Yes, as i said before, can totally agree to tom's explanations bout the v60 Diesel. Love my v60 D4 model year 2019, such a relaxed and smooth car to drive. Recently i had the chance to do the 24h test drive of the EX 30 here in Germany. Have to say its not that bad. Of course it is a very small car, made for only two adults obviously, and the interior's quality is not the luxury kind. But the suspension and driving comfort is quite good. So are the comfy seats in the front. No software problems. Nice to drive even on german Autobahn. Not so good: loading time, high price, the right driver's knee is threatened by the sharp edge of the middle console.

Had an MY22 XC60 B4 diesel before I got an MY24 XC60 T6 Black Edition. The diesel was great on road trip but annoying as a daily commuter - too noisy and rough especially when cold.

hey, do you think Volvo will ever update XC90? And if yes, will Volvo ever consider a V6 engine? Personally I don't see how they can compete with GLE and X5 with limited power output.

I went to the same story for about 1-1/2 year. I just get called by my dealer saying that Volvo issued a new technical bulletin and parts and they will change something related to the Airbag (finger crossed !)

I also have the vibration symptom fix in my XC40. It really changes the vibration and around 100km an hour it vibrates less. But a you say, the steering is nerveus at more different speeds. Really stupid solution.

Still have the vibration here too, MY24 xc40 twin plus. Have you ever noticed that when you loosen up the steering wheel tightener, there’s no vibration. I really think this is front the front axil…

My MY2025 EX40 (just took delivery a week ago) showed me a propulsion system error and then a day later, the gear wouldn't shift into neither D nor R. Not exactly off to a great start. :-/

Any news when the 2025 EX30 will be available? It has been stated the US EX30 won’t be available until that release.

I've heard that the firmware 3.1.2 has big issue with MY2024 where the car won't shift into drive. Hope there'll be fix coming soon.

Oh my, this C40 vibration is hilarious. Volvo trying to fix the symptoms instead of the actual problem causing it. I still have my (vibrating) C40 and I frankly gave up on hoping for a solution

What is next step about the vibration?

Am so disappointed with my 1 1/2 year old C40, I love the driving experience (mostly) but the infotainment system is beyond awful, I spend most of my time trying to get it to reconnect to the web, even using my phone as a hotspot doesn’t help and every time I reboot the system something else fails, like losing gps) or Spotify locking up. On top of that I regularly have the tailgate either open or close when I don’t want it too. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put an automatic sensor in a car that by design would regularly have cables trailing across the back end for charging should be forced to go round and apologise to every c40 owner in person! Beyond any doubt by far the worst new car I’ve ever had

Hello from Malaysia! My C40 has vibration issues and it took me 4 trips to the service center to get Volvo Malaysia to approve the repair. I was told there’s a Technical Journal (TJ) on this vibration issue and Volvo has released revised front axles with different part number. My repair is scheduled next week, will report back if it fixes the issue

Hej. Avseende skakningar i bilen för XC40 MY23 levererade hösten 2022. Nu har vi kört 70 mil på alla typer av vägar med de nya sommardäcken och vi har fått en "ny" bil. Eftersom vi köpt bilen var jag tvungen byta (betala) däcken själv, men jag tycker att det borde gå på garantin. tidigare post nedan. Uppdatering! Nu har vi sommardäck på bilen, Michelin Primacy 4 fram och Michelin E Primacy bak. Vi fick betala det själva med en rabatt på 30% på däcken (nettonoll) för bolaget. Vilken skillnad, på nylagd asfalt (60 km/h) var det helt ljudlöst och inga vibrationer. Provade sedan på sämre asfalt upp till 120 km/h och kunde inte känna de tidigare vibrationerna. Efter att ha kört 200 mil sedan kraftbalanseringen så blev de tidigare däcken faktiskt bättre även inom området 105-115 men de vibrerade ändå fortfarande, men det var ändå värt bytet. De nya däcken har 7 mm mönsterdjup men de gamla däcken har 6,7 - 7 mm mönsterdjup kvar trots att vi kört 2 500 mil med dem. Jag sparade de gamla däcken för upp till 100 km/h var det inga vibrationer, så de åker väl på när de nya tagit slut om 4-5 år?! Men att det var däcken som orsakade vibrationerna är jag övertygad om. Felaktig konstruktionen, men nya däck av samma märke och typ vibrerar inte, det har jag provkört, de har annan konstruktion av mönstret.

