I don't play with any of the Extra Deck trash, or within archetypes that consist of card name running themes and textbox references across the majority of cards in the deck. You guys are building entire decks, just to maybe play 80% of it in the first turn, causing for games to be over in a few moments. You aren't playing a card game, you're drawing a revolver before the other guy as the sun rises, hoping to be quickest on the trigger. It's silly that so many of you hoist up the game being fast as an ideal environment for playing what's basically a strategy game, where every card was carefully decided upon. All the testing you guys do with your decks, what's the point of even playing the game if it's over so quickly?

My problem is that it’s Yugioh and not an actually good card game. Master Duel is about the best lemonade you’ll make from rotten lemons. Turn length is out of hand in this game, to the point that I think the remaining players are just addicts or losers.

People that argue that they "NEED Maxx C going 2nd or they lose" I ask you this. What if you go 2nd and your opponent who went 1st uses Maxx C while already having an established board..... It's literally a lose lose situation if you don't get a board up you die and if you special summon you also die Maxx C is broken and makes the game boring.

I think you look at it too much as a yugioh player Reason why pokemon tcg packs sell more is because it's a normie friendly game And yugioh is a game liked by die hards And die hards arent buying packs cause they want the certain meta relevant decks

People in the general dont enjoy it The fans who like the tcg were gonna play it regardless Nothing changed only diehards still play yugioh

Modern games do suck though stop coping zoomie. I've bought my fair share of indies and they still don't fill that void. I actually went as far as to buy a PS2 and I've spent more time using it than I ever did playing games on my PC or PS4, or even my Switch. I bought Read Dead Redemption 2 and got bored of it after 20 minutes. There's a million indieshit Metroidvanias, and not ONE of them is even close to being as good as SOTN. Not even Bloodstained comes close lol.

I would say no I can deal with Ash Blossom Maxx C is much worse and every time I see a player activating Maxx C, I surrender because it's not worth it Ash Blossom is not that bad at all

Metalfoes/ABC/Paleo format is the greatest format of all time, and my favorite decks there aren’t even those three, it’s stuff like toad hero, dark synchro and metalfoes yang zing, extremely fun decks to play that can compete with the best decks because the best decks in this format focus more on consistency and grind game than high ceiling endboards. P.S. metalfoes is way cooler (to play and to play against) than any of the 4 decks in TOSS

I'm playing swoso, but even then, i'm mostly summoning qixing over baronne. 2 interruption is better than one.Baronne is not needed really. As well as apollo. Yubel and snake eyes would be interesting without apollo. That shit still has 5 to 6 interruption without apollo, but with apollo they just ruin everything.

So did some research: The OCG leaves Structure Deck untranslated (literally ストラクチャーデッキ Sutorakuchā Dekki) Which means that the Tactical Try Deck is meant to be a more competitively viable deck out the get go. If this does well that will likely lead to 3 preconstructed series: Starter Deck - which teaches the player about the game and usually comes bundled with a new mechanic, these are the lowest power Structure Deck - which usually have some specific gameplan or theme to them (Machina, Traptrix, etc) which CAN be powerful but still usually require 3 copies to play optimally And the Tactical Try decks - which are competitive builds in terms of ratios and can be played with only one copy

Silver/ gold fir at of master duel a glob of poorly build constructed and just about Learnt structure decks that do impossible to predict shit in an entertaining way is obviously the best Tier 1 decks shouldn’t be any lower than diamond

To many cards being generic and not based on their archetype

As a somewhat new and returnee player, I've able to make 1 semi competitive deck with just my starting gems (salamangreat) in MD which is pretty nice. And I still have swordsouls structure deck waiting to developed, although I'm gonna build my Rescue-Ace Kurikara deck (I got lucky pulling the kurikara card from master packs) first before tweaking my swordsouls deck. Oh, and one more thing, there's no rotation in YGO which is a blessing and a curse at the same time.

The card shop that ive gone to for 6 years stop buying yugioh as of last week saying most of there players moved to magic its definitely dying

I don't even have to watch the video to say absolutely just off the fact that the like single player stories where so basic. Once I played the world legacy story I didn't even want any more to release because it was so uninteresting the way they covered it. Also I swear the ai in it cheats.

