The North deal of playing two games in the west does stagger me a little, particularly after the Club did announce at the start of 2022 that they had CLEARED THE DEBT! I can only gather that the on-field performance of the past 5-6 years wouldn't have done anything to perhaps stay in the black but I can only still see a slow build in on-field success as the Devils enter the League. The gradual accumulation of free-agency periods coming up with some of North's current young talent over the next few years will only make things harder for the Club to retain their talent. It's already been assured that Colby McKercher will be a player within the Devil's debut season - with the beauty of returning home with a monster contract and a spot within the leadership group, or better still offered the captaincy as a sweetener - stealthily steered by the AFL Despite the Club's 'green shoots', Gerard Healy's haunting description as 'The Expendables' appears enticing to the AFL to keep an even number of 18 teams in the competition. Could the 'Fizroyesque' period of 30 years ago come to haunt the game again?

Update TBF max Holmes player a majority of the season at half back and on the wing and in the last couple of games was placed into the rover where he started to bloom. A full season in the rover will allow him to be an A grade player.
