it harder for newbies to the games, I personally believe playing games with worse QOL before the games with better QOL will improve the gaming experience as it doesn't set up a situation where the player becomes mad that a feature they enjoyed from a previous game isn't present in the one they're currently playing. Overall, it truly is a preference and depends on your style of play and what you value most in games in order to find the best order for you. I do agree that this series is just that good that even if you play in a different order, you're bound to find some unique perspective on why the order you ended up with was good.
7yrs, and i still don't have Cos-mos. Opened at least 10k Legendary cores.
Ah yes my favorite Xenoblade 2 gender: Tora
I think the point of the L7's name not being told is to show that Noah s*cks at naming and he's embarassed at it that's it. The humor probably slipped alot of people, since they're too focused on it (I don't blame them) but the name of the sword barely matters in the context of the lore and the narrative anyway... L7 being Fiora is a surprise tho.. Nia being Queen is just a title as the admin of Origin, Her being a queen tho is more of a propaganda by Z to instill a sense of servitude for Agnian. I don't think it's specified in the interview that she's the Queen of Gormott as well(?) So I wonder where did you get that info (correct me if I'm wrong). And if that's true I think she deserves to be the Queen of Gormott anyway since she's the blade of one of the Royal Family there.
We can see that she is a Queen before the worlds collide in the flashback when she talks to Melia about Origin.
For Nia...
I can't believe after all this time, Zeke's smash was secretly amazing. This is the game that just never stops giving.
7 years... breh. I remember when my mom got me the game at launch when I was 17 and complained about Pyra's bosom and how much they yelled in battle. So much nostalgia and I love this game too much. Both sentimentally and honestly because it's awesome. Also it took me like 170 hours to learn how the top right elemental combo tree worked lol. Wracked my brain so much trying to remember the combos manually. The game's beautiful intricacy led me down a rabbit hole of chasing complex games like Disgaea. XBC2 4ever ❤️
Christ I never even realized there was an element symbol in the middle of the icons there in the first place, let alone that it would light up or that there's specific ranges for weapons to be most effective! And I thought I understood the game's combat well. Honestly thought this video would be a bunch of shit I already knew, but good job proving my arrogance wrong. lol These were all great!
The only thing I didn’t know about was the sweet spot, or just range mechanic. Well I did notice the last part too but I didn’t know the reason behind it till now. Why the fuck did they not tell you about the just range!?
I played 2 first, and I have one good thing to say about that that I havent seen anyone else cover. In Xenoblade 1 you have the Mechonis, and in Xenoblade 2 you have the World Tree. Its probably not too much of a spoiler to say that in each game, you eventually travel to those prominent world features - However the way the theming and world-building pivot away from typical fantasy and towards the stuff that makes Xenoblade special when you get to that part of each game is felt much more sharply in Xenoblade 2. The pivot is faster, and the change in theming and worldbuilding is larger and more impactful. And yet I feel like that pivot wouldnt have the same impact on someone who's played 1 first, who is familiar with the pivot in that game. For me, that pivot in 2 was a key part of what took the game "oh, this is neat" to "my mind is blown, and I am obsessed", so for that reason I hesitate to recommend playing 1 first. On an unrelated note, Im super excited for Xenoblade X to come to Switch next year!
Actually the just range mechanic just increases your auto-attack stat by 20%. And it doesn't work for Blade Special IV for some reasons.
Bruh number 7 makes so much sense, i never knew this but explains why it felt good to have morag and nia for my nlade combo set and zek and tora for my driver combos
"The planet we left behind" I always took that as metaphorically. Not that they're literally look for Earth again, but to find/make a new planet that feels like Earth that no longer exists.
Another hidden mechanic that's not explained in the game is you can raise trust level of a blade above A when you fill their affinity chart; the next set of grades being S, S1-S9, then S+. Getting your blades to S+ trust will give them ridiculous auto-attack stat; Shulk having the highest at 1974 with the best core chip equipped/Tachyon chip. Blades with the bitball weapon have the lowest auto-attack rate at 1119. I have every rare blade at S+ trust, my play time was around 800hrs when I achieved that.
Never thought of using Zeke’s really long cast time on his mega lance smash art to my advantage. I usually just put smash on somebody else.
I knew everything except the very first one, about "just range." This is probably my favorite video game of all time, so learning something after at least like 12 playthroughs is so damn cool
