Wow. I just got stuck doing mine. Im absolutely fucking furious. It stuck on 5 slow blinks followed by 7 fast. I had to remove the sd card and battery and the camera just did not work.... but the LED was blinking differently. I put the SD into the computer (mac) and deleted the 'private' folder thats on there when you format the card in camera and also ran 'first aid' on it in disk utility. Put that in and it worked fairly quickly. I noticed the blinking getting quicker and different........ But it felt really horrible and I almost punched the wall which would have ended up with me in hospital. Really did not feel good gambling? on updating a £2000 body. In theory I think it might be better to do it tethered with a USB cable because SDs can easily get corrupted when you remove them from a computer. That was awful. Really awful.

I've had lots of people reach out asking specifically about the flash that I use as part of my kit so thought I'd add in a bit more detail here. I use the Godox AD200Pro which is a great off-camera flash. Lots of power when needed and battery lasts forever. For diffusion I use the MagMod MagGrip and MagSphere which is the funny looking attachment on the top of the flash.

DO NOT INSTALL 3.02 ...IMMEDIATELY AFTER INSTALLING 3.02, THE A7IV COULD NO LONGER CONNECT TO MY MACBOOK. Sony said...we'll take care of it. Send it to Precision Camera. NOW, Precision Camera is trying to charge me over $600 ..."usb issue on main pcb...BULL-LONEY. The camera literally worked perfectly up until the day I installed 3.02. (Also: did it in camera with Creator's App. It was a mistake using Creator's App)...3.02 broke the camera's ability to access mass storage. BTW The camera is 16 months old. This "quality and customer service" I can do without.

It's great that it is a fantastic lens, (and great vid by the way), but for the life of me, I can't find anyone specifically saying the words that it is "fantastic" on a 61mp sensor. Can you attest to this? Or has your stance on it's performance come from using lower res cameras?

I just rented an FX3 this afternoon, and I’ve been up past midnight trying to manually set the aperture, the ISO and the white balance. Are there certain steps I need to take before it will let me set them to my specifications?

When you are exporting the images are they in DNG format? If so can you show how to edit in photoshop then convert to DNG?

Hello! I just tried to update my Sony a7iv to the newest firmware. I did everything right. I checked that I had version 1.05 installed, that my battery was sufficiently charged, and that I had the right BODYDATA file in the right size on my otherwise empty SD card. After reading the warnings I clicked on execute and my camera went black. Nothing happened since then. No blinking lights no sound no nothing my camera is totally bricked even though I did everything strictly according to the manual on updating your firmware. I already tried the power cycle procedure and I tried inserting different batteries just to be sure. I do not know what to do next... I got this message on the display ”The update file version is incorrect. When I go to version it says that I have version 2.01 but I dont know if I can trust that? Please help me what to do. I don’t know if the suggestion in this video will solve the problem?

Even though the camera is a small one being a FF but what about FF lenses? Big , bulky,expensive! That defeats the purpose of photography being fun. Lots out there are shifting to fuji and olympus because of these reasons. And this camera wont change the photography as such. Fuji and olympus systems will! And these systems make photography fun!

Hi I can see you used it with flesh I had the standard A7 body’s in the past this only horse down to 1/160 with flesh mode. Is that the lowest shutter speed with flesh? Thank you
