Mini 4 Pro - Freewell Filters Mega Pack Full Review
Wow! You’re a master of waypoints! This is the best video, packed with so much knowledge. Honestly, I’ll need to watch it a few more times-maybe then my brain will finally get it, especially the dolly effect! Unfortunately, there is no option to CONTINUE flight on signal lost. They have cancelled that :( Now there are 3 possibilities: RTH, hoover or landing.
Clear explanation, thank you for that. But with the option "signal lost" I can only choose from RTH, Hover and Land but Continue is not there. Is that because of another setting? I have chosen all updates but from the day I bought it, Oct 2024, that option was not there. Do you have an answer for me, I hope so. Thank you.
Thanks for the video… I fly in the winter time in Detroit and wondered how cold it could actually work in! never thought that cold
Cameras pan, drones yaw. Your camera wasn't moving, your drone was. A drone with a camera is a drone, not a flying camera. If you set the hyperlapse to a longer time before you start, you get a battery message that you just hit ok on and it will stop and RTH when it hits the RTH level. This completely negates your +1 second thing you mention twice. Your preference for 1 second+ exposure also does not improve the quality of the shots. This entire video you skirt around the yaw drift issue, and your intro shows your solution is quick cuts with tons of shots but you never say that in the video.
Someone could help me. I have a Avata 2, when I tried to flight it I got a warning "Connected to DJI FLY on outdoor". How can I fix it?
That's amazing. Thank you very much. The dolly one is great. You are very clever indeed. Cheers
Can I plan hyperlapse without the drone being in the air (at home, or on the controller)? That would be a massive feature.
Great clip..thanks. Air 3S but my mini4 does it too. Courselock..Wobble Wobble.. Have you any fix for the wobbles? th-cam.com/video/UpRytsZ9T9s/w-d-xo.html
You are a very patient teacher.
Thanks, I hope you found it helpful!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. As others have said it is the best video I have seen on hyper lapse settings and the examples helped me tremendously!
That's Awesome! Glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it👍
Thanks!
You bet!
Hi why is the screen on the controller at the bottom? I have Size XL hands and they would always cover it what with the sticks being at the top too Thus rendering the screen useless for me
Haha, yeah that's good point. Maybe have something like a flip up screen instead, so your hands won't get in the way.
Do you know how to insert waypoints between existing ones?
No, I actually don't know of a way to insert waypoints. But it would be a nice option to have.
Thank you so much for the video. It is very helpful for me to learn. I did exactly the steps you outlined and was able to repeat all the results with only three attempts - I start at the site first, followed up with a home set up, and then go to the site again. Struggled on the file saving process during the home set up. I finally figured out the difference between "save" and "save as". I simply use "save as" to create a new file and then delete the old file to make sure I do not get confused with so many different versions of waypoint files. It appears that "save" does not update the file's time and date but save the modifications made to it?
That's great to hear! I'm glad you were able to use the video to re-create some of these shots. Also with the "save and "save as" I don't think I tested it as in depth as you you did, that's good to know. Thanks for the comment!
Were there a lot of no-fly zones in Cancun? Or is it relatively free to fly?
I mainly flew around our resort and had no issues there. I think at some of the more tourist type locations you might not be able to fly. But it would be worth looking into, I think even the maps on the DJI Fly app might give some indication.
Please make review about different ND Filter 8,16,32 & 64 sir
For the most part you are choosing an ND filter to control your exposure at a desired shutter speed, but that is a good idea for a quick video, just to explain how to do that, and some settings you might want to change as well. I appreciate the comment!
Very useful, thank you.
I'm glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the comment👍
perfect!! thank you.
You're very welcome!
I'm sitting in my car right now preparing to hyperlapse. I sometimes struggle to get the movement smooth so I come here to check for additional tips. Lo-and-behold, I see the city I'm trying to shoot! Great work!
Hahaha that's awesome! I'm glad you came across the video, and hopefully things went well for you.
Which one is currently used in Ukraine battlefield?
The ones paid for by American taxpayers.
I don't know what is being used, and really I have no interest in drones being used for that intent.
Hi Happy 2025. I’m totally new in the drone world and I just bought one for me and my son. I’d like to know how did you recorded your voice with image when you were walking outside. Thx !!!
Happy 2025 to you too! To get the voice recording, I recorded the audio with a DJI mic that I was wearing. Then I had to sync the audio and video in editing.
