Conegui uno usado es nascar edition encienden los controles y si recarga los pellets pero nomas no puedo hacerlo que encienda a lo mejor no sirve
I feel like a true handy man after just replacing mine
Hope your kid got better
Got mine and haven't had any issues. The manual does state that there might be smoke that escapes from the door but it's considered normal for airflow circulation. At least that's what it says. I've used mine 5x and everything comes out amazing. Hope it lasts!!!
Did it still have the gap? On the fence about buying this smoker and it seems like you have a love-hate relationship. If you were to put yourself in the perspective of a person who places a bit more value on the end result than the longevity, would you recommend this product? Basically, I am freaking out about hosting Thanksgiving for 60 people for the first time. I need something that will do the job THIS year (at least), but would really like something that will do the job EVERY year. Would you buy if you were me? or would you recommend another vertical pellet smoker?
What did you end up doing or getting?
Socket size?.. lol
What a piece of junk! I've seen other videos about shipping damage that seems to be very common with this pit for some reason (lack of decent packing and/or careless handling) and CC customer service seems to be lackluster. My Grilla OG had a few issues but customer service was top-notch! Think I won't be purchasing a Camp Chef. Don't need any aggravation. I'll be looking at the Grilla Mammoth vertical pellet smoker. No wood box but at least if anything goes wrong with it either in shipping or after the fact they are right on it. Nothing like customer satisfaction, good company.
@@mikesr3011 CC grills are not made to last.
Seen one for like 1200. Epx6 model. That wont ever happen
Every time I open or close the grill the second layer of the grill falls off, did you have the same problem?
@@marcelodineck never had that problem.
Hot Hair dryer on the sticker when you try and peel it
I cant decide if i should get the woodwind pro or the xxl pro
What brand pellets are you using and what your smoke setting at. And are you using the smoke box at the same time.
What brand pellets did you use, and did you use the smoke boxes well.
You scored!
How long did it take
Like 4-5 hours.
In your video, I noticed a gap in the back of your burn pot. It may not be sitting flush, recommend checking it as that can cause Temps to fluctuate or even a flameout. Congrats on three years of ownership. Love my elx6. Weber added a metal heat deflector to the front area on their last model. Suppose to help even out Temps. See if you can find one to add to your cookbox.
I had many smokefire grills and all have the same gap. Idk if it is intentional or a defect.
Another ruined meal because of kids...I know the feeling but family first. Do you continue to use that grill?
That's why I don't have kids 😂
I've had a gen 2 ex4 for about 3 years.. need to keep the fine saw dust out of the hopper. Also changing the igniter regularly prevents issues I wish it had a hour meter for maintenance
Summit owners don’t care about “free”. We want it to look good too.
Nothing but problems from the start. Buy something else.
Looks like a lot of smoke is escaping around the door. Is there no seal?
Great deal. 20yrs ago I bought 6 burner JennAire Propane grill listed at $2250 and paid $500 Dent & Scratch (I've replaced the grids and manifolds twice, but it still runs great!) Yesterday I was at HD and got a Masterbuilt 1050 listed at $978 paid $475. Summer is gonna be Awesome
Where did you get your fire pot at?
Ebay $30
What about putting aluminum foil between the charcoal and the holes? Did you have any problem with the lid temperature gauge? Mine never moved.
I put aluminum foil on mines because I didn’t want to burn out the bottom and I have had zero issues
Thanks for your review, it help
How did you move the charcoal over?
You stole it for $225. Thats just exterior cosmetic blemish..😁👌 Some high temp rattle can will cover it up.
Seams like all bitches no work. Call the company and give them a chance
Sad to see this as that’s generally considered a higher quality product than a Pit Boss or Traeger. I’ve had my Traeger 7 years and have only replaced the hot rod and it runs perfectly. I also have a small Pit Boss that runs very well.
Have you considered the pellets? I use my Smokefire twice a week and have only vacuumed out the firepower twice in 4 months. There are hardly any ashes when I have.
Hello, maybe. I have a Gen 2 now and I use it multiple times a week and use the patriot blend from pitboss, charcoal and hickor blend and I clean it once a month maybe. No issues.
I wonder why it is being discontinued
Cause it has issues with pellets feeding and grease fires. It is not as other pellet grills of set and forget.
The Pit Boss 850 Competition Series Pellet Grill will out smoke it two to one for less than half the price. And you won't have as much ash encroachment on the Pit Boss either.
Nice
Thank you for taking the time to share this information.
love my smokefire awesome pit
It's different than the kettle. I would recommend a cover at the very least when not in use.
Mine is good except the pellets always jam , Have to check it every 15 minutes so it doesnt shut down
Have you removed the finger guard inside the hopper?
@@unclegeorgesbbq1085 yes i did remove the guard, and i only use weber pellets Other makes of pellets are bigger and more prone to jamming
@@dct150 try pit boss pellets, they are smaller most of the time. I had void issues too, specially when cooking at high temps. Since I removed the guard I havent had any issues.
I have a Gen 1 EX4 purchased in 5/21. Every working component (controller, igniter, auger chute, auger 2 times, temp sensor) was replaced during the first two years of ownership. A Weber employee replaced the temp sensor at my home. So basically I have a Gen 2 smoker now. I use it several times a month. I believe it puts more smoke on the meat than most if not all other pellet smokers due to the lack of a smoke stack. It’s interesting that many newer models have copied this feature. App is also much improved. I agree, it’s a shame they rushed it to market.
I also have an early gen 2 no problems and still all original parts. Too bad they rushed them to market with so many issues. I believe Weber really killed their chance of being a brand in the pellet grill game.
The idea of no grease tray is what I really like about this grill. I hope they do a better job with the Searwood.
love my ex4 2 years now no problems.
I just came to talk shit but dammit it looks great😅
Great grill, if you don't have one think about the slow and sear made for this Summit...opens a few doors because it's a good size and bigger than the two baskets that comes with it
The culture talk that no news outlet will ever touch
They are very problematic which makes them not so good imo. Doesn't always stay lit.
If it’s windy, it will vary the temperature. Use a welding blanket or grill insulation pads. My EX4 never worked better.
is that gasket foam or felt material? peel and stick? How has the performance of the grill been since you made this video.
I just got one 2 weeks ago from dicks sporting goods it was on sale think i got for 595 and that’s with 150 bucks for shipping was a really good deal but I’m having same issues u r and my door warps really bad to where it will barley open / close haven’t noticed anything with the probes yet and my unit came damaged from shipping 2 dents in the side of it small ones. Oh and my ash dump is really hard to open also idk what’s going on with that
If it jams I give my ash dump a tap from below with a short length of wood, that unjams it right away.
Are you missing parts? The two pieces of metal that go over the burn pot that the heat deflector sits on? They are square and have a hole in center for the burn pot.
It disappointed me with the quality, and I am a weber fan. I stayed with my recteq!
its an amazing pit. 3 years in wisconsin winters, the things a beats
I just received my XXL Pro last week. They are now shipping the box on a pallet, with shrink wrap around it. I had no dented or bent parts. I smoked 8 racks of babybacks 2 days ago. They had the biggest smoke ring I've ever seen on ribs. They came out great, with very little effort compared to my offset. I ordered it from Amazon btw.
I really want one i was thinking of the xxl but keep seeing problems with rust and the hopper for the pellets jam alot
