Porsche 935, Drugs and Le Mans - The Story of The Whittington Brothers
In the high-octane world of motorsport, few stories are as captivating and controversial as that of the Whittington brothers. Known for their success on the racetrack, particularly with the iconic Porsche 935, they also had a tumultuous past intertwined with the dark underbelly of drug trafficking. The brothers, Don and Bill Whittington, emerged from the world of illegal drug trade to become notable figures in endurance racing, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Their journey is not just a tale of racing glory but also a dramatic narrative of risk, ambition, and redemption, showcasing how the thrill of speed often rides alongside the dangers of a life lived outside the law.

On one hand, it was piece of brilliant engineering but on the other hand it embodied the desperation that TTE was in to make latest Celica competitive. Toyota forced the team to use Celica as a base for their pro...

Mercedes-Benz CLR - Le Mans Flying Academy
มุมมอง 188K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Mercedes is certainly no stranger to motorsports. The German brand has been at it for the better part of the last 100 years. The company was involved in Grand Prix as early as 1923, with their teardrop-shaped Benz Tropfenwagen and then there was LeMans incident from 1955 where a 300 SLR crash-landed into the stands. Mercedes dominated the FIA GT1 class in the 1990s, but that was followed by som...

They were used in all combat theaters-not only by the United States, but also by Great Britain, the Free French, China, and even the Soviet Union. Initially developed to replace the M3 "Grant/Lee" medium tank, the first Shermans were manufactured in 1942 and ...

1:30 ARE YOU SAYNG THAT IN THE 80'S WE HAD IRL MOTORSTORM AND NO ONE TOLD US?!?!?!?
You have to admit, that was crafty as hell. No one would have known if one guy didn't turn them in. So imagine if Group B was still around...
Sell-EE-ka. Not SELLicker.
Loncha
Great channel… boring my mrs to tears😢
The only reason why Audi was struggling in rally was because the Quatro was banned - because it was too good.
now the most dangerous car in Dakkar is a Jaguar ....owning one might get you thrown of a rooftop or at least public lashings after that rebrand .
many points have been covered in this video, but the question still remains whether it *actually* succeeded or not
Beautiful car illustrations
He calls them duff trucks
Rip Jan De Rooy
the biggest traffickers in the U.S.A § !!
While it may've been cheating, that air restrictor bypass was a work of engineering genius!
Came to watch a video on the Celica, ended up watching a video on Colin McRae and his rally career and death.
1:40 oh mah gah!!! Osaka Azumanga Daioh Jumpscare!!
yo fuck this AI voiced and scripted trash
Toyota had a long absence in WRC since that fatal stop in Wales by Sainz. After 18 years they returned in 2017 and been WRC since 2018 to 2023. They've developed the GR Yaris from WRC for WRC and it's selling like hot cakes
Toyota cheated because the Celica is a shitbox and they are incapable of building a decent car!
You cant beat Toyota
Group B was banned bc it was too dangerous. But cars now are even faster and people still stand in the roads, now they use flares to blind the drivers. Far more dangerous now. Oh the irony. Also I own 2x 92 Toyota Celica GT-Four CSE. One red and one black. My father is a rally guy and worked for Toyota for a 25+ years in their racing department. He loves those cars more than anything when it comes to possessions, so I will always keep them in storage in a bubble. But I do take them out every year or so for a little ride.
3:38 sigma truck coatings 😎😎
Ah yes, famed automobile manufacturers "Lancha" and "Puhzho"
I wanted more info on the turbo. Finding a new and alternate way to get more air while following other technical aspects and limitations is not cheating. Why didn't they outlaw 4wd in the early years? Was that not the same type of advantage?
Interesting to note that reckless McRae kept his McCrash reputation until his dying day, sadly taking others with him, including two children.
Subaru also put anti lag on their turbos
Was looking to buy a GT 4 in 2005. Couldn't find a single one in decent nick!

Why are you using 60FPS AI interpolated footage
Hmmm. Could bet the voice is also AI.
Sounds like those guys preferred drugs over hugs. Or just said yes to drugs.

I love the Porsche 935 of that era.
I usually drive a suburban. I rented a 2024 Camray . The difference was like night and day. Stops on a dime. It was the fastest car I ever drove. It had three ways to shift gears. Keep your elbows locked on your legs, hands on the wheel, and use paddles under the wheel. It fish tails on wet pavement. Don't try to figure out the computer/radio on the dashboard. When it goes past 110mph, it shimmy shakes. ...
It is made for short, skinny people. Getting out is like Alan Shepherd getting out of Freedom 7. I had to elbow my way up and out from inches above the pavement . Not for chubs
Of course it's night and day... you're talking an SUV that weighs a thousand pounds or more. The center of gravity is lower in the Camry. Also, if you're "fishtailing", you probably need better rubber. Keep in mind, it's a rental car.. so they're not going to buy top of the line tires.
The sound of engines, talking and music is just sound overload. Please cut the music for more enjoyment of a great video.
Mitsubishi makes me sad seeing how that titan has now fallen by the wayside

When non Asian companies did something, they said it's innovative or something good for the future. But if it's Asian companies, CHEAT, UNFAIR, all the negativity shoots towards them.

Incredible machine. In Australia, we pronounce it as ...See leak a
F*ck Reagan! Him and Nancy screwed our country over sooo so hard... That "Just Say No" campaign I remember as a kid got countless minorities insanely long and undeserved sentences for simple possession charges of personal amounts of drugs of various sorts. Mainly weed and crack. Weed should be legal nationwide and taxed and the feds could make insane billions off of worldwide sales, and the whole crack thing was essentially created by the feds.
✌️🤠💥🌟🌀👍
The 936s were Porsche factory entries with Essex sponsorship.
Toyota - still cheating in 2024
Its Daf not Duf or more precisely Dav is closer to the way the Dutch pronounce it. Its literally written on the side of the truck how can you get it wrong.

This is what happens when an american talks about something - you ruin it, you dumb it down (for american audience i guess), and you take an interesting subject, and fuck it up... nice work...