Thank you!!!
The vid and the explanation is great. But when I tried to repeat that with my Mini4pro I realized that the Zoom property simply no longer seems to work. In a DJI forum I also found the confirmation that it had been removed from the waypoint software with Version App: 1.13.0. Mini 4 Pro: 1.00.0500 That's really very very sad and I'm kind of upset about that removal
I just thought I'd mention this, If you look back in the comments on this video. There were people having an issue with the zoom not working. This was several months ago so maybe it has been totally removed since then, but they were running into the issue because they were using 4k 60fps. I was always using 4k 30fps which they said also worked for them but using 60fps would not work.
@@CreateandKaptivate Thank you, and I confirm that this is correct. With 4K60 the zoom did not work, but today I tried 4K30 and it worked! So everything's fine. Did a vertigo finally. Thanks onca again.
Good to hear, I'm glad it worked for you!
By far the best choice still in 2025
Agreed, still my first choice.
Incrível! Muito obrigado por compartilhar, já comprei o meu em breve vou testar.
You're very welcome! Good Luck, and have fun😊
Brbrbrbroooo!! Thank you. I turn on all the devices and my adhd kicks on with the motors. Man thank you
Haha that's funny, sounds a little like me. Thanks for the comment!
Great video amazing amount of information, Thank you very much for you hard work creating this video, My wife and I have enjoyed watching many of your videos. All very well done. Very clear and detailed. Thank you again. Subscribed.
Wow, that's awesome! I'm glad to hear you and your wife enjoyed what the videos. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it😊
Do you use a wide angle lens on this particular video?
No, just the regular lens. Maybe an ND filter but nothing that alters the FOV.
Very well presented. I’ve seen many Hyperlapse tutorials but by far yours is the best and I even learned something new about how to set up a flight path and then see where it ends with the red dot. I’ve never seen that mentioned anywhere. I can’t wait to try some of the things I learned in tonight’s missions.
That's great to hear! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully some of that stuff worked out for you. Thanks for the comment!
What about the mini 3? Looking for a budget one and I find the 4 is double the cost almost.
I'm sure the mini 3 is a quality drone. I had the mini 3 pro and the photo and video quality was comparable to the mini 4 pro. The biggest difference is the features you get.
If I was walking along a sidewalk with all that ice and talking to a drone, there's no doubt in my mind I would slip and fall... Now that would make a hilarious video! hahaha Oh, and heck yea, the Mini 4 Pro is still worth buying in 2025.. No question... Awesome review, man..
When you live in a place you have snow 6-8 months of the year you get good at walking around ice. Lol Yeah there was no question in my mind, of course the Mini 4 Pro is still worth buying. I appreciate the comment buddy!
Great video! I’ve had my mini 4 pro for almost a year. It’s my first drone ever and i was so nervous at first but it is ideal for beginners. The more I use it and the more situations i use it in, the more comfortable i get and the better I become too. I’ve used in on multiple trips I’ve been on and it’s so convenient to travel with. It really has so many features that make it so much easier to use. I’m excited to see if the mini 5 pro really does come out in April as has been rumored but even if it doesn’t, I think the mini 4 pro will still be an excellent drone to have.
It will certainly be interesting to see what the mini 5 pro will offer, but like you said the mini 4 pro has so many feature already and is really an excellent drone. Thanks for the comment!
Giving me an option to bail out after 30 seconds with the answer to the title of your video made me watch the whole thing. Very sneaky and well done video!
Power move, for sure.
Haha that's great! Glad you decided to watch the whole thing. I appreciate the comment.
Can you attach a phone to a sun shade on rc2 while someone’s using googles. Fly while watching phone. That way you can let a person that’s not experienced fly to enjoy googles 3
With the goggles 3 you can share the goggles screen to a mobile device for some else to view.
Wow, truly stunning footage! 💪 I just subscribed to your channel - your work is incredibly inspiring, and I love how you capture such unique perspectives. I’ve been filming with the DJI Mini 4 and recently started sharing some cinematic drone videos on my own channel as well. Feel free to check it out if you’d like - keep up the great work, your channel is amazing, and I’m sure it will grow fast!😃 Nice!
