Benefits of Training Hand Switches in Knife Defense
🔥🔥🔥
Ohhhh this is 🔥
Would gripping over the knife hand be more effective against a hand switch? Also I know in wrestling and grappling i prefer to have my outside hand figure fouring the arm then extend his arm and drag his hand to the mat. But with the knife in a case of a single attacker i Would prefer to roll so i end up in side control with that should lock control in place and can go for the break on the shoulder.
Nice!! I need to try this next time!!
I feel it would be hard to use the other hand when it’s being used to prevent one’s face from planting 🤷♀️
Feel like this combined with my Judo would work very well.
Funny Guy. 😂 You touch my hoody (Blind or not.) It’s all over the 2nd I feel the slightest pull. Within that split 2nd my arm, or leg respectively would follow the angle of pull and knock you out, or at the very least hurt you badly. LOL However, check out the chub sitting down. That’s two biatches knocked out. One for trying, and the other for being too close. 😂
Did you rip dudes 40 dollars up ?
Lol ok
total bulshido. after a second he'll just reach to grab the knife with his free hand.
Run. Dont fight with somebody holding a knife.
You're funny!! ❤😂
They need to see videos the Filipino knife master from Budo Brothers to realise the how useless this is.
I've seen all those videos actually 😁 1) 99.9% of people that attack people with knives are untrained. So self defense isn't about fighting "Kali Masters" 2) In real life, anyone who only trains FMA would get destroyed by your average D3 wrestler, with 2 hours of knife training, and a few drinks in him because self defense isn't choreographed flow drills... It's violence. 3) Merry Christmas!!!! I hope you're having a fantastic day!!! 🎅😘
@@aaronj428 Thanks, merry Xmas to you too. Appreciate your content but as this is a BJJ channel I don't think we can expect more than this. With all respect, I'm just being honest, usually in realistic situation or knife sparring drills, it would take several blows to vital points, like kicking the balls, knee to the solar plexus, a chop to the throat, or at least pushing him off balance,.. before you could start wrestling with that knife hand. Otherwise as a normal human being weighs no less than you, he will try to retract his knife hand, or wiggle the knife (or flex his wrist to cut your grabbing hand with the blade if he is trained) and the situation would become really messy.
@@phugia963 Great points. And I agree with several of them. If you take time to dig deeper you'd realize I we train striking, weapons, etc. I started in Krav Maga, kickboxing, and Kali before I got deep into grappling. Striking is a crucial part of defending. That said, the entanglement is that most difficult, so we fucked there first, and expand outward. Spend time exploring the page and our training courses, then make educated decisions in what you "think" we believe in. When we make quick assumptions off short videos that are primarily created to simply get engagement, nothing good comes from it. Would love to train with you some day. 💪
@@aaronj428 total bulshido
Don't fo this, no matter how good you are at martial arts. Your first priority is to run the only exception is unless you are jon jones
he literally has another hand he can take the knife with
Great stuff! I wish I could attend the KCC one day!
Tip when someone shoots at u instead of pushing sprawl if you don’t know what that is is when you throw your legs back before your opponent can get to them it is faster because you cat get an easy go behind I am a wrestler
🎯
Whats stopping him from grabbing the knife with the other hand and stabbing you??
Usually untrained attackers don't do that, they just focus on his knife and attack you. Only a trained attacker do that

Basic Bulshido knife defense strategy.
Nice
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Have you guys ever looked into the akustrike training knives that make a noise and flash when you get tagged?
There are two much better methods in a street fight one of which can lead to a KO, but it would be wrong to share it
Self Defense Gurus: MMA doesn't work in the street. Reasonable People: Here's a video of MMA being used in a street fight. Self Defense Gurus: But..But MMA doesn't work against an armed attacker. Reasonable People Here's an MMA fighter defending from a knife attack. Self Defense Gurus: Staaaahhhp. You're not supposed to do that.
Good job 👍🌹 thank you 🌹
Seen the vide dude was from miami Personal trainer
this is great.. sad it only works in a movie...
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🔥
I've never been so happy to get stabbed.....a lot. 😂
Great distance management, too. All the way out until he could get outside the elbows, then he drove in hard.
Did jujitsu mindset is as follows: “I paid for a class and now I think I am the end all be all of combat, and I will ceaselessly let everyone in my general vicinity know that I roll on the floor with other sweaty dudes all day“
Love the slow motion moves. You really get a good look at what's going one.
This is straight up bullshit
Don’t have the camera guy so close, keep the camera steady, and perform the move quicker into the video and you’ll get more views
big fan of you
Thank you 🙏🙏
what stop this person to change hands with blade and keep stabbing, seems like nothing ... this is what I would do immediately
your brother jacob sent me here!
I just took an KCC Knife Control Concepts seminar hosted by Krav Oz in Germantown, MD with these two very professional instructors. Thank you! Aaron, Mike, and Eli Knight who is not in this video. I'll see you next year for KCC 2.
No Comment? realy?… every Video in this Channel is pure Gold!!! Keep going on!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Gracias Mr Aaron por tu respuesta extensa y dedicada. Very polite! Un saludo GUERRERO!
But you ctiticed gracie teniques( gst) ...and now teach his techniques...i dont undestand your change.
Appreciate the comment 🙏. A few really good things to note here. 1) Shin staples, and stock positions have been taught for hundreds of years. I personally have never seen a video of Rener showing a shin staple (I'm sure there are several somewhere). This is a common technique that has been taught by several people for many reasons. I first learned the shin staple in a Kali course in 2009. I also have a book written a few hundred years ago that had illustrations of that movement. It's a staple in many programs because it can work if used properly. I also believe that using these techniques requires a foundation of wrestling/top control first, before they can actually be implemented. 2) I agree with several things that I've seen Rener do, and I strongly disagree with several things I've seen him do. It's possible to do both. If he's teaching shin staples, then I most likely agree with some of what he's teaching in that regard, and I also imagine we would disagree on things. I often disagree when, in my opinion, he skips a practical response for what seems to be the goal of specifically highlighting some intricate jiujitsu technique. That's simply my opinion. That's the beauty of training. Rener is a very charismatic and very talented teacher. I respect that. It's possible to respect someone and disagree with them. It's actually very healthy. I genuinely appreciate conversations like this.
It's almost like it's a fight... In all seriousness, good stuff
Hi Aaron! Thanks for sharing these techniques. It blows my mind that there are not 100k subs for this channel. You have a charisma that makes these videos both educational and entertaining. Keep up the great work! Also, I would love to see a few videos that are geared for folks that are new to jujitsu. Maybe a video on tips for how to train without a partner or how to train with your wife or girlfriend as a partner.

Cheers fella. No idea why you don't have more subscribers.
I used the reverse lobster claw to get an underhook four times in class tonight!
That's awesome!!!! Hell yes. So glad it helped!!!
Greatly appreciated Aaron! I’m taking a once-a-week wrestling class at an mma gym and the hand fighting instruction consists of “Grab a partner, handfighting, 3 minutes. GO.” Happy to have a few more ideas to try.
