This is the RC Nuts TH-cam Channel. We are not affiliated with Rc Nuts hobby shop and can not recommend going there. The Wallace's live in Florence, Oregon, right at the sand dunes. The sand dunes are in our blood. We are nuts about RC's, and sand dunes. We're nuts about how we drive them, how fast we build them, and nuts about the obsession we have. Axial's, a Vanquish, and a few doggies went out to play on the big rocks that get moved every day from the tide here on the Oregon Coast. We are playing just at the stop sign on S Jetty Rd in Florence, OR. It's where the Siuslaw river meets the Pacific Ocean.

AK RC Products made us a front ribbed tire to try out. It has its benefits, but its not enough to want to keep it on. Playing in the sand is completely different than on dirt, gravel, or street. XRT with XLX2 speed run

While we were out with the DBXL-E 2.0, we also were curious on how much faster the Traxxas XRT was going to be. We have changed out the system to the Castle XLX2 esc and 1100kv motor. We've done this change in XMaxx's dozens of times, weather for ourself our customers. It makes the Xmaxx want to flip over and more uncontrollable than stock. I have the hoss it is a nice truck but for the money in my opinion u should get better gears and upgraded shocks servo etc., I've upgraded about everything on it except the motor (V2 stock) expect to be working on it or taking it to the shop, I am considering the MT10 has great reviews
The sand is really slow and it can’t get up though
The second you jump or take it in rapids it will flip and the plastic will break. Mines glued together in like 10 spots. Awesome boat but not built strong enough.
I have one of these and they tip over easily in a river setting and as a matter of FACT the first time it flipped upside-down, none of the lights work. POS.
Nice i use long nose pliars for meshing tight the spur and gear use and the round dot and the métal bar and sqeese it screw White holding it Nice paint job
I doubt it was overloaded, we using these for electric Skateboard ratings and we put way more loads on them without fails, that antispark bs will be the closest thing to have this happen after 50% power..

Is it annoying to clean the car after all that salt? How thorough do you go with the cleaning
I dont go in the salt water, I use a garden hose and air compressor, then put it on my air dryer for a day it's it's like new. No rust.

Both RC4WD rims and tires.
Did you ever dial in what paddles to run? Like brand of wheel and tire?
I just stuck with the knobbies, but the proline beadlock are the best for staying together, they just rob to much top end power.

make your paddel tire..3D...print a re.cap..tread....bond it to that nobby ...rite on top .....or make that tire on the bike a snow spike tread...use it in the sand.......just saying...
The 3d printed paddles were from akrc products, I do not have a 3d printer, I would just get the proline paddle if I wanted another one, but I like the 7 paddle 3d printed tire. I really dont use it much in the sand anymore because the sand gets in the gyro and has to be taken apart and cleaned out too much.

Hey you guys showed a Losi mini cooper in RC girls vid. It had a bmw logo etched on the chassis. Can you tell me who did the etching? Cool shop btw. I’ll make sure and stop by next time I’m out there.
It's factory. Comes from losi like that, they didn't make very many mini Cooper losi 5ives. They were originally fuel injected 2 stroke then carbureted. This one was converted to electric. I dont recommend going to the shop because it's not our shop anymore. It's a very sad story. We do have a video of the losi in the sand in one of our dbxle 100mph in the sand videos.

Yes sir they do make more powerful lipos man smc max amps and hv Onyx 9800 mah lipos way more powerful then those...but nice run
I've had bad luck with smc lipos in the past. I have never been a fan of max amps, but I haven't tried onyx high voltage yet.

Gotta watch running those battery cables outside of the intended routing through the exhaust as the suspension can allow the tires to chew your batter wires up. If your running the spektrum batteries they fit perfectly however ive seen people use other batteries with a lil dremmel work and can still tuck them away. I love my Promoto! By far the best release this year and I rank it up there with the Xmaxx as far as must have RCs!!! Best wishes!!! 💯

Yes, they are the 40 series boggers, cut with rc4wd aluminum poison spider rims. By far, the best wheel and tire set up I've used on the scx6!
