I had an interview with a company and we discussed my desired salary. In fact I told them that it was my current salary and I couldn’t make less than that. We ended it off at that, and soon I got a call that I was hired. I put in my two weeks. I had an exit interview with my current employer at the time. The company that hired me never sent me an offer letter. I started to panic a little… and three days before my start date they told me I they weren’t going to be able to pay me what I asked for. I’m devastated because not only am I making less, but I also am not getting a full 40 hours per week. 😭😭😭 This new place has put me in a financial emergency. I am using my savings to pay for food and rent. 😞 I had to take the job because I can’t be without work. I don’t know what to do.
My employer hired me without a contract, I've been working here 4 months now and still dont have a contract meanwhile another guy that started at the same time as me received a contract. If your employer doesnt give you a contract you're not really bound to any company rules except the basic conditions of employment.
Hello Ed, ai found your example very helpful. But I have a couple of lies my manager makes to me. My manager tells me white lies on my job and then months later he denied it. Then I asked him if he could verify this concern in writing, he ignored me.
My employer lied about two phones being stolen in our store. They took commission from me to pay off those phones and they didn’t notify me. I found out Two weeks after getting paid and I notify my manager right away. Once I complained they switched me from being full time to a part time employee. I am still waiting for them to tell me why they made this change since I never have any warnings written. What should I do in this case?
My current employer promised me a raise a year ago. They told me that I am in line to get my raise, but I noticed some people not in line that got a raise automatically without waiting would that be a good case?
Hello Mr. Hones, I worked for a big corporation hotel and was told I would get benefits after 30 days. I was told I would be hired as a full-time employee to find out they had me on workday as a part-time which did not qualify me for the benefits. I had to discuss this with management during my conversation with the recruiter before my start date. It took almost four months to re-establish my full-time position in the company. I feel that I was misled before working at the company and couldn’t see a doctor right away. Does my situation qualify to be in court?
In 2010 a workman's comp case was settled. The company's elevator was in disrepair causing me to fall. They denied any fracture in my foot even though I couldn't stand on it. They ordered physical therapy. From Nov 7th until Dec 15 they kept saying nothing was wrong and then I got an MRI showing 2 fractured metatarsal. Didn't get to see the orthopedic surgeon for a cast until Dec 26th. After hard cast was removed only one bone healed. I should have used a personal injury attorney rather than my divorce attorney to settle the claim. I have a permanent injury and settled for less than $9k. What do you know! The day after the settlement I was fired. They tried to deny unemployment benefits saying it was for cause. What? The Judge from the unemployment court had a phone hearing with my old boss, my attorney, and me. Everything she asked the boss only proved there not only was no cause, but that I had been performing my job to company guidelines and standards. I received the unemployment benefits. Could that be an illegal termination due to retaliation? I live in Missouri.
Is it defamation if 2 statements were written by a high ranking official in the Army in order to protect not only my then supervisor from being punished but also protecting his own career as well bc his decision directly allowed for abuse to occur? I will never be able to get hired on a military installation again bc of two statements portraying me as incompetent (tho i was credentialed in field) and claimed i was attempting to ruin my then supervisors career bc i disliked criticism. I had just made a complaint of S.A. against my immediate supervisor. That supervisor had an official transfer approved to where i was working (about 2 miles away from where he was previously stationed). I do believe my then supervisor requested the transfer in order to have access to me. He replaced a female military personnel who was lower ranking than my supervisor. So instead of 2 females working side by side it would then be my male supervisor (with a conviction) and me working together. He was transferred to my base after being found guilty of 3 counts of indecent exposure (again then was granted permission to transfer to my place of employment. I have a statement from a witness alerting the main office regarding his indescretions and substantiating the court ruling.
It's hard to really understand the laws on this, but I guess they really can get by anything to let you go, it's hard to really get the truth to why ppl are let go, 😢, don't ever work for the Amish or i forget the other one, they can get by not like the person l😂, but if you work hard show up, i really think that they should not let you go,
Can they lie to current employees about why you are trying to get them to leave too. I quit because of elder abuse and neglect, but there was also sexual harassment(reported) and an overall hostile work environment. He’s lying to them, saying “they just want you to leave, so they can get their job back.” I was told I was no longer welcome on the property. Please let me know if u need more information.
