  • I installed a set of Seadog drain plugs and sealed up a bunch of known ares that take on water in the tray. I managed to spend the winter with a shop vac and fans. Drying out the foam.

I just re did the foam on my superjet. It had some cracks under the turf at the back of tje tray and the foam was soaked. It froze and warped the tray so I cut everything out. I do have autobody experience so it was terrible for me but it's a process for sure. The foam removal sucks the most lol. If and when you do go to do it. I ordered everything from us composites foam and epoxy resin with 1708 matting. That ski is smc and not fiberglass if you or anyone reading this is not aware. Fiberglass resin won't bond to the smc and you will be redoing it. I just pealed off the fiberglass repair the previous owner did lol. Just make sure you order epoxy 675 resin if you use us composite brand. It worked good and they have all the 2 part foam and resin you will need for the job

I had to do some fiberglass work on my X2. I don’t mind it as I’m use to working in boat hulls. I was planning to refoam the SuperJet but.. after drilling the plug holes. The foam was pretty dry. Dry enough that I didn’t want to cut the tray open. If it gets worse. I’ll do a refoam 100%. It’s a lot of work though, eh?! 😂

@@StefanMailey sure the heck is lol. I started in October and finished about 3 weeks ago but with that said I was saving for funds and I added foot holds. I also repaired 2 bad areas in the engine bay area amd reinforced the nose and engine bay area and only having lunch and some weekends to work on it lol.
