Just watching this episode (kinda working my way backwards through y’all’s catalog) and had to pause to comment this. As someone who this year got back into the hobby after 25+ years, and is trying to figure out how to “do it right”, your convo about how you got back into it and how you’re evolving your collections (strategy, etc) is the most helpful thing I’ve seen or listened to since I got back in. I agree with you that Purdy would be better than a number of starting qbs on some of the teams with bad qbs, but i think Josh hit it on the nose for why people talk differently about guys like lamar and allen. This is where actually watching the games and not just looking at the stat sheet comes into play. Purdy has possibly the best YAC receiver in the league in Deebo. And probably the best pass catching rb as well. Also one of the better TEs in the league. On top of that, they have a great defense. He's solid, but lets not act like he is 11-0 because he is some great qb.

That question about 90s collections is so on point. That’s so much of what those collectors talk about that it feels that’s all anyone collects. SO tired of hearing about the Rubies and (overrated) PMGs.