Ed, my employer said I would get a increase of a one hundred dollars towards weekly pay. I do not see it on my weekly check. Can you please help me. I live in Chicago, how would you deal with this lie that my employer is telling me. Thanks again Larry
My husband ex work place is not hiring ppl over 50 , he was 60 and he had to leave because they layed him off saying that they were slow then hired more younger people then they called him back and give him a job were he can't handle but there younger people had the easy job he had to quit and now he can't get unemployment 😢, he was the only old person in the, plant , they have a 17 year old as manager its Amish a pellet company when i called them for to see if they can get his vacation paid and a letter from them tell them to get some state aid since they decided no to the unemployment 😞 they put me down saying that they are jobs out there and he can get one tomorrow, they even did my son the someway when he was layed off they call him in for a couple days and then didn't then my son went up there and they said that no there didn't want him back, because of his attitude 😮, he didn't do anything , why did they tell him in the first place he wouldn't have did them two day when he was lay off 😔,
I went through intense workplace bullying and mobbing because I suffered a panic attack or a nervous breakdown and a concussion all in less than 1hr timeframe. I had no memory of it the next day. The manipulation tactics started from the very next day and was eventually manipulated into resignation with another neurological shock by flipping the script(think narcissism) that disoriented me and got sent out with a 50$ gift card. Took me 3 years to understand what bullet train hit me. By that time the statutory period was over. 10 years later I’m still suffering with neuromuscular issues, psychological issues with no end in sight. Suicidal thoughts homicidal thoughts, I’ve experienced it all. It’s a nightmare.
Beautiful video. But I disagree with you on one aspect. Yes. Indeed. There are certain situations where your employer can legally lie to you. But the premise of them "completely getting away with it" isn't entirely true. For instance. They may attack your character in their answer. Which may or may not be relevant to the case. However. If their answer is riddled with lies about you. They are going to have to remember each and every lie they told about you. Up to and including answering with lies on the fly whence challenged on their answer in the House. Be it in either chamber or caucas. If the matter goes to prelim, the judge may make a ruling on the spot, based on how your employer made him feel about them. If the inconsistencies about you, in your employer's answer is particularly glaring. That may be a consideration in denying a motion for summary judgment. In either case. If your employer gets swept up in their lies, it may cause mediation to fail (in your favor) since mediation is not evidence based. Both parties are assumed to be telling the truth. The judge at (prelim or chamber) will not have all the details of why caucus failed. He will know that you entered so in good faith. Once anyone files an answer with the clerk of the court, it's difficult to change your answer. As in doing so. It may make you appear suspicious. All or any of the above could leave a sour taste with the courts. If your employer has blown their credibility, it will be hard for them to sway a judge in rendering a ruling in your favor. Once again. Thank you for the wonderful video.
Unless you have it in writing, its not a lie. Make sure you get everything in writing or in email, spoken agreements mean nothing in the corporate world.
its not about the employer lie to you, its about what happens when the lying does not end, the only thing any employer is concerned about is money, if someone is a worker what he or she could be worried about first work then money, so mostly even in the history employees won when this kind of drastic conflicts happened, employees if they are workers are always smarter than employers
Corporations tend to be the biggest lairs. Corporations are powerful and have too much money to cover things up. I've worked for several Corporations..... such greedy and money hungry people who want more than just free taxes. Whether you have a degree or not and are working for a corporation, they always lie. Learned this the hard way.
Sir sir plz sir my family is at stake 🙏 I need a conversation about what my employer has been doing to me and my wife I mean the lies he said are to messed up he changed everything on us whenever I was trying to get my wife mental health help because of everything he is doing to her I live in Pennsylvania
At will is advantagios to the company. Unions should be supported by law, to make employment relationship more equal.

Glad I found your channel for many reasons. I’m not a fan of the union concept but I wish there was a place sales people could go when mislead.

You should talk to a lawyer near you and tell them the whole story.
😱
What about slander and libel?

You keep saying the more we hold them accountable when in actuality the laws are not enough to hold them accountable

@@Renee-wy1po they still can based on if they feel you make them feel insecure
Really great video

Can they lie about giving you a raise to take on a new role and give you less than the promised raise?
Unless you have it in writing, its not a lie. Make sure you get everything in writing or in email, spoken agreements mean nothing in the corporate world.
What about the basis of the phone (fraud) call about a the conditions of restraining order, which was a lie that ultered the conditions of employment.

Classified psychologists can get to the bottom of distermination and abuse by a boss or a management worker by a hate crime
