Hi Ed, I’m disabled and checked my SSA earnings. My last year has a zero but I made a decent paycheck. I contacted SSA about the missing last year omitted last year salary. SSA stated it would not affect my benefits. What do you think?
Last year? 2023? It might be too early. But even if it doesn't affect your benefits, it should be recorded correctly.
Is the Social Security admin required to give me the history on my late husband's income, his last statement if you will, before he died, IF I ask them for it? I need to go through it and make sure the numbers are correct. I do have a statement from 2010, but that was six years before he passed. So 6 years of work was missing.
I would definitely request it. It should be freedom of information act.
Are Crossing Guards considered gig workers? They only work about 9 months of the year, when school is in, no pay on holidays, school in services, all summer off, etc.
