@@thecombatmechanic7631 I ran stock 440 impeller and pump. I didn’t install a bearing support brace either. Stock intake grate. I tried a top loader and it made it worse. Probably because the impeller couldn’t move the water. Pump as all stock. Hope that answers your question?!

What computer are you using?

They are both great and fun to drive. My son daily drives the RX8 and its outlasted all of his friends cars. He's put 80k on it. Flawless. Especially when you're handy with a wrench. The LandRover has the Ford/Jag 4.4 V8. It's actually the most reliable one. Hint. Paid a lot less than you mentioned for both! I 100% agree with your comment! Cheers brother.

Really depends how cold... Usually 10 mins is enough to warm the engine. Id still keep it lower in the RPM's for an extra 10 mins or so. Id use a lighter weight oil in the winter though. Helps lubricate things "quicker". Anyways, 10-15 mins is a good amount of warm-up time.

Thats awesome to hear! I picked up the SPX on a trade for one of my old drones. My daughter was getting tired of her Waverunner 500, so I upgraded her. lol. I never thought id own another Sea-doo.... This little thing rips pretty good for an older ski. Fixed a few simple things and everything works perfect. Going to go through the carbs tonight. Slight mid-range hesitation.. Just a tad. I appreciate you looking out for my motor. lol You can run a ski without water for almost a min. I usually cut it after 20-30 seconds. I build these motors. Do a little research and you'll figure it out. Only hook water to flush salt water, wWinterize or if you need to run it for more than a few mins. Its actually bad to run it on a hose for a long period of time because the carbon seal on driveshaft heats up. Need to be in the lake to cool that. Do a quick google search. Im guessing you don't have a lot of experience with these 2 stroke skis?! Cheers.

@StefanMailey gps or stock speedometer? The speedo on the skis are never accurate

@@jeffbryner5355 GPS on gopro 11. I raced a stock 90hp Seadoo Spark. He topped out at 50mph on his digital speedo and I was able to slowly walk by him. So it seemed accurate. Most 717;s in the XP/SPX X4 hull hit 50-52mph. Ill have a video out soon. lol

@StefanMailey lol awesome! Well if that's the case then my superjet must be running 50 because I was right next to the gsx x4 hull. My ski is 100 stock except a solas super camber impeller off my waveblaster lol. Either my ski is doing good or my buddy's isn't lmao!!

I don't have the motor anymore. I sold it to a fisherman. You;ll need to get it on the water and adjust your high speed screw. I adjusted it every time I put it in the lake. You should be at least 1 turn out to start with. Then go from there. 1/8 turns at a time.

I haven't played with a 2.5 before. Im guessing it's the same motor with smaller pistons. Twins usually produce smoother power and don't have to work as hard. They all use a single carb and are very reliable. If you have decent compression. All you'll need to do is keep the points clean and keep an eye on your coil packs. They get moisture in them and start to crack. Replacement parts are super cheap.

@@rainerneumeister5239 No problem. Its a great trolling motor and seems kinds quick for what it it. I was running it on a very small/light boat though. lol. Id expect 5/6mph on a 10,12 foot boat. This boat was about 8feet long. flat bottom.

@@StefanMailey ok. Do you think the 2.5 would be powerful enough for a 9 foot inflatable( weight only 30 kg.) Id like to get 7.5 -8 or miles per hr.

@@rainerneumeister5239 If the motor runs good. You should have no problem seeing that kind of speed. 2.4hp is like a 5hp 4stroke.

@@jeffbryner5355 lol. I couldn’t pass up the deal. I always said, if I were to ever get another seadoo. I would only get the X4 hull. Best hull they ever made. To date. 717 puts out 85hp. Great power to weight. My daughter will be spanking all the Sparks on the lake. 😂 it’s actually a 95XP x4 in sheep’s clothing.

@StefanMailey haha yeah the x4 hull is nice. A racer buddy had a 96 xp x4 that he had running about 61 with a built 787. Took the same engine and put it in a 97 hull with the shock seat and is running 65 on gps and is still racing it this year. I like the 97 and up better myself but the x4 is a great hull. A hell of alot better then there plastic crap they have now lol. I think if I was to buy a seadoo ever it would be a hx. I'm a blaster fan and that's the closest they will ever have to a b1

She'll be spanking the stock Sparks, all over the lake! lol. Now I have a Kawasaki X2, Yamaha SN Superjet and...... a stupid Seadoo (x4 hull) lol. Just need a Blaster.

@StefanMailey hahaha yeah it will be plenty to have fun on. B1 in the us typically go from 1500 ragged to 6k with a tripple swap. Average is about 3k for a nice stock 701

Usually you’ll have a switch on the bottom of pedal to reverse the polarity. If not. Try holding your foot down in pedal and turn on controller.
