    I think I might get fired. To give context, my was once upset I had signed up for a one-person shift, because she didn't think I could manage alone. She scoIded a lower-ranking manager for not noticing . When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt beIittIed by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. Sure, I'm a slow learner and have messed up at work before, but you got a lot of guts labeling and sha ming a guy with learning difficulties like that. And that's why I couldn't resist getting back at her. After the service that day, said manger below her rank told me to save some Danishes for her, before I throw them away. About a minute later, I'm pouring a HUGE amount of leftovers in the garbage, with a little smirk on my face (I can't always control my facial expressions). And that's when I heard my boss say, "John, what are you doing? I told [other manager] to tell you to save some danishes for me." And I stuttered and "awkwardly" said, "Oh! I-I--I forgot. I can be so dop ey at times." Here's the thing: I think she would've seen my smile, and possibly even concluded I threw away her treats on purpose. Can she fire me for that?

    My wife and I have legal services helping us with a non work related situation. My wife is the communicator with the attorneys, but the company she works for has a 'no phone usage on the floors policy.' She's gotten written up twice. But she needs to be able to communicate with the attorneys. Can her supervisor deny her communication with her attorney?

    I had dealt with a solid year of discrimination and retaliation with several hr cases and grievances with my union to note it Couldnt even get a lawyer to say they could do something about it so many hear a big company name and immediately get intimidated its literally just mgm grand no person or institution should be above accountability

Take me for example, a coworker wants to hug on me twice a day. She knows I have a girlfriend! ❤️ I've let her slide with the hugs! Now I'm afraid that, if our boss wants to talk to us both about our intimacy, we're going to face serious consequences. 😢 The man, that's me, is in a relationship! If my significant other finds out, our relationship's in dire straits! Also means I'll go back to the single days! 😟

    As a manager this is the usual corporate thing. I won two performere awards delivered by the company but got a negative evaluation anyway. I then got into an Executive education program at an Ivy League school and got a PIP that said I wasnt interested in improving myself. I then left the firm and both senior managers eventually got termed

    I’m currently a student. I see a pack of ppl talk smack about someone. Then when someone from the pack leaves, that person gets talked about. There are some people who retired. Once those people left, people went back to work and it was as if they never existed. Not once have they been remembered or mentioned.

    I was never put on a PIP, but from my experience as a computer programmer, employers can dole out projects that are so open-ended and undefined that they either don't exist, so they can't be done, or they would require deep business analysis which a programmer can't do because that would require an MBA or other Master's Degree to figure out.

    The fact of the matter is,particularly, in government, if you complain, they create a lie to force you out of the workplace . Then, everyone who is down with the agenda creates false narratives to derail your career. You have a situation where you have people who willingly perjured themselves on federal documents to support the lie. The agency is duplicatitousus in enabling the deception t. In the meantime, the victim has to p/u the pieces because no laemwyer cares, not enough money in it for them even though you have receipts. A slam duck case. The legal system is the other hand of the familiar the people who need, can't get it because it is set up to only support wealthy citizenry. Tell me how that is fair. I am dealing with a similar because mo longer wants to deal with it when it relates to federal workers.

They take your money and dump you on the side of the road. It does no good at all to file a grievance because the State Bar, investigating officers and all attorneys defending the attorney are just crooked.

    I work really hard and get positive comments from customers yet I get negative unsatisfactory reviews. Leadership doesn't respond to my questions as well as others. Almost as if I'm left to dust. Just one or two more signs and I'm quitting. The toxicity is not worth it.

    I got put on a PIP after going to corporate HR. For months I have been bullied by the bosses right-cheek ass-kisser. Yelled at and everything. For two years I’ve been working at a job where the level of stress and hostility has made me sick. I have never received reviews, verbal suggestions, nothing…Yet, I get the PIP plan. I’m telling you, this shady, so-called Christian company is going to have to fire me before they make me quit. Worst job, worst company I’ve ever worked at. And believe me, they will get the bare minimum until I do.

    This is not completely accurate. Yes, HR should protect the company but yes they also protect the employee. Some companies mismanage or misalign their HR people or depts. but that doesn’t mean that is how HR should be or what real HR. Although I can’f disagree that with some employers, HR isn’t really HR.

    At 3:54, while I agree that HR can be shameful in its lies, it's also noteworthy that some HR offices (or at least some HR generalists) are just plain incompetent. I've seen HR offices lacking in basic knowledge of admin leave, payroll processing timelines, and other separation logistics. Heck, these HR folks would love to lie and wish they had enough process and legal knowledge to do so, but, alas, the best they can do is start to run with the ball and then take a tumble.

    I had an interview with a company and we discussed my desired salary. In fact I told them that it was my current salary and I couldn’t make less than that. We ended it off at that, and soon I got a call that I was hired. I put in my two weeks. I had an exit interview with my current employer at the time. The company that hired me never sent me an offer letter. I started to panic a little… and three days before my start date they told me I they weren’t going to be able to pay me what I asked for. I’m devastated because not only am I making less, but I also am not getting a full 40 hours per week. 😭😭😭 This new place has put me in a financial emergency. I am using my savings to pay for food and rent. 😞 I had to take the job because I can’t be without work. I don’t know what to do.

    Bottom line: if sales are decreasing, they're eyeing your salary as a way of recouping money. It doesn't matter if you're the most knowledgeable person on staff. It doesn't matter how hard you work or how much time and energy you put into doing your job and doing it well. If a boss loudly proclaims "everyone is replaceable", especially if they're saying it in a tone like they specifically want YOU to hear it, then that's your sign.
