I have a number of merino shirts and have not had trouble with quality. However, you must be careful that nothing rubs against them like the zipper and snap of your pants. I wear only pull-on pants with mine. (Watch things like that bum bag too.) I also wear a very thin short sleeved undershirt with mine to prevent deodorant from getting on the wool. I turn mine inside out and hang it on a hangar overnight to maximize airing.
Hei Louise Will you ever make a q&a about your lifestyle ? How you've come to become an ultra minimalist? Also vegan ?What inspired you to do such ?Maybe share some resourses that helped you in your journey etc I have so many questions😅 Also for a vlogging camera for travel i reccomand you Sony ZV e10, specially made for it.😊
The bum bag is a very good idea. When I last travelled, I travelled with a very old breast pocket under my jumper, which was also practical. I look forward to new videos on minimalism when you get back from traveling.
Hi Minimalou...I once bought a fashionable blue Mens turtleneck sweater and I looked great in it and I bought a fashionable Mens Black Versace Golf Shirt and I wore it when Guiada De Laurentiis was signing for me her cookbook
That bum bag is such a good idea! I was wondering why the straps were so thin, it makes total sense that it's going to be worn under a shirt. Stay safe on your travels and I hope you have a wonderful time. :)
I think you did a great purchase with the icebreaker clothes. I bought a long sleeve in 2018 and went on a full-time travel trip for over 4 years and it is still in super great condition. When I buy Merino now, I only buy icebreaker because I know I can wash it easily and it lasts forever (I tried a German Merino Brand before and it ripped so fast)
I just love seeing you being so excited about your travel plans!! Really makes me wanna buy some merino whool clothes and do some travelling aswell! Can‘t wait for all the vlogs to come! And please do a wardrobe video before you leave,I need some advise for building a minimalist wardrobe 🎉 Already excited for your next video, love watching them, they always relax and inspire me instantly! Bises de Berlin xx 😊
You might like to look into the difference between superwash and non-superwash wool! All non-superwash wool has the same properties as merino wool, just merino is one of the finer staple and softer wools that is aggressively marketed by Australia & south America. Non-superwash wool felts in the washing machine‘s normal program, superwash (= plastic-coated) doesn‘t. But you can wash non-superwash in the machine if you use a wool program.
I have watched a lot of travelers lately saying that merino wool is very convenient, but the clothes last only few weeks and start ripping because it's very delicate. So comparing price to quality it's not worth it.
Yes merino wool is more fragile than others fabrics, but I already bought one merino top and one merino legging in 2022 for my travels in Northern Europe, wore them every single day during 2 months, I still wear them today and they are in perfect condition. Let’s hope my news items will last a long time too !
How do you wash and dry your merino wool clothing? I feel like it’s more complicated than other clothing like 100% cotton which is what has kept me from purchasing this material in the past, but it sounds so great!
It should be aired more than washed but you should be able to put it through a wool program easily enough. It will probably be destroyed if you put it in a dryer.
I wash my merino clothes appropriately every week or two. 😊 I turn the clothes inside out, put them in the washing machine with my regular laundry detergent, I use the delicate wash cold cycle or 30°C. And I let it air dry. 😊
Je regarde tes vidéos souvent, le concept de minimalisme est très intéressant et grâce à toi je minimise mes produits de beauté ou mes habits, la semaine dernière j’ai vidé mon dressing en gardant que l’essentiel.. merci et bonne continuation
I really loved your new wool clothes! The colour is great, that's my favourite one too. It goes with your eye colour. Have you ever tried barefoot shoes? They are very lightweight and minimal looking.

wool socks are a must for me
after 7.5yrs, i've had to replace a few but imagine this: 8 pairs of socks for almost 8 years... not bad!
Wow indeed! You wore them at all seasons? Not too hot?
@@minimalou_yt yes! they're moisture wicking & temperature "regulating". i run & hike in them too.
