​@megamikethemovieman I don't remember the original Japanese version. But in the US version the American goofballs took out Japanese footage and inserted American filmed footage with Raymond Burr. It's important because it was the first But the Japanese version has to be a massive improvement.

@megamikethemovieman I have an Arab movie on VHS titled Arisalah about the prophet Muhammad and in the making of they show the horses practicing how to "act" when they get hit with a spear and also how to fall down safe to the horseman. It's really neat to see animals "acting".

I'm pre-ordering 10 new horror movies from Severin so I doubt there's gonna be any deal. But I think Severin is having a sale of it's common titles. But after buying those 10 new titles I doubt I'll have any money left for anything else!🤑

@@Topgamer-nz7sd I’m exactly the same too. I wish they would have released the steelbooks and slipcover options at the same time so we could choose between. The steelbook looks expensive anyway these days. Do you usually go for slips or steelbooks if you have both available?

@ for the most part it depends on my finances, of I feel like I can swing the steelbooks I buy the steelbooks otherwise I just buy the slipcovers.

@ idk just being such a huge success show back in the 90s makes me feel like it could be sold out. Everything remotely cool does. Then it ends up on eBay or fb marketplace for double and triple the price

@@matthewgaudet4064 Ya Best Buy has been unfortunately out on physical media for about a year now. So I think Walmart and BN are last to stronghold for new major releases. But online shopping is nice too. I get a lot from Amazon.

@megamikethemovieman alright. Severin has released a ton of horror movies. And usually theirs are a lot better than Vinegar Syndrome's but they're usually more expensive too.🤑

@@TallPaulInKy Great points!! I hope there will be some kind of players out there at least second hand market if mine breaks. Do you already have 4K player backups?

I just picked up a Sony x700 UHD Blu-ray player from my local Goodwill for $14.99. It is in mint condition and works well. It is a backup just in case my Panasonic UB-420 breaks or starts acting up.

@@megamikethemovieman , amazing. The Technicolor sequences are out of this world. The only quibble is the opening sequence doesn't come from the negative the sepia, but once it switches to Oz and full color it blew me away. Its easily one of the best old movie scans I've ever seen on a 4K disc. Revelatory.

@ They should be available online or like at a Best Buy (hoping they still have them) But worst comes to worst Amazon for sure. They’re usually $150+ but they might be on sale for Black Friday.

@ Gateway horror would be like PG-13 Horror and under like Gremlins, The Gate. I guess horror for most of the family you could say.

@@soshiderek Absolutely! Both are physical media. So I think it’s great for them to have combinations like that. I wonder if they mix in the movies with the books in some areas of the store or do you think it’s better to always keep them separate?

Definitely defined sections and collections. Thank goodness normal books still exist!

@ Demolition Man is probably the most tempting for me!! I just remember it being a ton of fun.