As a Yugioh fan I’ve beaten every yugioh game and to this day I do love that master duel keeps updating but the major issue is just a lot of people use the same decks so you’ll just have to find a way to beat those decks that’s how it’s always been.

Not Master Duel but Duel Links. My rank recently went out of Bronze...I hate everything, now! Playing ranked is pain, pure pain! Sometimes I win but like 8/10 times I lose within a couple of turns and it's just not fun! I don't want to play a game where a move takes 2 minutes and when it's finally over I'm like "oh, do I get to play, now?"

I think the game should get straight up reset at this point lol, idk if any modern format has been good.

I have not been playing yugioh long enough for me to know the answer to this question non objectively but I am smart enough to know questions like these have no real answers so I feel like it’s just going to be a bunch of nerds (myself included) arguing about which stage of paper slamming down on mats was our favorite.

Another thing i wish got big was turbo duels from yugioh 5ds ds world championship games 2009-11 spell had costs to them to make a slower format i wish that got something done with it

Master duel should have a format list for all wra of the anime goat fusion synchro xyz link where they can only use those summons but only cards until the next one was out so like edison but with some more cards then have regular rank so those people can stay away from us casuals who want to be anime characters

I play master duel mostly for nostalgic reasons. I’ve had to learn to use different decks to keep up competitively but I do miss when you could use your favorite gimmicky cards. I was way too excited when I was finally able to beat those stupid ass kashtiras with my Harpie deck

I left the game because of how Yugioh doesn’t seem to have a 2 player variant outside of special events limiting the allowable cards HEAVILY.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Modern Gaming for me IS better than in the past. Not to say every generation before this is worst. I thought the Wii/360/PS3(2005-2013) era was the greatest generation in gaming history. But gaming today is mindblowingly amazing. Some of the best indies I have ever played are Hades(Will play hades 2 some point), death's door, another crab's treasure(best indie game I have ever played), hollow knight, gato roboto, trek to yomi, enter the gungeon(still havent beaten all bosses), transistor, steamworld dig 1 and 2, darkest dungeon Cuphead Sea of Stars Dead Cells(havent finished this one yet nor played its DLC) The Vagrant Selaco Subnautica Stray Guacamelee 1 and 2(beaten both forgot to add Top 5 indie games of all time) Celeste(Beaten forgot to add) Haven(Beaten forgot to add) and many more! (Will be trying Nine Souls another indie game later this year) Also Another buggy game back in the day which was a sequel to one of my favorite games, Mercenaries 2, was so darn buggy at launch and that was early xbox 360 days.

Hope you come back eventually cause I really liked your videos, but if you’re just burnt out or something I totally understand. Hope it’s nothing serious though.

My lukewarm take was that savage did not need to get banned. It was a non Destruction negate that required a link in the graveyard to be live and only had the negate if it was synchro summoned. Baronne is a negate and destroy with no setup needed, a pop, and a generic floating effect that allowed you to summon her next turn. Apollousa and baronne have far more in common than savage especially as savage cannot even play around Nibiru and unlike apollousa can only negate 1 handtrap per turn which by the time you would summon him would have probably already been used. You can argue dragon link but dragon link will always be a problem not because of the boss monsters but the extenders and combo makers.

Yeah i’ve faced some of these cards and it is almost never fun to fight against them. Heck i surrender the moment i see some of those boss monsters sometimes. It just becomes un-fun at times with some of the decks. Like rescue ace, sky striker ace, kashtira, swordsoul, tearlaments and labyrinth, i can barely win against them. And it’s very un-fun to duel against them. Like rescue ace turbulence i feel needs to be limited or banned because its ability is just too powerful. The ability to place 4 face down spells from your deck or grave (i might be confusing the ability forgive me.) is just too powerful and if you’re playing against someone casually or don’t have the right negate or protection, you’re gonna lost.

After rejoining Yugioh at the start of last year, I have to say that Post-AGOV format was the most fun I'd had playing Yugioh in a long time.
