we have something called Free Little Library in the US. It's the same as you describe. They are found all over in the US. I even saw one once on the back of a motorcycle! Take a book or leave a book. It's one of my favorite things.
Hi Lou, I am really loving your vlogs and I am also Welsh so it was lovely to hear that you met a nice Welsh person! We Welsh feel an affinity with the natives of Brittany! It was also really lovely to see a fleeting photograph of DoubleFace!!
So glad you got out of the bad situation. I can totally tell when you are tired! I am amazed, I'd be so nervous about finding places to spend the night etc.
Haha yeah it’s about living the present moment and not be afraid about what’s next, especially if you haven’t figured out things yet, knowing that in any case, you will be ok ☺️
I was so excited for the dog hotel, I'm so sorry you got a bad experience:( good thing you continue your trip and went to more beautiful places! You guys are such beautiful souls wishing you the best on your travels❤
Ahhh Louise, I absolutely love your channel 🥰 it makes me feel so calm and peaceful, like everything is okay in the world! Your values really speak to me, I’m so excited to see all your next adventures!
I am so sorry this happened. I am glad you are out of there! And after all you did WALK AWAY :) oh great book, I remember when I first read it and how much I loved it.
Ahhh your videos just make my day🥰 I really hope that one day I will be able to do the same but for now I have bad back and shoulder problems and always worry about what mattress etc will be in a hotel when I go on holidays💀 If I hopefully sort out my issues , watching you two has made this my dream😍
I'm so sorry to hear that you had bad experience with your host in Zagreb. Summer season is finished, so there might be very small amount of jobs available on the coast, but on the south of Croatia (Dubrovnik - Neretva county) it is very busy picking season of agrumes, so there might be people looking for seasonal workers who offer accommodation for exchange (Opuzen or Metković area). Whole Croatian coast is lovely, specially cities like Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik. Plitvice Lakes are magnificent. Please try to visit them now when you are so close to them. I wish you good luck with your travels!
Hi!! Yes maybe we have found something near Zadar, to work in a olive tree farm in exchange of food and accommodation 😊 We will do the whole of Croatia for sure! 😄
Love watching your travels! You'd be very welcome in the UK anytime :) and the welsh accent is lovely! My mum was welsh and she had such a lovely speaking voice! Happy travels x
I love that you are taking time again to learn Spanish 🙂 I am bilingual, Spanish and English and it is beautiful to know more than one way to communicate with people. Here where I live I’ve only had the need for those two but learning another language would be awesome. American Sign Language seems to be quite useful around here so that might be one to consider. Your vlogs have been so fun to watch! I’m sorry the volunteering didn’t work out. You handled it gracefully, did what was best for you both and have a positive outlook for the future. You will always have everything you need when you have perspective like that. Can’t wait for next weeks video! ❤ P.S Axel being so happy about the small coffee pot made me laugh 😂
Yes I agree with you it’s beautiful to know more ways to communicate with people! I know as well some simple French Sign Language and I used it in Paris when I meet a deaf working person and I’m glad I’m able to communicate with them! 😊 That’s really sweet thank you, and yes Axel made me laugh too when I was editing that 🤣 Thank you for the support ❤️
Nice to see you again! It's really sad that that volunteering wasn't a volunteering at all. I think some people just consider it free work. I understand what you mean when you tell about your chat with the Welsh guy. The thing is that you tune in to the person like and an instrument in a concert. I feel it too. Moreover when I read a lot in a language or watch something the words and frases just start travelling in my head, it's very fun. Good luck with your Spanish, I think your 'R' is just right! (So far I speak 7 languages, let me know if you need any tips on the subject).
Hi! I liked the metaphor of the instrument in a concert! 😄 Wow 7 languages, that’s impressive! How did you learned to many? Are you able to practice them regularly?
@@minimalou_yt I just did it one by one and figured out how to do it easier. Some of them I do practice a lot as I'm a language teacheer, others not so much. But it's always nice when they come handy once in a while.
I was just reading Jane Eyre before watching this video - what a small world 😊. Try Agnes Grey (Anne Brontë) next if you enjoy Jane Eyre - the characters are somewhat similar but Anne Brontë novels tend to be more lighthearted and fun 🤓
Back in 1933, Patrick Leigh Fermor, aged 18, set off on foot from the Hook of Holland to walk to Istanbul (then Constantinople) and much later he wrote about his travels. As you enjoy reading, I‘m sure you would enjoy his entertaining books, A Time of Gifts and Between the Woods and the Water if you ever came across them, as you, too, travel slowly through Europe in the 21st century👍
Thank you!! I have a « international » internet service which includes 35 countries in the world where I have 35go of internet access. When we will go to a country where I don’t have internet access, I will buy a local prepaid SIM card to use internet. And of course I use the wifi as much as possible 😊
I had my fair share of bad experiences with crazy dictator sociopath owners for volunteering, so I immediately sensed yours there with the lady will be like this too, especially since it was also in Croatia... :(
Double face means « two faced » in french, just like the Colors of her head, and it is also the name of the villain in Batman who has a two faced head 🌓 The second I saw her face this name came to my mind right away 😊
I can't believe you didn't know about oreos being vegan before! They're a vegan staple! A major food group! I Don't know about Europe but in the US we have many flavors 😊 my favorite is java chip❤

Me too! So many of them in Seattle
Oh I love that is it a thing in other parts of the world too! 😄 I love the concept

Hi Helen, thank you for your comment 🫶🏼💕 Yes I absolutely fell in love with Wales even more 🏴❤️
So glad you got out of the bad situation. I can totally tell when you are tired! I am amazed, I'd be so nervous about finding places to spend the night etc.

Yeah me too but things don’t always go as expected, that’s life but the important thing is to keep going 🌞🤓
Thank you so much for your support 💕

Oh yes we do love Croatia 🇭🇷 ☺️

Croatia looks truly amazing! Thankyou for sharing. ( I was worried that you may have lost an earring on your travels.)
Thank you for watching and your nice comment 💕 I just have one earring because my second ear cannot wear earring because of infection 😬
@minimalou_yt Oh! I hope it heals soon for you.
❤Lovely video again!!🧡🍁🍂😘
Thank you Caroline! 🩷

Ok thanks for the recommendation! I cried my heart out last night because of this book🥲

I wanted to ask what you do to get to use your Internet connection in every country since you travel a lot ?
Thank you!! I have a « international » internet service which includes 35 countries in the world where I have 35go of internet access. @minimalou_yt thank you for answering 😊
Hope you both are having a fun and safe travel!
Aloha wow did good on your backpacking on this video
Thank you Rueben! 🤗
Maybe looking for free places to stay free is good. Lots of good people out there but also not so good. Keep smiling and being you! Stay strong. 🙏
I had my fair share of bad experiences with crazy dictator sociopath owners for volunteering, so I immediately sensed yours there with the lady will be like this too, especially since it was also in Croatia... :(
can you please share more about your experience? That sounds like a terrible situation!
Oh my dear I am so sorry to hear that… I hope you did have good experiences too with volunteering? 🤍
💓💓💓
How did you come up with the name for your dog, Double Face? Never heard that before!
Double face means « two faced » in french, just like the Colors of her head, and it is also the name of the villain in Batman who has a two faced head 🌓
The second I saw her face this name came to my mind right away 😊

Haha no I didn’t know! But really glad I discovered it 😄 No we don’t have as many flavours as the US 😊
