WNBA Prizm usually gets released in the beginning of October. Boxes typically run about $150. First year WNBA prizm had a pre-sale listing of $115, but quickly went to $300/box. It will be interesting to see where this year's box lands. I personally like ripping a box as there is usually a decent amount of color and I am a WNBA fan, so it's a lot more fun for me. The only year that stunk for WNBA Prizm was 2022 when they expanded the checklist to 200 cards to include a bunch of nonsense to celebrate 25 years of the W and it was a terrible rookie class. The 2023 checklist went down to 150 cards. I personally liked the first year (2020) when it was a 100 card checklist, which seems right sized and the design of the Autographed cards did not mimic the 2020 NBA Prizm cards, which was also cool to see.

I would never buy a rare 90s card in a BGS slab. Too risky

Love the show I have watched all of them either live but mostly the replays. Question. How much does it influence you to see a card you are watching in someone else’s cart? i received an offer on a card I was watching and eBay also shows that the card is in 2 other peoples cart! Is that supposed to make me fear losing it and buy it right away? How easy is it to manipulate this number. If people shill bid then they most certainly can have multiple accounts and add it to cart or have friends do it? What about the number of people watching an item ? How legit are any of these numbers and do you pay attention to them? Thanks!!

Josh is big mad! I remember in 22 after the finals you said Luka would never blow a finals like Tatum did... Fast forward to 24 Luka get gentleman swept in the finals... 😂 Stat padding? Go look at Luka in the 4th quarter of those games ( if that not stat padding I don t know what is) 😂

Sometimes, the second banana wins the finals MVP. Cedric Maxwell, James Worthy, Tony Parker and Paul Pierce all snuck in a Finals MVP over Bird, Magic, Duncan and Garnett. Willis Reed also got a proto-participation trophy over Clyde Frasier. This might be great for the Celtics as Tatum will be motivated to get his next year. Tatum made first team All-NBA and Brown didn't ever make Third team; we all know who the better player is.

I never buy this new overpriced garbage as the loses are scary.just completed a 61 fleer basketball set no worries..my pal just got a wemby brown duty card lol

Interesting to hear Chris say something I've been saying for awhile. Collectors want lower prices. It's investors that want higher prices. I care more about the price it costs me to add an item to my collection. Once I have it, I'm not worried about what it goes for. But, I'm a collector.

how are you finding an accurate estimate value though? if someone estimates their card extremely high or low, wouldn't that skew the entire index?

Can I ask you guys a question since you’re affiliated with PSA? How often do they add cards to the player set registries I’m in the leBron James registry and there’s a lot of cards that aren’t on it will they ever get added?

Great episode but disagree on “there’s no way to have an enjoyable Barry Sanders rookie card”. His 89 score, regardless of the print run, is the reason sooo many people got into the hobby. It’s the football version of 89 UD Griffey. I own a few and it’s easily a top 5 joy bringer

The Barry Sanders RC take is laughable fellas, cards don't all have to be worth a ton for them to be desired/beloved by many. I collect from that era just for the fun of reliving my youth and I dig many of the designs too. That's what binders are for, kids.

Instead of altering cards...how about altering the PSA population report as a topic? What was the condition of the Wemby, pre-graded, that required card care? Had it been graded an 8 because of a surface issue, would it had been cracked, cleaned, then received a higher grade? My biggest pet peeve is that the same people who find this to be a travesty to the purity of sportscards are the same that do not hesitate to crack a PSA card for resubmission, altering the population. Would love a take on what you all believe is the percentage of cards in the report that have been graded more than once. Thanks!

What exactly do people think Kurt's stuff does? It isn't magical. It doesn't change the integrity of the cardboard. It isn't wizardry. You can't buy his stuff & watch his videos ... and all of a sudden turn all your cards to gems. That's not how this works....but that's how it's being discussed.
