For me the avata 2 is more just for fun, but you can capture some pretty cool shots with it. Now if you already have something like the mini 4 pro, then the air 3 isn't going to give you a whole lot more, and the experience will be very similar, where as the avata 2 would be completely different. But if I had to pick between the air 3 or the avata 2 I would get the air 3 because it has so much more features, plus 2 cameras. Also the avata and the avata 2 aren't good in the wind, because if the drone is tilted to counter the wind so is the horizon in you shot. On the other hand, I've flown my mini 4 pro in 30 km/hr winds and you could barely notice.

That's odd, does it just not let you add it? Or if it's not tracking the POI, it could be that the individual waypoints aren't set to track the POI.

Yes, this will work with the RCN2, just make sure to have the latest version of the DJI fly app on whatever you're connecting to the RCN2.

@@CreateandKaptivate I haven't even seen a test with the RCN2 with integrated Goggles on TH-cam. only with rcn. But thank you very much for the information.

I think buying the goggles alone is a bit expensive just to use with the mini 4 pro. But it does give you the FPV option. I think buying the avata2 combo is more value for your money. That being said, if I had to choose between the avata 2 or the mini 4 pro, I would take the mini 4 pro any day, there's just so much more you can do with it.

@CreateandKaptivate let say the goggles drop in price how cheaper would the goggle have to be in order to justify the purchase.

If you really want to have the FPV option, I would just buy the goggles. Because they're new, I don't see the price dropping that much anytime soon. I would definitely do that over replacing the mini 4 pro with the avata 2.

Yeah, I hear you man. That's one of the main reasons I ended up buying the mini 4 pro. But you'd think if you have waypoints for hyperlapses, why not make it available for regular video too.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth buying the goggles by themselves. They're not cheap, and at least right now, you can't use most of the mini 4 pro features with the goggles. I bought the Avata 2 combo, so now I have the Avata 2, plus I have the option to use the goggles with my mini 4 pro. I figured that was more worth it, but only if you actually want something like the Avata 2.

I totally agree with you, you'll get far more value out of the mini 4 pro. I would choose it any day over the Avata2, especially for travelling. Now if you were going to get the Avata2, I would recommend the fly more combo with 3 batteries. That way you get everything you would need fly it, with extra batteries and a carrying case, and it would be much cheaper than buying things separately.

I don't find much difference between my goggles3 display and my goggles integra display. I think the goggles integra are actually really good. The one downside is they use O3 transmission and the newer drones are using O4 which is what the goggle3 use.

That's awesome, glad you're enjoying it. And I totally think you made the right decision. The Avata2 gives you a totally different experience, and you have the option to fly the mini 4 pro with the goggles.

Ya me too. I got the goggles 2 for my fpv drones and I wanted to buy the mini 4 pro for some diversity and cant believe i can't use the goggles and RC2 together....

Yeah I was surprised too, I'm sure there's a lot of people out there that would appreciate that option.

Great to hear, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! As for your question, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the drone will still respond to tilting the controller when you're using the joystick. So that may cause it to rotate even if you're just flying straight up or down.

So I am not actually paired between the motion control and the drone, seems to be in paring mode but not making the connection

If you haven't already, try putting the drone goggles and motion controller into pairing mode all together by holding the power button on each of them until they go into pairing mode. I find that works most of the time. Otherwise I would try using the DJI Fly app.

@@CreateandKaptivate yes that definitely worked, after you paired the motion controller with the drone, I see you are using the motion controller to control the drone with the googles resting on your forehead, are those googles on or off while you’re using the motion controller? I’m starting to think it’s the motion controller? the RC2 has no issues, thanks for your replies! :)

I agree, it would just be awesome if we got the intelligent flight modes.

After owning both the mini 3 pro and the mini 4 pro, you do get a fair bit more with mini 4 pro. Things like active track and waypoints, if that's stuff you're interested in. The mini 3 pro is also a very good drone and the video quality is quite comparable.

The controller won't get a GPS signal without being connected to the drone. If the controller is connected to wifi, the maps should be available. If you were doing something like setting up waypoints.

@@CreateandKaptivate thanks for your response, very odd as the RC is connected to my wifi, it just doesnt seem to get a GPS signal without being connected to the drone, oh well I was still able to plan out my waypoint mission before getting it in the air. please check out my video its short i would be curious to know your expert opinion. Haha yeah, that's a good way to put it.

The obstacle avoidance does work, you have all the same settings that you would normally with the RC2 controller. The intelligent flight modes is something it doesn't currently have. I hope more features are made available in the future. I agree, buying the goggles alone for this purpose is a high price to pay. To me it only made sense because I bought the Avata2 and got the goggles with that combo.

I run into that same issue with my Avata, and I agree it can be quite annoying. But the mini 4 pro doesn't have that issue. Because it has a 3 axis gimbal, it can keep the horizon level even when the drone is tilted to counter the wind.

The goggles integra and motion controller 2 will work with the mini 4 pro. I have video on it. I just wasn't able to use the goggles integra with the mini 4 pro and rc2 controller.

I think that has happened to me before, but I'm not sure why. Just to be sure I tried it again, so I just powered on my RC2 controller by itself. I was connected to wifi so I waited for it to update the map and show my location, I then selected the waypoint icon, went to the map and was able to start adding waypoints. I don't think there are any specific setting related to this and I do have the latest firmware on my RC2 controller.

Yeah, that would be nice to see. You can use the goggles2 with the mini 3 pro and motion controller, so you'd think it they could add support for the RC2 controller.

Unfortunately no loop de loops, but you can fly through tight spaces far better than using the controller screen, but you also need to be careful because you don't have a lot of protection for the gimbal or the props.

The actual hyperlapse doesn't have that stutter. It was caused in editing, because I didn't properly match the frame rate of my timeline to the framerate of the hyperlapse. My timeline was 24fps and the hyperlaspes are 25fps, so they're losing a frame every second.

Yes that's correct when using a point of interest. Where the POI is set, is the location on the horizontal plane, and the altitude sets the location on the vertical axis and it's that point that the camera will keep in the center of the frame. If you're not using a POI then the gimbal tilt, and rotation of the drone can be manually set at each waypoint.
