Given the affordability and availability of Seiko Snxs, have you considered replacing the broken watch with a new one, versus going through the hassle and uncertainty of fixing the watch? I constantly face the temptation of replacing mine because of scratch mark caused with constant changing of bracelet. 😅 Can share your thoughts?

This is my first proper watch and I feel great about the purchase! It's beautiful and I love it!

great my style (diver watches)...Fossil has a pretty similar watch (GMT),too and it's bigger..which I like better...the "Harry Potter" pointer tips look a little "immature" on the Seiko,but cool watch!

I love this watch and I changed out the strap to a Vario Royal leather strap. It's the undisputed comfort champion in my collection.

The most difficult is to remove the battery old connector... You have to lift it up, if you pull it with the battery it breaks (then you will just loose a lot of time to remove it, it might be more easy to cut the cables and solder them...)

I liked this model watch so much that I bought the black model, the SSK001. The blue one here in the above video is the SSK003. Its MSRP is $475 but be smart and search for a lot lower price. I am a good shopper and my total cost was just $250 including free shipping and no BS sales tax. I hate paying taxes. Once I receive it I will update my post here.

I think your $429 must be in US dollars though its not mentioned. In Singapore dollars, its $579. And there is a 9 percent GST to add on. So the final cost is $631. Even with the 8 percent discount, you still pay more than the overseas customers. Feel so disappointed in the pricing. Why is it selling locally could up more expensive than for overseas buyers? Overseas customers even have free shipping so it gives an impression this watch could be sold at around S$550. Why Singaporean customers don't have this pricing? Would be good to hear an explanation. The watch is nice and certainly has a classy look. I think the strap is better. What may be a problem is the batteries. It looks cumbersome to change and I wonder if other watch shops will deal with this as you need to take the whole watch face out of the frame. If you choose to do it yourself, there is a risk of scratching the watch. So is there a dedicated after sales service for this? Changing batteries may cost way more at watch shops in this case.
