Broken ribs are so painful and takes time to heal every movement is so painful no laughing no coughing 🙏. This is serious as one of the broken ribs has either punctured his lung or he has a tear in his lung wall, only JESUS , Trust in Him Alone 🙏UK

My son who works in Montana had a trucks accident. Broken ribs in front and back damaged lungs and shoulders and lungs. Was in hospital for 3 weeks. We live in South Africa 🇿🇦 which is about 11 thousand miles away. Hopefully he can fly home soon. Wishing Ryan a speedy recovery.🙏🙏

Make a road to that clearing you have a nice garden, some carrots, potatoes, onions, turnips, kale, cabbages, only thing is??? Do you have deer or moose, they WILL EAT IT

All I can say is OUCH!!! And thank goodness it wasn’t any worse than it could it have been, I was terrified that he had broken his back or something like that. I have a friend who fell from the stairs off her back deck because of a rotten railing and broke her back in two places. Her apartment is on the second floor of a heritage building, granted I think she was coming the down the stairs when it happened but I was immediately worried about her as a broken back is nothing to joke about.

Oh, I feel for Ryan, breaking your ribs is Sooo painful, I did that in April, and it took about 4 months to heal, still not totally up to par, but way better, so scary he is lucky to be alive, lucky he has you, there to help him, I hope your kids can come and help fix your cabin for winter, chop some wood, finish the woodstove, you are going to need it soon

Why don't you make a standing Loft, up by those windows?? I Mean I know Ryan can't right now, since he had a bad fall

Oh my goodness,when I see on here what was going I couldn't read fast enough or wait for you to speak fast enough. I was genuinely scared for you guys. Thank God it's not worse. The first thing I did is pray he's ok & that his injuries bad enough to be life threatening or real real serious. Anyways, you both be ok & I know I will be thinking about you guys & especially keeping you all in my prayers. Gosh poor Opal. I bet she nearly had a heart attack especially after not being able to get to him & stay with him. I bet she don't let him out of her sight for quite awhile after she gets him home. I'm sorry to hear about Ryan. I know what it's like to hurt your back. I broke my back a year ago last spring. It is the worst feeling in the world. I am so happy that he is doing so well. Prayers are with you both.

I slid off the top of an iced up log truck and crushed three vertebrae almost 12 years ago and now can't walk far or stand for more than a few minutes. Needless to say, that certainly "put a hitch in my get-along"! Because of that I am bound to cling to and take comfort in the promise from Romans 8:28, "And we know that ALL things work together for then that love the Lord and are called according to HIS purpose." I am praying for Ryan's speedy recovery and you both gain from this experience. I've grown to love you both and want to see y'all succeed in this wonderful endeavor. May God Bless you richly!

Melodi, you are a very strong woman. You are also correct when you said "you never know how you will react until you react" .... you have proved that you are someone that can be counted on when needed. What you did was commendable, not only was it a potentially life threatening incident, it involved a loved one and yet you kept your cool and took control. You kept Ryan still and got medical on the way. Ryan has a great partner that he is able to rely on. It is amazing how the "Mothers" instinct can take control when it is needed. I have broken ribs, these will take a long time to heal. Take care, both of you are in everyone's thoughts and prayers. Tom

Oh my, so traumatic, i hope ryan heals fast, its a miracle he is alive. Prayers for a speedy recovery

I forgot to mention, my husband slipped and fell a few years ago . After a few weeks his breathing became labored, so I took him to the ER. They found he had a pulmonary embolism ( clot between his heart and lungs ) They sent him/us to Intensive care where he received a treatment called the clot buster. It dissolved the clot within 24 hours. Thank God and the incredible Doctors!! I'm glad they are keeping Ryan so they can watch for signs ,if he has any...hopefully not!

I do believe that GOD gives us the strength we need for each trial we endure. You are strong, Melodi, and those tears you cried after the fact were to help wash the fear and pain away. Tears are cleansing, yet reserved by some... for just the right moment. GOD collects our tears in a bottle. The LORD has you and Ryan in HIS heart and embedded in HIS hands forever.
