I had a lot of fun doing a short test run on some banked 90° corners on a nearby road with the new suspension. custom swift spring rates 8k/10k front/rear and will definitely add swaybars in the future.

Accord 2.0t - Worlds first 10 second 60-130 run!
มุมมอง 10K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone, Went out to try for a new PB on the Accord in the 60-130. As you can see in the video - the short shift to 7th at ~120 is a real killer. But this puts the car as the #1 on Dragy leaderboards for 60-130, and the first 10 second Accord. Car is FBO including a MHI "Stage 2" upgraded Type-r Turbo, custom IMW Tune by "DRob" and on E26 flex. Still on the heavy OEM wheels with OEM 235 mi...

How’s the ride compared to stock? I honestly hate the stock bouncy ride and was thinking going silvers to fix it. Thoughts? Thanks man
@@Mc88Flyy not sure with traditional springs, but swifts are pretty harsh and lean towards a track type ride. If you want something close to stock but less floaty - Tein Flex-Z ride great. I used to have those and haven't heard any complaints about ride quality from anyone I've recommended them to. Silvers though, 2 of 3 people who got them changed them out after a year or so
lightweigjt wheels makes car faster in 60mph around 1sec.
How much hp are you pushing? What setup are you running?
@@JremV should be around 415ish whp I'd guess. RV6 660 drop in, drilled fuel line, ported fuel rail, ported intake manifold and on E30
That big turbo don't hit like stock
@@bobthebuilder2526how do you get the drilled fuel line and ported manifold? Custom fab?
@@bobthebuilder2526not bad I’m at 564whp with that turbo @29psi but on fk8
@@FK8_Dude mine peaks 29 but holds 27.5 makes me wonder what it would Dyno
How much horses do you think your pushing? I got one too and idk what to do with it. I'm thinking full exhaust, downpipe, front pipe, intake. I want abt 300 hp.
@@gayratman92 that will get you to your target, go for it
how did you get the mph display, mine only does kilometers
@@exxy_ it's a 22. 21-22 model years show digital speed all the time
Does this car have mounts or control arm bushings there was no wheel hop and that take off was extremely smooth
@@Zforpres hasport mounts yes. Was on some lighter than stock 19x9.5 wheels and 265 Indy 500s as well
I don't get this, what is this supposed to do exactly? Is this quick acceleration from second gear or what?
Did you break boost this run?
Nope, just rolling into it to avoid any wheel spin
Топ 🎉
Front wheels set up any info and drop
It was a 17x9.5 rpf1 and an olddd Mickey Thompson ET street that was pretty dry rotted. Dropped 2+ inches on some tein flex-z coils
I have a question what is the point of break boosting is it because of the turbo lag.. i thought the 2.0 has very very very tiny lag
Yes, with the stock turbo it's not a big difference. But it makes it feel more like a naturally aspirated engine when doing it.
@@bobthebuilder2526 what do you think I should buy first for my engine just to protect it if it has been tuned
@@Kevquacked switch to 5-30 synthetic for your oil changes
@@bobthebuilder2526 should I do that right away?
I just looked that up it says it protects inside the engine doesn't regular oil for the accord do the same bro?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
These things run great on ethanol. It’s just a shame we can’t feed them enough with the factory fuel setup. E30-E40 is great, but E85-E90 would be much better. 😁
You could still use e85
@@Kevquacked No, you can’t run full E85 with the stock fuel system on these engines. The fuel pump doesn’t supply enough volume. You can only run around ~35% ethanol safely.
@kennethpowers8995 truee.. but you could use flexfuel kit though
@@Kevquacked Well you need the flex fuel kit to run ethanol period that way when you tune the ecu knows what the ethanol content is and changes over the fuel and timing maps. But regardless if you fill the tank up with just straight E85 you’re going to be super lean because there just isn’t enough fuel system to supply the volume of fuel needed on full E. It takes ~35-40% more fuel for a given horsepower level on ethanol vs gasoline and the cam driven HPFP just can’t keep up with the fuel demands. The flex kit will do its thing for any combination of gasoline up to about a 40% mix but any more than that flex fuel or not you would start to lean out.
@kennethpowers8995 ahh i understand now thank youu. I just got my 2.0t today bro! It's very customize but used.. how will I know if my car is tuned or not because when I'm on eco and floor it I spin like crazy! But when I watch other TH-cam videos it's allt slower than mines so I was wondering if there's any way I can check if my car has been tuned.
395whp on a mustang dyno. But the 100 octane tune is where it shined, I never got to make a video on race gas
missing your content man
