      I agree with you that if you are interested in specific finance jobs CFA is a way to get you interviews or promotions. This is why I am pursuing also the CFA exam as I will be taking the level 1 exam in November later this year. All the best to your level 3 exam 😊

    I am about to finish an FMVA programme and really considering the CFA but it's rather new to me because i happened to understand things late after university. Your videos always give me insight. Thank you!

    Thank you Pearlstella for sharing this video and others about your career path! I'd really appreciate your or others' thoughts about my situation. I'm currently not working in a finance field, but have a finance undergrad and just passed CFA Level 1 Aug 2022 and am studying for CFA Level 2. Do you have any insights about what employers would think about someone who is using CFA as a tool for potentially career switching? I'm honestly not sure if I'd really enjoy the work in financial analyst, investment management, or asset management roles, but I definitely still find learning about finance fascinating. My other concern is that if I did do an interview, I'm not sure how well I would do in actually making a model or whatnot. It seems the CFA is much more focused on understanding concepts than hands-on application, such as building models in Excel. As a professional, I also think that experience can really be much more beneficial for the day-to-day work than book smarts. Do you think the CFA is still worth studying if I don't have any relevant professional experience or opportunity currently to use the concepts taught? My goal is to get a job to satisfy the work experience requirement for CFA. Thank you!

    I paid $1300 for level 1 early registration ($300 off) and $800 for Schweser so it’s at least $6k for all 3

    Hello from Jerusalem 👋. I just stumbled on your video and the points you made were great. I'm going for my CMT (Passed Level 1, getting ready for Level 2) but I am also wondering if I should go ahead and study for a CFA but I don't know if it's completely worth it. If you don't mind, what are your thoughts on having both a CMT & CFA and is it worth it? Do you plan on going for a CMT after getting the CFA. I hope you pass your Level 3 exam, best of luck!

    • @pearlstella
      @pearlstella  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much and hi back from Denmark! That's a really good question. To be honest, I'm not too familiar with the CMT yet, so take my advice with a grain of salt🤗 My impression is that the CMT is focused on technical analysis within finance, whereas the CFA is broader and more general (and only teaches the basics of technical analysis), so I think whether they would both be worth it depends on your own career goals and educational background. For example if you already have a bachelors in finance and want to work on an investment team (not the advisory team), you might not need the CFA (of course it would still add value to your profile, but maybe not enough to be worth the time because you already have a lot of finance credentials). But that's just my thoughts. If you're working at a company that you want to stay at, I recommend talking to your manager and ask what they think since different companies value the CFA, CMT, and all the other designations differently. Sorry this got so long haha but I wish you all the best!🙌

      @@pearlstella Thank you so much, that makes a lot of sense . I will definitely check with them, thank you for a detailed response, this really helped me a lot because I was thinking to go for my CFA to give extra value to employers but I think I will just stick with CMT for now. You're the best and thank you for all your help. God Bless you 😃

    Hi, is there any benefit of getting a cfa if you already have a masters in finance?

    • @pearlstella
      @pearlstella  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      in my opinion, depending on what kind of jobs you're interested in, I'd say there's definitely still a benefit to taking the CFA in that case, but it probably isn't necessary :)

    Yes it's so expensive in Indian Rupee when converted. It's my dream to do CFA bt are there any additional costs of Kaplan Schweser material did u use any third material Pearl plz tell, can we cover the huge CFA official material. How could u cover along with ur full time job plz tell. Love to hear.❤️

    • @pearlstella
      @pearlstella  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      agreed it is really expensive! For all 3 levels I personally have only used the free online learning ecosystem that the CFA provides you after registering for an exam (and I've really liked it too tbh). It's a good way to save money since the third party material providers are so pricyyy. You can also try to apply for a CFA scholarship (I put a link in the description), that way you might get away with paying a lot less for the exams. Studying for the CFA exams while working has been worth it in my opinion but definitely stressful too! I wish you best of luck!!♥
