Yachts should have a helm or tiller. Who started that wheel-frenzy, they should kick him into the Dead Sea. Take that with a grain of salt, please. But a helm and an extension is great, you FEEL the rudder. Only very large rudders get too strong for a helm, then a wheel makes sense.

15:45 I think it is easier to diagnose the faults when the wires of Earthing are at one place, can trace easier and replace easier and also not confused if wire is elsewhere have to find it could be anywhere along the lines.

I’m large enough to be a actual pirate. How much time CAN you spend sailing vs. power? I looked into it, the ocean weather is way to unpredictable for just sails and a 5 horse.

Aqua drive systems with their shaft thrust bearing is the ultimate solution for reducing engine vibration- why don’t all manufacturers use them? Simple- they are expensive but worth it. The old saying “ you get what you pay for “ applies here- nice boat

We put the same thing on electric motors between pumps and other outlets that can cause shock loads. Sucks when the rubber goes out and I have to pull the motor to get the coupler out, but saved us lots of equipment.

Beautiful boat. however Propane Tank shared with AutoPilot and electrical wiring. 100% ABYC ILLEGAL and in seas , your autopilot burns out and the trickle of propane leak from bouncing and KABOOM YOUR DEAD. And when it blows up , you lose all your steering. So halfway across the Indian Ocean you can ask yourself. " Whose Idea was That anyways as you drift towards the Southern Ocean All the perfection and such a dangerous oversight.

Wood boats may be cool, but make sure you can insure it. Older boats are becoming increasingly difficult to insure. Liability insurance is a universal requirement in every port and marina in the world. I personally don't trust any of these older boats with teak decks. Just to many topside screw holes to worry about. Older boats are known to leak like seives when it rains.

my father built a 55ft double mast , retracktable keel out of steel in our backyard I have no idea what happen to boat built in Haddon Heights NJ and moored in Miami.You have a beautiful boat.