Oh man. I'll try and post and update vid in the meantime, it's gonna be awhile before racing season
It blows my mind the number of people talking in this comment section complaining about the k20c4 saying the j35 was better when probably 90% of them have never owned or driven an accord in the first place. The only problem I have with the 10th gen compared to my old 8th gen is the delay when you step on it. It's got more power and it's definitely quicker, but it just lacks the immediacy of a naturally aspirated engine even if N/A is slower. Personally I find the 10th gen less fun to drive, except for maybe passing on the interstate.
Wait so these transmissions can’t be tuned? Bummer. Is it Honda designed?
So far, no tune. Trans and the TCU are Honda made. But Honda treats the trans and TCU as a single part, so when warrantied they both go back to Honda. We have a similar issue on the ECU side with the HPFP pressure control solenoid which means we can use type-r pumps either. Sadly...but we'll see if someone figures it out
@@bobthebuilder2526 ya it always takes time. They couldn’t crack the GM/Camaro 10 speed for a while either but they figured it out eventually
@@mike88wt exactly. But companies we've inquired with have all passed on it so far. Even with ~20 guaranteed in a group buy concept.
This video is exactly what I needed to see thank you
What is your wheel and tire setup cause I’m trying to go with a meaty setup like this
Sorry to come back to this after 2 years but what was the tire ?
Indy 500s. 265/35 on aftermarket 19x9.5 wheels
@@bobthebuilder2526 god damn thats a big tire. Thanks ! Hooking with fwd on street tires is hard so i respect that
What mods do you have on it?
Catless downpipe, intercooler, charge pipes, upper/lower tq mounts, intake and flex kit
What does “slip” off the brake mean and can I do this in a 1.5T
You should definitely NOT do this with a CVT
What tires did you have on this thing?
It was the OEM wheels and tires MXM4 or whatever they are
2 атмы? пизда мотору!
He sounds like Kip off Napoleon Dynamite I’m sorry 😭
What’s top speed
Definetly works on 6sp mt 👍👍
Bro go get some gas for Christ sake mate
A good set of Summer tires will solve most of the problems. Honda's 10-speed automatic is good for 350 ft lb of torque. Acura TLX Type S 10-speed is good for 450 ft pounds of torque. They are the same transmission however the internals are heat-treated in the Type-S. Just a basic K tuned Accord will yield you 360 ft lb of torque. So without a limited slip or all-wheel drive there's not much you can do other than to feather it out as you go.
What mods do you have done
Full bolt ons minus front pipe. On the MHI "Stage 2" turbo and tuned on E30. No other fueling stuff besides the flex sensor and PTFE lines that are ethanol safe
You still like them? Ride quality still good?
Yeah, still enjoying them. Ride softened up a bit after about 3k miles but not much change
@@bobthebuilder2526 ok cool thanks man
If I launch it in 2nd will it shift automatically into 3rd or do I have to use paddles? Thanks !
It still auto upshifts
How much power to wheels
With the setup in the video it would be around 270-280 whp
Can you do the full 160??
Most likely. No speed limiter but I will never find out, to be honest
Is the turbo jb or bb?
Journal bearing like the OEM fk8 and accord stock turbos
hey man awesome video! I was wondering if you're using any camber kit with these coilovers? I ordered mine but not sure what to pair them with
Thank you sir. I ended up getting a J-power aluminum set for the rear off eBay. Cheaper than eibachs version
@@bobthebuilder2526hey so I finally got mine installed today but there’s clunking noise coming from the front end of them. That and whenever I’m braking to come to a stop I get this sound almost like a bag of air hissing out. The shop I took my car too said that’s normal but I don’t think it is lol. Any suggestions
Bro your car is fire can't wait to see you upgrade that turbo I hear you can upgrade it with the type r turbo
Thank you. Check some newer videos, I upgraded the turbo quite some time ago
What’s the wheel set up I’ve got a similar tune but I’m spinning on 40 rolls
Why do you start it off in second gear for ?
Second can build a little more boost than first, and is a bit more consistent. You can also launch in first gear if you'd like
I like it
What's the steps?
Did you watch the video he explains it right there
You don’t necessarily have to be in sport to break boost…. Shoot you can break boost on eco! Just have to learn how to drive your car!!
Dear GOD
Confirmed this works on 6 speed! Cool.
How do you do it? Every time I try to apply brake pressure the gas pedal response dies.
Stock tires?
Oof pushing my memory. I think was 265/35/19 Indy 500s but was really cold considering a summer tire
Well, opened app fully to make sure and watching again.
Only In Mexico 🇲🇽
Thanks! Will definitely try this next time I'm in Mexico.

Would G37 beat this car?
