I clean my cards before i sub em too. Helps w/ the grade. Were harping on this if they’re not trimming, removing dents, dinged corners, adding color, creases🙄
What exactly do people think Kurt's stuff does? It isn't magical. It doesn't change the integrity of the cardboard. It isn't wizardry. You can't buy his stuff & watch his videos ... and all of a sudden turn all your cards to gems. That's not how this works....but that's how it's being discussed.
I respect this take. It is an individuals choice to purchase his products. Second, this also has a vibe to where we shouldn’t just put up with this as a norm. It feels like that too. Personally I do wipe my cards with a microfiber because I grade everything raw I get with PSA if collecting or flipping to buy more bonds. What do you do with your cards sir?
The burden of proof should be placed on the people putting a chemical solution onto a card, not the people who are asking for it not to occur. The people really pushing for this are flippers who want to make an easy buck, and if that's the primary force, you can tell the intentions are not for the greater good.
Instead of altering cards...how about altering the PSA population report as a topic? What was the condition of the Wemby, pre-graded, that required card care? Had it been graded an 8 because of a surface issue, would it had been cracked, cleaned, then received a higher grade?
My biggest pet peeve is that the same people who find this to be a travesty to the purity of sportscards are the same that do not hesitate to crack a PSA card for resubmission, altering the population. Would love a take on what you all believe is the percentage of cards in the report that have been graded more than once. Thanks!
What I do personally is send back in my cracked labels and SGC and BGS take off the card from their perspective pop reports.
Could have graded 10 straight out of the pack. You’ll never know. So get over it
