Hi Ed, I am a 62 year old widow from New Mexico and I am no longer working. I decided to make an appt. with social security and apply for survivor benefits.My spouse was the highest earner during our 34 years of marriage.My appointment was set for August 2024,are there any specific questions I should be addressing during my appointment in Aug.that can assist me in receiving the highest monthly amount from my husband's social security. Can you address what options I have for dental and vision coverage if I have only A, B and G?

Are California state employees who are 100% vested and covered by Calpers, offered a plan similar with the same benefits for coverage, like the plan N as you mentioned, which is a private plan? Or do you have a choice, only, between the Calpers plans they have available, such as an Advantage plan, approved and covered 100% by Calpers, and other covered, Calpers approved offerings? Seems the private plan N is not in the lineup as an offering through Calpers. Thank you for everything.

I am already retired at 62 y/o and receiving pension 500 plus dollars a month. When i reach my FRA at 67 do i get my 100% pension? Is SSA will increase my pension currently? Thank you.

If I retire early at 62, I would be limited on how much I can make every year. Will that limitations go away when I reach my full retirement?

Yea I got my statement about 10 yrs ago and noticed 00. For year. It turns out it was everyone was missing that on their statements

I found out that illegals coming into Georgia back in 2009 under Obama would only have to shake there head yes if there head or back hurt And drawing 4000 a month!!! I worked all my life and only get 1309 SSDI!!! SUCH A DISCRACE!!! I was self employed paid Federal income taxes too on a million dollar business I'm asking for a review but they keep blowing me off or rude!!! I said you work for me!! My husband still owns a business paying taxes!!!

Hi Ed. Love your vids and will be 62 on July 1st. I retired from the California Department of Corrections at 55 and also work part time at Lowes. My total gross is about $85k between retirement and Lowes. I also fall under the WEP provision when ever I take social security. If I have this right, because my current gross is over $22,320 will SS take even more from me in addition to the WEP provision? Thanks for your service. Always wanted to be a Marine or Ranger myself. Hello Ed; 60 year old.based on the social security account my number to retire at 67 is based on my highest 35 years of earnings if I continue working making the same amount for the next 7 years.If that’s correct how much does my number change if I quit my full time job at 63 and work partime until 67 earning half of my original salary. Still claiming at 67. How do I see or figure out actual number that I would receive at 67. That would be 4 years making one third1/3 of my current salary. Making 150 now,number at SS says 3800 at 67 but if retired to part time guessing 50 a year for 4 years. How do I plan for a better accurate number at 67. Thank you

Ed, I can't find this info in your videos. My husband is working until full retirement age 66 and 8 mo., this year November, and although we will both be full retirement age, I started collecting S.S. at 62 years old during Covid to take care of my mom who was in hospice care. My question is since I started SS early at 62 am I still eligible to collect survivor's benefits should (God forbid) my husband die before I do? My husband's benefit much larger than mine.

I fall into the $ 1,300.00 per month category...😭. Since my husband passed away. My husband and i also drove long haul semi truck and i also worked as a cashier at grocery stores. We brought home in the 80's $ 1,500.00 per week driving semi truck. In the last 4 years of my husbands life he was reduced to $ 600.00 per month, because he had a stroke and became disabled. I became disabled in 2003 due to my stroke. I was receiving $ 800.00 then. When my husband passed away i was getting his survivor benefits of $ 600.00 (because he was on disability the last 4 years of his live), but the government also took $200.00 per month off of MY disability check. I need help with transportation to and from doctor offices to getting groceries to running errands once per month. Most of my friends have now passed away, that used to help me with that.

They stopped that program in April of this year. I live in NJ. Then sometimes they take 30.00 off your bill and sometimes they weren’t. Then they said we have a free phone. It wasn’t free and they started charging me a monthly bill. I called and canceled but they said I couldn’t cancel. They were taking money out of my account

👋 I’m new here. I just applied for survivor benefits on my ex husband who is recently deceased. I am 59 and a disabled veteran. I was denied survivor benefits being told by the SSA agent that SSA does not recognize a disabled veteran, disabled according to SSA and will have to wait until I am 60 to file. (She just found that out that very morning of our appointment 🤨) Is this correct? Please help.

SS will not look in suspension file they claim you have to prove. I had actual worker. An still have not been able to get copies of my taxes from irs prior to 2000 which are missing and some wrong
