Attack On Titan: What If Marley Never Attacked Paradis || What If Wall Maria Never Falls
When you think of the iconic image from early Attack on Titan, the Colossal Titan peeking over Wall Maria is the one that stands out. This moment turned the world upside down and set the stage for the series. However, as we learned in Season 4, the destruction of Wall Maria almost didn’t happen. After Marcel’s death, Annie wanted to abandon the mission and return to Marley. But Reiner, fearing punishment for failure, insisted they continue. He convinced Annie and Bertolt to push forward, leading to the fall of Wall Maria and everything that followed. But what if Reiner had agreed to retreat? At first glance, the obvious outcome is that Marley executes Reiner, Annie, and Bertolt for abandoning Marcel, then sends a new warrior unit to Paradis in a few years. After all, Marley needs the Founding Titan and the island’s natural resources to maintain its empire. One setback wouldn’t stop them. But let’s push this scenario even further-what if Marley abandoned its plans to capture the Founding Titan altogether? What if Marley never attacked Paradis?

Fun fact: Carla's legs weren't actually broken, she said this so Eren and Mikasa wouldn't waste time trying to save her. We can see her legs are perfectly fine when she's being picked up by Dina.

This is a pretty big plot hole in the main story. The attack titan doesn't have the power to communicate with past ROYALS, only other attack titan holders. So he should have had no way to command Dina years into the past (not just when he's currently touching her, which is fine, just not the time traveling version)

What if Reiner ate Eren out of desperation as he couldn't capture him do he made the hard choice to eat Eren and obtained the Attack and Founder Titan for himself. This could be at some point during the clash of Titans arc. Most likely during Eren and Reiners first fight where instead of capturing Eren Reiner just straight up dates him.
Morale of the story, having good parents can save the world!
