@@bobthebuilder2526 same here. Stock tires obviously suck. Punching it below 40 is spin city lol. Probably tires would be the best mod I could do next ha then flex fuel. Did you feel a lot from the DP? Thanks.
@@justinlunsford3590 it was a long time ago, but the car seemed to enjoy it. Quicker response and more power up top. I would say lighter wheels and wide summer tires is one of the best mods you can do on these. Then dp/flex/intercooler are all pretty equal in my book.
Nice video, I'm very interested in this turbo upgraded , which type of engine oil are you using and brand? And will this mhi stage 2 turbo work with stage 4 pherable tune?
No it will not, once you get a type-r style or aftermarket turbo you need a custom tune. I've been using 5-30 for awhile now, usually just Pennzoil and 4k mile change intervals
I like it a lot. Since right now is winter and some snow driving, it's actually so much easier to drive in those conditions since the car isn't make torque instantly. Regular stuff though, I do not miss the low end torque. It was all and instant hit and flat. Now it just keeps on pulling and boost for boost between the two setups this still makes more power everywhere, just slightly slower spool
You should check my most recent upload, that is with tuning all completed and pretty noticable difference in power. this one was the first revision on flex
@@bobthebuilder2526 that's awesome. I've always felt that I might actually prefer the higher RPM spool day to day since I don't always want to be getting into boost all the time. I figure it might make driving more chill + controlled when I want it to be, and crazy fun when I want to go fast Also, your latest video: sheeeesh 🥵
So a couple questions. what fuel type are you using and how does flex fuel affect the acceleration? Also did you install different intake/exhaust? im new to car mods so I have no idea what Im doing.
No worries man, we all have to take the plunge to learn some time. It's on pump 93/flex fuel. This is a 26-28% Ethanol content. The accord is nice because there's a good flex sensor/tuning solution, but not so great because we have a hard fuel limit around 400-430 whp. I had the downpipe and front pipe, and then PRL intake and inlet kit, but the rest of the exhaust is stock.
@@bobthebuilder2526 Is there a point on using a flex fuel kit even if flex fuel isnt offered in my area? does the flex fuel sensor help with power regardless of fuel type?
@@FruitSaladHD not really, it's all about levels. If you have a ktuner stg2 file then the change for flex is at 25% content. Save the $450 or whatever it costs now.
I did install myself. I went back to IMW for the tune, as he did my car on stock turbo already and it worked great. I went with the stage 2 because it's larger than the type r turbo. The stg2 is not capped based on flow, but fuel instead on the accords currently. When some fueling options are available, got the turbo and airflow to take advantage.
@@bobthebuilder2526please explain more about how it’s capped on fueling what does that mean specifically i’m sorry plz breakdown the science i am trying to not just know what makes the car fast but to understand and learn thank you 🙏🏿
@@sol1229 I'm using 100% of the OEM Honda low and high pressure fuel pumps. To go beyond what is in the video you need some porting of the hard line and injector rail but that doesn't get you much farther. Only option for the accord is auxiliary fueling like port injection or methanol injection but both of those are directly controlled by the ECU which means they are higher risk
Honestly I think the electric power steering hides 90% of what you would expect. If you don't steer into it, there's none. Some countersteer needed if it spins but you definitely aren't fighting the wheel like an older fwd car
Nice pull! Can't wait to see it dialed in. You're over 1 sec faster than my stock turbo Phearable stage 3 tune. Very nice.
Thanks! I'm right there with you. Can't wait for winter to end and get some traction again!!