Wow thanks! I really appreciate the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and good luck with your video making 😊
This Waypoint information is just what I needed, thanks Mark for this great content. I'm filming a building site of 6 properties being built over 18months and I'm planning to fly the drone on the same path over that time period so the final video will be the houses being built in one shot with a couple of orbits around the site. .
I'm glad you found this video helpful, and that sound like a pretty cool project you're working on. Good luck with it!
Excellent explanation, to the point and easy to understand! Cheers
That's good to hear, I appreciate the comment! Cheers
MP4 owner here...at 5:44 you have the collision sensors facing the outside of the case. I turn mine 180` because I found out the hard way how those two sensors seem to be quite fragile. Great video as always.
Thanks for the tip! I actually never thought of that, I just thought it fit better the other way. I'll have to take your advice and protect those sensors.
🎉😊😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Excellent video, and cracking shots. You've taken waypoint flying to the next level. Subbed
That's great to hear, I appreciate the comment👍 I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and hopefully it gave you some ideas.
This is great, thanks. The only catch is, you can't use cruise control if spotlight is tracking a moving subject. You have to draw the box, then move the drone a bit, until the box changes from a tracking box to a position marker. If you try to activate cruise control before you have a position marker established, it will tell you "cruise control not available". Spotlight seems pretty reliable once the position marker is set, even if it is just a undistinguished patch of ground or something. Too bad you can't use the spotlight/cruise control combined technique with moving subjects...but spotlight often loses moving subjects anyway, so maybe that would just lead to frustration.
Yeah I think you're right, the only option you have for orbiting moving subjects is Spotlight. At least you can still manually control the radius and height of the orbit while Spotlight is active.
At 18:29 you said, "That's everything with controller calibration. Getting out of those......". How did you do to get out of that calibration full BLACK screen?
You can use the back button on the goggles to exit out of the controller calibration, but I found if I did I wasn't able to start the motors until I powered down the controller and powered it back up.
When you view the motion controller tutorial, and you get to the START button, how can I quit the tutorial and go back to the camera view? I see no other option than START. It appears the only way out of this screen is to start the tutorial and step through each screen to the end. This can be pretty scary while flying if you're looking at changing a setting and you accidentally stumble into the tutorial screen, and you can't get out of it to SEE where you're flying. It takes a minute to complete the tutorial. There must be a way to quit the tutorial at any time, and go back, or ESC to get back to camera view. Am I right?
You are right, on both accounts. I agree there should be a way to exit out of the tutorial, but I don't think you can. I had to try it out again just to see, and I could go back to the START but I could not exit the tutorial once I entered it.
I was not just helpful but believe me this video was a very clear description of the WAYPOINT feature. I just bought Mini 4 Pro today in Pakistan and starting watching your tutorials... BEST BEST BEST video
That's great to hear! I'm glad you found the video helpful, and hopefully it helps you get started with your new Mini 4 Pro. Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it.👍
Thank you, as everyone else has said, this is a fantastic tutorial better than anything else I have found! Much appreciated.
Wow, that's really awesome to hear! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for the comment👍
Thanks for the video. Impressive conditions.
Yes, it was pretty extreme conditions, and it certainly handled it better than I expected.
What software do you use for editing your videos and photos?
I use Davinci Resolve for my editing. Mainly because I don't do a lot of photo editing, and it's a very good video editor.
Thank you. I noticed when you opend the maps it was already in your location, and appeared to show your controler location without any GPS. When I open the maps its in a totaly different country?
You know, I'm not really sure why yours would be opening in a totally different location. I suspect the controller must have GPS or something to know it's location, because after you've taken off if you have moved from the initial home point you can then set the home point to your new location, which would be the location of the controller.
Lure the best. I subscribed. Very clear coverage!
I appreciate that, thanks for the comment!
Hi, I’m new to your channel. How about a Long term review on the mini 4 pro? Haven’t seen anything really in over half a year. Is it still worth buying? Thank you
That's a good suggestion, I might actually do a long term review on the Mini 4 Pro. But to answer your question, yes I think the Mini 4 Pro is still worth buying.
@@CreateandKaptivateTBH this waypoint feature alone make wants me to pull the trigger on this thing. Great tutorial for this feature. Thank you
Thank u.this is very infrmative.how can i view my recordings?
I think the best way to view your recordings would be to download them to a computer. You can do that by connecting the drone to a computer using a USB cable. Otherwise you can go into the Main Menu and under Album you can view your recordings.
