Why would you want to leave the tank boots loose? They always have pressure in them on a hot day and you pull the cap. You roll it over with a full tank and its gonna flood the engine bay with gas and if you dont notice your gonna start it and its gonna catch on fire.
I guess I didn’t elaborate. The ski won’t be going into the water for another month. I don’t run the reserve/on/off switch. Which allows the tank to not explode from heat. When I actually fill it with fuel in a month from now. I will tighten them. Cheers!
It also doesn’t have a check valve. Which usually pop at about 3-5psi. Saving the tank. I have another 500. The same ski. With fuel selector deleted. The tank cracked due to pressure during storage. Since my fuel selector is deleted. I usually just crack the gas fill cap a tad when it’s on the trailer.