I tried a V60 D4 (so not a hybrid) as a loaner car (when my own V60 went through "Volvo surgery"), and found it very impressive. Smooth, torqey and economical. My T6 Recharge is acceptable frugal, but the D4 was in a totally different league in that regard.

I think diesels are not selling well. Also, push for diesels in EU was for carbon pollution reduction but nitrogen oxide pollution ended up outweighing and benefits from efficiency. EVs are best, no?

Sorry to hear Volvo can’t find root cause of vibration. Have 28,000 miles on my 2023 XC40 Recharge and no vibration.

Excellent points. How do you feel about the driver assist features? I found them to be quite bad.. lane change was super slow, ACC was very jerky as well as lane keeping. Was it just the model I drove or did you have the same experience?

How do you turn off eco mode in the new ones? We've got one as a rental in SW Florida. It's annoying and hot as balls when the AC shuts off at every stop sign and street light

I have a XC60 T6 in 18 Months I haved 27,000 Km with an average consumption of 1.9 L per 100km. Which is excellent. I mainly charge at home at about 12c per KwHr. Thats almost 150 MPG UK. 123 MPG US. When I run out of battery, I get about 40 MPG UK which is 7L per 100km

Unfortunately, I' ve been informed that it will arrive at late of August and it will be from China. I was dissapointed. I dont know what to do. Should I cancel the order or not?

After watching your video, I went out with a full battery and tried to see what I could get out of the battery before the engine kicked in… I managed 46 miles then the engine started, so it must have been using the reserve, range at the start was 40 … impressed, and surprised how much electric the air conditioning uses 😳 , loving the car…

On my XC60 T6 MY24 - the max electric range I managed to get was 88km. I drive gently usually. And 1000 km on the full tank, with empty battery.

If I understand right, the Volvo service center can make service and repair on Lynk 01? Anyone that know the price for a service in Sweden.

Good video. My 2022 XC60 T8 Recharge with the 18.8 kWh battery pack gets between 36 and 40 miles. Are there any changes in the set up on the 2024 models you are aware of because I definitely cannot get the 45-48 miles you see. Thanks!

We have owned our XC60 T8 Recharge 24yr model with extended 3 layer battery for 7 months and from day one we achieve an average of only 26 miles (42km) instead of 48 miles. That is with heating and A/C off! After a few trips over 5 months to the dealer, Volvo remotely diagnosed that we had some faulty cells (cells having a high resistance) requiring a replacement battery. We have been chasing Volvo daily with the assistance of the dealer as they still haven’t given us a date when a battery will be available let alone when it can then be installed into our car. In the interim we are having to rely on the very thirsty petrol engine. The worst thing is, it still cost us the same to fully charge the battery, it just depletes much quicker than it should and sometimes having fully charged the battery we go to drive it the next morning to find it has zero charge. 😢 You have now given us range envy 😂

Rain is a range killer! Did you also shut down the high voltage electric heater in the climate settings ? This also makes a difference.

40 miles is as much range as my battery degraded Nissan LEAF 2012.

Great Test Condition's 👍 I'll get 42-43 miles~68-70 Km on mine, if I keep the heat on very low or No A/C, & also staying under 55-mph~88-Km/h. Noting eats Range faster that shown, like driving in the 70-Mph~110=Km/h for me. WAS That a Yellow EX30 I saw @ 5:42? Nice ! ... ( Love your Videos 😀 )

Ik haal met mijn V60 T8 met zelfde batterij zelfs 84 km elektrisch in de zomer maar in de winter blijft er maar 60 km over. Wat mij verbaasd is dat het bezine verbruik wanneer de batterij leeg is enorm mee valt. Op een rit vanuit Duitsland met 150-160 km/h gemiddeld verbruik van 7.6 l op 100 km. Test dat ook eens met de XC60 zou ik zeggen.

The comment thread for this video makes me very happy! I own a 2017 Hyundai Sonata p h e v that also has the ability to charge its battery with the engine while driving. Always wanted to know the pros and cons and the Nitty Gritty math involved in determining its efficiency
