Et c'est vrai c'est un culture shock. I too felt overwhelmed from the noise and traffic in Kathmandu (but even more so in the cities of India and Vietnam). The countryside is so pretty and peaceful though 😊

You guys have to be careful when you come to Brazil, especially if you're coming to Rio de Janeiro common foreign travel destination. There are a lot of muggings and robberies. If you're filming on the street with your cell phone, people will pass by on their bikes and steal your cell phone or do something more serious (this is also common in São Paulo). Brazilians are generally very hospitable, but some may take advantage of you because you're a foreigner and sell you more expensive things. Here, there's a mentality that if you're a foreigner, you have money. I used to live in the interior of Brazil and I was never afraid at all because there are no muggings in my city. But I came to São Paulo and I find it strange how scared people are here. For me, it's radical because I wasn't used to having to be on alert, but it really is dangerous. My intention is not to scare you, but to make you aware.

Thank you for sharing and being honest with your difficult feelings. Traveling is rewarding but so hard too. And it's refreshing when someone can mention when it feels hard.

You need to treat leather boots with waterproof spray or some bees wax. Also when you take them off spray the inside with desinfectant. It kills the bactetria and they will smell less.
