Doing this is more stressful to the transmission. Do not sit on the brake and throttle for extended periods.
This is the same method a mechanic would do to stress test an automatic transmission. A good one should be able to hold the rpm steady at the stall point for 20seconds.

A good set of Summer tires will solve most of the problems. Honda's 10-speed automatic is good for 350 ft lb of torque. Acura TLX Type S 10-speed is good for 450 ft pounds of torque. They are the same transmission however the internals are heat-treated in the Type-S. Just a basic K tuned Accord will yield you 360 ft lb of torque. So without a limited slip or all-wheel drive there's not much you can do other than to feather it out as you go.

@@3Pedal_Accord I started having axle issues that I didn’t fix right away on my 9th gen Sport 6MT. Needless to say, I didn’t launch from a dead stop/dig, but a quick 1-2 shift at redline GRENADED my transmission. Pieces of axle and transmission are strewn about, and gear oil/trans fluid is tossed everywhere. ☠️☠️☠️☠️
Surprisingly, I religiously changed my gear oil/MTF almost every single engine oil change, so the gearbox didn’t have much issues besides your typical K series Honda/Acura MT problems (gear lockout, grinding synchronizers). It was actually severe wheel hop that most likely led to the eventual axle issues. I remember driving super aggressively a lot during wet road conditions (it was fun LOL), and it would wheel hop like MAD, banging off of the limiter shifting at redline 1st all the way through 4th.

It blows my mind the number of people talking in this comment section complaining about the k20c4 saying the j35 was better when probably 90% of them have never owned or driven an accord in the first place. The only problem I have with the 10th gen compared to my old 8th gen is the delay when you step on it. It's got more power and it's definitely quicker, but it just lacks the immediacy of a naturally aspirated engine even if N/A is slower. Personally I find the 10th gen less fun to drive, except for maybe passing on the interstate.
