That first one looks like a good chance to use a judo grip break. Popping with your hand instead of the elbow and grabbing your own jacket on the other side.
I like these style of videos. I need to try these exercises. See what techniques are good for me in these situations. Thanks for the food for thought.

Implementing grip breaks from judo is a great thing to explore in self defense. At times, they can be very effective. At times, they can be a liability. The biggest variable will be training in the end. Excited that you found value in it. Excited to hear how it treated you when you played with it!

    Awesome stuff as always..
People don’t like the messy side of knife defence & tend to avoid looking at it, because,,,, it’s messy & dam hard not to get stabbed.
    Avoiding reality doesn’t help anyone

Thank you so much. That really means a ton. You're right, knife defense is a mess. The more we accept that, the more likely we can improve our chances to survive it. Happy training my friend!

That's the mission. Get people to explore different ideas and see what tends to work for them against resistance. Excited to see what you discover. Thank you so much for engaging with the content!

Lee Morrison is a great resource. Had the pleasure of training with him on several occasions.
