I have one in this colourway, only just got it. Worn it for around 15 or 16 hours so far… I have quite hairy, 190mm or so wrist… haven’t had a single hair pull. I love this watch!
This is an amazing and very thorough review! I saw this watch on sale too and thought about buying it. I also like the Coke model more than the other colorways, but that black plastic ring just annoys me and my perfectionist brain too much. Nonetheless, great video and keep up the great work!
Hi Ashley! Just found your channel and i love your approach with watches. I've wanted to purchase a Q Timex (etiher the quartz or the GMT) since its release but I've always had the feeling that it might just become another bambino (a watch I have that I dont ever wear). After I've seen it in person in a boutique, I'm relieved that I didn't pull the trigger because it was a bit underwhelming.
Interesting watch review video, comprehensively and nicely done!! Sorry, but I am not a fan of that particular Timex. I realise the Timex very is different to my Casio Duros, but if I wanted a Pepsi bezel on a watch, I would simply buy another Duro with those colours and mod it with an after market sapphire crystal, and a solid stainless steel bracelet.Look forward to your next video with that Timex! Cheers Mike
@@ashleytee Just gotten the SNXS79 as well. Absolutely blown away by the quality you can get for this little money. i just wished it has a better movement with hand winding. Even though I've already have the Sarb033, just couldn't resist getting this beauty. I guess one can never have enough Seikos 😄
Really good review. I'd get it but as a Father and sole prodivder, it is out of my price range. I went with an Invicta Coke. $76 and NH35 is a bargain. I love Timex and own two but they're too expensive for me. Wish I made more.
Been waiting for this video, thank you for this review.. Since I was interested in this watch but decided on the SNXS,. at least this video has fulfilled my curiosity about this watch. 👍🏻😂 Btw, the SNXS still looks fine even on my 19.5 cm wrist..
Great review, Ma'am! I enjoy your format. I have a lot of respect for Timex (I love my Weekender Chrono), but after watching your review this one just doesn't do anything for me. I'm glad you called Timex out for that odd black plastic ring under the bezel. Also, I don't like the acrylic "crystal" either, but it's not a deal breaker for me. But what it gets down to is that I have other divers I would grab before this one. (My fave is my Orient Titan ... or Neptune ... or whatever the heck folks call it now.) I think an M79 in my collection would just get neglected. I do agree with you that the Coke is better than the Batman.
Hey Keith, thanks for the feedback! And thanks for introducing the Orient watches. I'm still pretty new in this whole watch thing; so it's interesting to know a lot of watches that I had no idea about.
Life is too short for buyer's remorse. Just use it and get your money's worth. I have a Rolex that is partially 18K gold but I've never worn it since I'm worried about bumping it. But a $100+ watch...you don't even have to worry about.
The bracelet looks similar to casio A168/158. The moving part should able to lock after adjust to fix the size of ur wrist so it won't move any where if it were exactly same as those casio. But not sure for this timex.
50M WR just means that it WILL withstand that amount of pressure; usually, watches rated for 50M with stop working between 75-100, and will fail completely not long afterwards. The reason people are advised not to dive with 50M WR is because they often make mistakes like pushing buttons while submerged, or leaving the crown extended. If you do this, water will get into the movement. Secondly, some watch brands test their watches more vigorously than others. Lastly, you also have to take into account not only water pressure from depth, but also body movement; fast swimming / harsh, rapid arm movements increase the pressure on the seals. Also, you shouldn't wash your hands or shower with ANY amount of WR, because water that is HOT can damage the gasket inside, which will spoil the water resistance. There is a TH-cam video of this Swedish couple who puts various watches into a pressure tank, and keep filming until the watch explodes. It's hard to watch if you're a watch lover, LOL. EDIT: A lot of the WR rating depends on how new or old the gaskets inside the watch are. The older the watch gets, the more likely the WR is to fail. Take this comment with a grain of salt; but if a reputable company lists 50M WR, then you're probably better off than with a generic / clone brand. Especially if the watch is ISO rated.
wow that's a good bargain price, i would say for your first watch - you can either go with this or the older Seiko 5s (the prices are almost the same). Most importantly you like how it looks :)

Great review. I think the watch looks fine on your wrists. Had wanted to buy this watch, but the acrylic crystal puts me off.
Thanks for watching! Yea the acrylic.. sigh 😕

Hi Girome, thanks for the comment! Fair point there, I however was attracted due to its highly discounted price!

Hi Mike, thanks for the encouraging feedback! That sounds like a cool mod, I would also get the Casio Duro if only my wrist is bigger 😪
Just ordered the Timex Q GMT batman, can't wait to receive it
nice!!! I think you will enjoy your bracelet more than mine

Hi! The jeep footage is in Yogyakarta. Thanks for the review anw. 🎉
Fun looking watch. But Miyota 8205 does not feature hacking, which is disappointing.
I love your accent.
Yeap, it's a non-serious watch definitely, quite quirky too. Thanks! It's my Malaysian accent 😅

The moving part is ok after locking it, but somehow it felt a bit difficult to put it on. But maybe I need more time to get use to it
Like your videos very much!
